Another great stay, over Christmas this time. Russell had even trimmed up for us. Everything there that you need, came back lovely and relaxed.
Our second stay in Lanhydrock, Trevalgan Farm, St Ives. Absolutely superb high class accommodation set in beautiful Cornish rolling countryside but also with sea views. Spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean with very welcoming, friendly, accommodating hosts who are on site. Extremely dog friendly too. We really appreciated the excellent stress free bus service to and from the site into St Ives, enabling some relaxing drive free days, but there are also lots of wonderful places to visit on days you wish to drive. We had a great few days walking with our dogs, the location couldn't have been better. Easy access to The Tinners Way to get to Zennor or tother way to St Ives. The accommodation was very comfortable and relaxing and couldn't have chosen a more ideal location for our break.
This is an extremely good place to stay, with gorgeous sea view, very well layed out and thought through. Can highly recommend. PS the only suggestion for improvement would be to incentivise the farmers to permit a more direct access to the South West coast path (a walking trail towards that exist, but it's a fair bit to walk atm), a narrow path through their land. A bit of barbed wire and their fields remain safe
Russell kindly agreed to accept me, my husband and 4 dogs very last minute. The property had everything you needed and was a good size for us all. The enclosed picket fence was perfect for us and the dogs to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sun. Very peaceful location. Would definitely recommend
We found the Carthouse perfect for our family, it was spotless, everything you needed to make you feel like home, we had our daughter and two adult grandsons with us, so five altogether, also my daughter had her golden doodle., and our little service dog, there was plenty of room for us all. Our son and his wife with a little grandson were camping in the caravan in the field next to us, they came over to have a meal with us all one night, it was fantastic, we would highly recommend the Carthouse, and I am a fuss pot where we stay!
