Our second stay in Lanhydrock, Trevalgan Farm, St Ives. Absolutely superb high class accommodation set in beautiful Cornish rolling countryside but also with sea views. Spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean with very welcoming, friendly, accommodating hosts who are on site. Extremely dog friendly too. We really appreciated the excellent stress free bus service to and from the site into St Ives, enabling some relaxing drive free days, but there are also lots of wonderful places to visit on days you wish to drive. Absolutely fantastic property and location. Excellent for dog owners with private dog field and local walks. Very friendly host Russell and family always welcoming and can't do enough for you.Hourly bus service from property very useful in summer months. Altogether a fantastic holiday destination and will continue to stay each Year .
A lovely peaceful stay in a great location, the stable was very well equipped & had everything we needed. After getting caught in the most torrential rain it was lovely to come back to somewhere warm & cosy! Thank you for the delicious afternoon tea & the dog treats. The bus service was very also very handy to use to get into St Ives during the day time.
We are a multiple returning couple having stayed in three of the different accommodations available over the years. Russell and his family are extremely welcoming and friendly to this working farm, and nothing is too much trouble. From the Cornish cream tea on arrival and the free range farm fresh eggs available, with sea views in the distance and rolling lush Cornish countryside in the foreground…the peace and tranquility this accommodation offers is cosy and second to none with generous parking, yet only a few miles outside St Ives. It is simply perfect and we are already planning our return...more
We found the Carthouse perfect for our family, it was spotless, everything you needed to make you feel like home, we had our daughter and two adult grandsons with us, so five altogether, also my daughter had her golden doodle., and our little service dog, there was plenty of room for us all. Our son and his wife with a little grandson were camping in the caravan in the field next to us, they came over to have a meal with us all one night, it was fantastic, we would highly recommend the Carthouse, and I am a fuss pot where we stay!
