Dunan is a charming period property with many original features. It sleeps 7 and is dog friendly. Its location on the edge of the town mean all the local amenities are within easy walking distance, there is even a play park right across the road. There is a large garden at the rear with a lovely picnic table for alfresco dining.

We had an excellent 3-week stay, just as we did last year, and hope to do so again next year. The location is perfect for us, being so close to my family on Taybridge Terrace. We were glad to see the suggestions we made last year for improvements were considered - such as the lock on the downstairs bathroom being fixed, and the wi-fi booster. Everything else was near perfect for us. The only suggestion I would think to make this year would be to have someone clean out the upstairs shower plug. The shower was slow-draining last year, and it was slow again this year, risking an overspill onto the bathroom floor. I opened up the drain filter and removed a huge pile of long hair. I think this should be done prior to new renters arriving. We also had to get our own toilet roll refill, I'm not sure if that is normal practice or if more rolls could be located in the cupboard under the stairs. Perhaps a dryer for laundry - on wet days (or winter days) I'm not sure how people would dry their clothes (I could thankfully use my mother's dryer). Other than that we were delighted with Dunan and can't wait to return. Thank you.

Ruhig, mit einem schönen Garten.
Top Lage , Einkaufen , Restaurants in nächster Nähe.

We enjoyed our week and were v.lucky with the weather. A few comments/suggestions:
A drier, which failing an airer, would be a huge benefit.
It seems a pity that, because of such limited space in the downstairs bathroom, the shower is pretty much unusable - especially when it seems likely that the 2 smaller public rooms next door to it will seldom be used. A much more practical cloakroom/shower room could have been created in one of those rooms.
Although it was def “outside weather” during our week, we found the garden furniture provided wasn’t the most comfortable- or perhaps we’re showing our age!
We don’t self-cater while on holiday so didn’t test the kitchen facilities apart from the kettle, toaster and washing machine!
We like Aberfeldy and hope to return one day.

I wanted to come “ home” to Aberfeldy for my 70th birthday, so booked Dunan for a family get together. Ample room for the five of us, with a large garden to sit out in. Large enough to accommodate a gathering of friends and family on the Sunday who travelled from various locations in Scotland to join me for the day to celebrate my birthday.
Good peaceful location with a great view across the Victoria Park to the hills beyond . The house was well equipped with a modern kitchen
Many changes in the town since I was last here, but also many things haven’t changed that much like Dunan and that area of town.
Enjoyed a number of local walks and the weather was fine for the whole week.
Definitely would come back.
The only slight disappointment was that the recycling bin was already full, but Angela suggested I leave my recycling in bags and she would deal with it, which was very helpful.

We have just returned from a fantastic Easter weekend break at Dunan in Aberfeldy. The house and garden are amazing, with lots of space for a large family plus dog. The location was excellent with stunning views across the hills and only a short walk into the centre of town or for a stroll along the waterside. Would thoroughly recommend the house and look forward to a return visit.

We stayed in Dunan for a week at the end of February. The house was warm and welcoming for us and out 3 dogs. The house has everything you would need and is a home away from home. As well as the dining room and lounge there was also a small sitting room and office space. The garden is huge- much more so than is shown on the website. The house is in a very quiet residential area so is very peaceful. Dunan would be an ideal base for families, walkers and perhaps groups like golfers, cyclists/triathletes provided they don’t mind the sharing of bathroom facilities.

Beautiful home. Fantastic location. We were lucky to have arrived during the early snowfalls for the area and it was like winter wonderland. Will definitely come again.

We booked a last minute stay at Dunan for 4 nights.
We have stayed in Aberfeldy and the surrounding area several times but we have never been this close to the town centre.
We made the most of the fantastic location with several trips to the
park. We also walked to the local shops and bakery. There are lots of other lovely walks from the door.
The house was very clean and spacious. It was tastefully decorated with a good balance of traditional and modern features. The furniture was all very comfortable. Including the beds.

The kitchen was very well equipped, we cooked in the house the majority of the time. This was no problem at all.

