The Fosters, John, Angela & James have over 30 years of experience providing luxury holidays and short breaks at their 12 cottages at the family farm, on the spectacular coast of East Yorkshire and at their 3 superior York city centre apartments, located within the city walls, only a stone's throw from York Minster. in the historic Old Brewery building.
Both locations are central for all attractions, the farm is only 3 miles from RSPB Bempton Cliffs and the magnificent chalk cliffs of Flamborough Head. The city apartments are central to the historic city of York. All locations offer everything needed for a fabulous stay and all offer peace, tranquility and superb luxury.
Both farm and city locations have allocated car-parking spaces, with a secure bike store available on the farm and this can be arranged by request, at York. Electric vehicle charging points are available at both High Barn and Field House sites and are provided at no additional cost.
The prices charged are all inclusive - there are no surplus charges to surprise you!
Always a delight to stay here. The gardens and all around have amazing plants and flowers to enjoy should the weather not be good. Returning here in August with our families taking two other cottages. That is how much we love being at Field House and the area around Sewerby and, of course, the welcome and care the ‘team’ make for your holiday to be a success.
Absolutely lovely cottage everything we needed watching Fiona and her babies was amazing that is a lovely touch in the cottages can’t wait to go back !
Please keep updates so we know all five have survived!
Absolutely loved everything about The Owl House, everything you could wish for in the kitchen, felt as if we were miles from everywhere but didn't seem to travel far to get to all the places we visited. Our highlights were watching the owls, was addicted and eating outcast Salt on the harbour fabulous good and great staff. Oh and best of all we saw Puffins the whole reason for our visit! Hope to return soon, wish we had have booked for longer
We much enjoyed our week's stay at the Spinney. It is pleasant visitor-friendly accommodation, and as we are readers we were specially grateful for the good level of lighting - in our experience quite rare elsewhere. The kitchen/diner/sitting area is very pleasant, leading straight out onto a patio with the pond beyond. Lots of morning sun, and in the evening we often walked outside to enjoy the magnificent sunsets on the other side of the building. Beyond the pond is a busy-ish road, but this is well screened and we soon got used to it. Everything felt very secure, with the electronically ...more
Everything was provided for a lovely relaxing holiday. The immediate surroundings around the farm are very well kept and enjoyable for all, including children. The wider area is also very beautiful and ideal for anyone who takes pleasure in the natural world. Bridlington and Scarborough have all things to be found in sea side resorts.
We have stayed numerous times over many years in The Brew House and always have a great stay. The setting can't be beat--inside the City Walls on a quiet street a stone's throw from The Minster. Easy access by foot all the shops and restaurants in York. The flat itself is spacious, very well appointed, soaring ceilings in the living area, kitchen and main bedroom, good natural light, and in a very quiet building. The Foster's are great hosts and very responsive if you need something or in the unlikely event you have a problem. When we are going to York, we don't browse around the internet...more
We had a lovely stay in The Roost in June. The cottage was immaculate, comfy and homely. We enjoyed watching the Swallows in the barn and visiting the farm animals. The area is great for exploring the East Coast and North York Moors.
Recently returned from staying in Ostlers Corner, what a beautiful place, spotlessly clean, great location and lovely friendly host's, our 1st time in Yorkshire but will definitely be back.
Ideally located to explore all York has to offer, with bonus of off-road parking. The Malt House is very comfortable, well equipped & well looked after, with great welcome hamper thoughtfully provided. Owners followed up after arrival to check all ok. Thoroughly recommend.
We have had teens of stays here, but never in granary before, the view from the large window over the orchard paddock seeing the owls feeding 5 babies during the day was entertainment in itself. The large double fridge came in really useful even though we were only 3 staying. High Barns and the staff make our staycation a real pleasure. Thank you Angela,John and James, and all your staff.
Quiet and peaceful, close to Bempton Cliffs nature reserve. Very comfortable. Would definitely recommend the Old Forge restaurant in nearby Sewerby village if you’re looking for something a bit more upmarket than usual pub grub!
