Fantastic property, really comfortable and well equipped. The owners couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. A great location to go and see the Puffins at Bempton Cliffs, plus places like Filey, Scarborough and Whitby.
Our first visit to High Barn staying in the Hayloft. A delightful conversion with everything we needed to make our stay an enjoyable experience. A very peaceful and quiet location with wonderful views and the added interest of viewing the resident barn owls on the webcam. Very convenient for Bempton Cliffs and the RSPB Reserve. Thank you for the excellent welcome pack full of useful local produce, it was very much appreciated. We would not hesitate to book again.
This was the third time we have stayed in the Owl house (we have also stayed in the Granary) and it didn’t disappoint. A lovely well equipped home in a fabulous location. We love the resident barn owls and we are only a short distance from RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Would recommend to all!
Everything was perfect, immaculately clean, felt like home, so many extras for our comfort, lovely setting, owl cam was addictive, welcome hamper full of treats.
This is our fourth year in the Cake House where the accommodation is first class, spotless throughout and well deserving of five star plus rating! Thanks to the owners for the upkeep and cleanliness, not forgetting the lovely hamper, much appreciated. See you soon.
The apartment was lovely. We struggled on the 2 low settees in the lounge. Everything provided.great location in city walls and close to tour bus stop.
We have stayed in this and several other Heritage Escapes properties and can’t recommend them highly enough. Our number of repeat visits over several years says it all. Hinds cottage is a comfortable,stylish cottage well located to explore this beautiful part of the country. We especially enjoyed the evening visits of the barn owl watched hunting in the field from the cottage.
Quiet and comfortable right in the centre of the city. The Minster tower visible through the window and just a short walk away. Everything on the doorstep. Remarkably quiet, with even the Minster bells just quiet in the background. Good lift with room for wheelchair access and, for those like me with mobility issues, good handrails in the shower/toilet area. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and good to have a light duvet. Nothing negative.
Always such a warm, friendly welcome from John, Angela and James. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you. As with previous stays at the cottages, Ostlers Corner was clean and comfortable and perfect for the 3 of us. Our granddaughter loved the play area and particularly the trampoline. She didn’t want to leave. The location was perfect for us for the beach and Sewerby Hall which was a lovely day out with their Easter activities. We will definitely be returning.

Field house farm is an excellent location. Nice and quiet, very well presented and clean. An ideal location for walking. Some great pub/Eateries within easy walking distance theShip at Sewerby, theMartonian just down the road. 2 miles from Bempton cliffs RSPB we saw puffins, gannets, razerbills, and lots more along the coast down to Flamborough, Dolphins and Seals. Bridlington is much quieter than Scarborough also we found it was cheaper as well. Sowerby house and garden's is a good day out.
To find a holiday property within the city walls with secure onsite parking and outdoor space was fortunate. To find one which was clean, comfortable, stylish and very well equipped was a real bonus! Literally a few seconds walk from Treasurer's House and the Minster in one direction and a plethora of good eating places in the other, it was a perfect location. In addition to good quality crockery, cutlery, linens and kitchen equipment, there was plenty of information about the area, books and games. We had a wonderful last minute midweek break staying at the Granary. The location was so peaceful but yet so close to the beautiful coastline. The building had been tastefully renovated and the huge arched window in the master bedroom had fantastic views over the garden. The accommodation was immaculate and extremely comfortable. We were fortunate with the weather and could sit in the garden just watching the wildlife and enjoying the tranquility. We have had a lovely relaxing stay. Perfect accommodation and a great base for visiting the local towns and country side. We have stayed in 3 of the cottages and all very good, clean and well equipped. Thanks we will return soon.
From the get go, so organised and helpful. Once you get there, it’s really well looked after. Homely but also private. Definitely feel very welcomed. The owners are lovely, friendly and helpful. The cottage is really good in all respects. No complaints. No other feedback, other than excellent. Can’t wait to come back to stay. ♥️
