Second time at Pheasant Rise & probably sixth time at Villa Farm. Great place to stay staff friendly & helpful everything you need (except salt& pepper!) Welcomed feedback given would definitely recommend & stay again
Dove cottage is perfect, it has everything you need and is clean and comfortable, we've been going there for four years and love it.
The Bishop cottage exceed my expectations. Lovely property, with lots of character and space to easy accommodate 4 people. Property is equipped with everything what is needed for a stay with dishwasher and washing machine in the kitchen. Tv with Netflix. Highly reccomend.
This was another short business trip to York. I found property clean and well equipped for self catering. Spacious open plan kitchen/ diner and lounge. All positive
Beautiful cottages on the edge of York. Well maintained and clean with basic furniture. However there is an Issue with the design of the fixed shower panel on the bath in this cottage which means you can’t actually reach the taps/ plug to use the bath without stepping into the bath. Also there is No hairdryer provided so remember to bring your own!
We had a brilliant time during our 2 day company event. The staff were attentive, the food delicious and the cottages were comfortable. The peaceful setting of the barn and outdoor terrace was perfect for our meetings, bbq and celebration event.
Villa Farm were very accommodating. We needed an open ended arrangement while waiting for visas to move to Spain. They were very flexible and Coney cottage was like a home from home. Everything we needed for a relaxing, comfortable stay. Highly recommend.
We booked the cottage for a hen weekend. The location was fantastic to get into York and the site itself was lovely. The cottage was very spacious and well equipped with everything you need. The outside space was great and having access to a hot tub was lovely. I’d definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a location for a bigger group with easy access to York. There’s also plenty of parking too. You’ll need to bring a speaker if you want to play music as there isn’t one at the cottage.
We were absolutely thrilled with our stay in Minster Lodge. The information provided ahead of our stay was thorough, clear and accurate. Any questions we had were answered super quickly. The lodge was spotless on arrival and the amenities in the kitchen were fantastic. All additions we’d asked for such as BBQ, travel cot and high chair were provided without issue. The oven was huge and really easy to use, so cooking for 16 was as easy as cooking for 4. There were no issues with the heating, the hot tub, the WiFi or the showers; all things that usually are a bit tricky in places like this. The...more
We have stayed here many times now and its always very clean and warm and there is everything you will need for your stay, it's a very safe place to stay and plenty of parking spaces and is always nice and quiet and the staff are amazing we really love this place and will always come back every year.
We went to Celebrate 2 Birthdays, we were 65 , and a Retirement, the stay was Absolutely Brilliant, All 18 girls proper enjoyed themselves ,we stayed here 5 years ago, enjoyed it, that's why we came back for round 2, We will be back in the future x
Great location for a trip to York - close enough that you're in the City centre in no time and far enough away for some peace and quiet in the Countryside. Clifton Moor has restaurants, gyms and 10 pin bowling - about 3 minutes away. The whole place has been tastefully converted and looks great - the Cottage we had was clean and well equipped. Definitely recommended.
Booked it for a stag weekend for 10 of us, expecting the usual basic accommodation consisting of just the essentials and a a little bit scruffy. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find the place in great condition, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and 2 decent bathrooms (I didn't use it, but apparently the downstairs shower was great). Easy to check in as it was left unlocked for us to arrive, and the only slight issue was that our hot tub wasn't working so we had to use the one for the cottage next door (which was about 5m metres further down the patio). We weren't bothered by ...more
