From the moment we arrived after a very long journey, we knew from the greeting we were given my Suzanne (waving to us eagerly from the fields) that we would be made to feel welcome. Suzanne and family were one of the highlights of our stay but also the fantastic accommodation, the location and the views were all part of the fantastic week we had. We’ve stayed in many cottages but I would rate this among the best we’ve had the pleasure of spending time in. If you like cooking then the kitchen is fully equipped with high quality tools and appliances. Although this is our fourth time in the l...more
Another enjoyable stay by Loch Tay. The house (downstairs: two bedrooms, - one with ensuite & bathroom and upstairs: studio with sitting room, dining area, toilet and utilities area ) has a fantastic vista east and south along Loch Tay. The weather, even though early October, gave us opportunity to sit on the balcony. All in all it was wonderful.
This not so wee apartment is fantastic. So much room and everything you need for a relaxing break away from home. A short distance and easy walk into Aberfeldy the apartment is well situated for trips further afield too. Super clean and comfortable.
We really enjoyed our short stay at Ballencrieff House. It's a beautiful house with a lovely, cosy atmosphere and very user friendly. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived, with a welcoming tray on the kitchen table and the Aga providing warmth and endless cups of tea for the duration of our stay. I really hope we can come back soon.
Excellent self catering holiday accomodation. Location is perfect for seeing Perthshire. Recommended.
Beautiful location. Great cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. A couple of problems that we had were sorted out straight away by very helpful member of staff - Angela. Interesting places to visit nearby including The Birks of Abergele, Queens View and Loch Tummel. Would definitely visit again
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at very well equipped and comfortable accommodation. Comfortable and ideally suited to a family group with different ages and different requirements. Lovely to have decking at the back with plenty of space. Perfect for us and we had a really successful holiday!
The Longhouse is fabulous. Everything is of a very high standard and the house is equipped with everything you could need. The decor is fantastic and done to a very high standard. We had a family holiday with a 2 year old and 8 week old and the location was perfect with lots to do around Aberfeldy. Our toddler loved the horses, chickens and cows in the fields just outside the house. We would highly recommend the Longhouse for peace and quiet, fantastic views and comfortable accommodation.
Booking was very easy as was entry to the house via the code box containing the key . We arrived at 6:00 pm in September in Scotland so it was great to be welcomed by the heating already on! The house is stunning. From the open outlook with large glass frontage to the breathtaking views of Loch Tay. The condition of the house was perfect . The cleanliness outstanding . The kitchen had everything required . The beds were comfortable . We will certainly be booking again.
This was the first and second week of three. We are very familiar with what to expect, the surroundings are stunning whatever the weather and the levels of comfort are generally very good with one or two exceptions we have previously commented on and which have not been addressed. The condition on arrival looks good although some of the detail requires further attention in the Covid19 situation. The new cleaners need some oversight. However, we raised issues as we went along, this was welcomed and the manager was responsive.
We felt the house was in a really excellent location and would definitely look to book here again. A couple of things that could be done better if we are honest - to be asked to strip the bed linen is a bit odd, given that we basically missed a full day of being in the house due to covid restrictions, so would have thought the 8.5 hours would have been suffice for a cleaning company to clean the place and strip the beds. It wasn’t spotless. There were marks on the bathroom floor in one of the bedrooms, the double bedroom at the front of the house smelt slightly of damp on arrival. C...more
Great location, beautiful setting. Cottage is on 3 floors, which is not clear from website, but which suited our family needs. Dogs welcome with a welcome basket provided, access to waste ground and riverside walks straight from back of cottage, again great for us with our dog! Fairly well kitted out, just a few wee maintenance issues which we expected could have been seen to considering it must have been closed.for a.while. Not enough mugs! Some chipped and a set of ugly thick ones! But otherwise yes good and we would go back.
Firstly a big thank you to Angela for being easy to contact and for all her help when the Scottish Government changed self catering arrangements less than 48 hours before our holiday started. Tullichuil was beautifully clean for our arrival and we felt very safe with all the arrangements in place. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this cosy, comfortable house and loved that it was all on its own up a long track. The views were fantastic and there were plenty of walking and cycling opportunities in the surrounding area. We would love to return next year.
Bay Tree cottage is a great get-away cottage, rural but easily accessible to the interesting town of Dunkeld, the A9 and numerous walking opportunities. There is a good sized kitchen/dining area and 2 sitting rooms. The bedrooms are nicely furnished and the beds are comfortable. There is a pretty garden with options for outside eating and straight out of door options for dog walking. The steps down from the lane into the back garden and the bathroom are fine for active oldies but could be an issue for someone with walking difficulties. There are plenty of options for eating locally in Dunkeld...more
