Another great stay, over Christmas this time. Russell had even trimmed up for us. Everything there that you need, came back lovely and relaxed.
Our second stay in Lanhydrock, Trevalgan Farm, St Ives. Absolutely superb high class accommodation set in beautiful Cornish rolling countryside but also with sea views. Spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean with very welcoming, friendly, accommodating hosts who are on site. Extremely dog friendly too. We really appreciated the excellent stress free bus service to and from the site into St Ives, enabling some relaxing drive free days, but there are also lots of wonderful places to visit on days you wish to drive. Located in a fantastic spot for coastal walks with great bus routes to return from walks, lots of extras offered to assist with your break, perfect to visit lots of Cornwall’s tourist spots and more importantly perfect for dogs!!
A lovely peaceful stay in a great location, the stable was very well equipped & had everything we needed. After getting caught in the most torrential rain it was lovely to come back to somewhere warm & cosy! Thank you for the delicious afternoon tea & the dog treats. The bus service was very also very handy to use to get into St Ives during the day time.
The farm is quiet and comfortable, just outside of St Ives. There were buses running into town right from the site, but check the timetable. The town is also walkable via footpaths from the back of the farm which also connect to the coast path. The room had everything we needed and was very restful.
We found the Carthouse perfect for our family, it was spotless, everything you needed to make you feel like home, we had our daughter and two adult grandsons with us, so five altogether, also my daughter had her golden doodle., and our little service dog, there was plenty of room for us all. Our son and his wife with a little grandson were camping in the caravan in the field next to us, they came over to have a meal with us all one night, it was fantastic, we would highly recommend the Carthouse, and I am a fuss pot where we stay!