We had stayed in a hotel for a couple of nights on our journey up so we did have some washing to do. There was a washer and a clothes line but no pegs. As there is no tumble dryer we decided to buy some pegs and use the washing line to get some washing dry. Luckily the weather was nice. We left the pegs for other guests to use. We felt this house would benefit from a clothes horse or tumble dryer. Especially in the winter months for guests with young children who are staying more than a couple of days.

The garden was very well maintained and a pleasure to be in (even just to peg the washing) the views are amazing!

We were so impressed with this charming old house. We hope to visit again soon but for longer next time!

Dunan is a new holiday-let home and I think we were only the second family to use the house since it came on the market a few months ago. We would love to use it again. Great house!

Good points:
Dunan is a lovely big, warm, comfortable home for a large family group or two families sharing. The location is brilliant – right across the road from a good park for children with imaginative playground and bike/skateboard ramp. The views are stunning over the park and golf course up to the hills. It’s centrally situated in the community, so there's easy, level walking access to shops. The kitchen is excellent; the beds comfortable; a great big TV and large comfy leather sofas with throws in the main lounge and even a piano and guitar to play in the other public rooms. There are three public spaces, so plenty of room for folks to spread out. The long back garden is ideal for children playing and for BBQing, although an actual BBQ was not provided as part of the facilities.

A few recommendations:
• A tumble dryer or combo washer/dryer would make a big difference to the laundry needs..
• Extension routers for wifi signals are needed, as we couldn’t get wifi in bedrooms.
• Pasta/noodle bowls would be a great addition to the crockery (chopsticks even?).
• The brand-new bathroom upstairs is good, but it’s difficult to use the small downstairs toilet/wet-room as a shower room in
its current form, so the shower facilities are a bit limited with seven people in the premises.
• The wet-room lock needs replacing on the downstairs toilet door.
• Clearer instruction to put out the bins. Maybe a sign in the kitchen advising on bin days and what to place in which bins?
The information is in the black folder, but we didn’t read that immediately.
• Perhaps provide tissue boxes in bedrooms and/or bathrooms?
• BBQ in back garden would be great.
• Waterproof mattress protectors would be invaluable on all beds, if children are to be staying in the house – including on
parents’ beds, since small kids often climb in beside them nowadays. We provided our own waterproof covers for the kids’
beds and made sure we washed everything carefully when “accidents” occurred, as they do with four small boys. Hence
the need for a tumble- dryer!

Two other points of information:
1. We found a local zero waste promotion going on in the Coop supermarket and they were giving away free food compost bins and liners, so we took those and left them in the house. The bags of food can be recycled in the brown-lidded bin in the garden.

2. I booked the house on behalf of my Canadian family and wasn't living in it myself. The comments above come from the adults who were using the house. It therefore doesn't make sense to write Katie from Aberfeldy after the review. But you could write Richard and Oanh from Vancouver, if you wish.

it was perfect !

This was a bitter-sweet stay for us. We would have bought this property a few years ago if possible but wasn't to be at the time and a recent diagnosis meant this really was a wee break with mixed emotions, a holiday under docs orders. So it was really important everything be perfect, no bother and it absolutely was.
We've stayed in the resorts at Kenmore and Feldy and stayed a few times in Camserney but this, our 9th visit to Feldy, I would have to say was my favorite. The property was amply spacious for all 7 of us, full of character and charm with gorgeous original features blended with mod-cons, niche touches and Dunan was immaculately presented.
The gardens were gorgeous to just sit and chill, take in the views and sounds of nature, playing with kids or (gotta be done) enjoy a nice Aberfeldy#12 in the evening. It's just a 1min walk, across the way to a stunning trek around the golf club and river and boomph the scenery was breath taking, is stunning! 4mins to the Birks, a couple of minutes from all our favorite restaurants, (Macdonalds butchers for fruit pudding for a cooked brekky - do it!) 10mins to Loch Tay, Croft Moriag & Achran stone circle and Dochkhart falls are all within minutes 15-40 mins and well located for everything that beautiful Perthshire has to offer.
This place in height of Autumn would be unbeliveable! All being well, we will definitely be back. With a lottery win I'd be back to buy it, no hesitation!
Thank you Aberfeldy. Thank you Dunan. Thank you Angela and the team at Highland Perthshire Holiday Homes, service was excellent before, during and even after our stay!. It was perfect!
