The Nest was clean and comfortable, nice private garden and very easy access to the train station and the New Forest. We would stay again. Lymington was 10 minutes on the train, nice walks looking across to the Isle of Wight.
We have just returned from our BH Weekend stay at SeaBiscuit. I truly wonderful property which was in the heart of the Lymington. Grant (the owner) welcomed us with the key and was great at explaining the layout of the property and tips on where to go and eat in the local area. Kitchen was fully equipped and the living room comfortably accommodated all our us with the big and comfortable sofa's. Great windows/doors that fully opened into the court yard/garden. Grant helped us locate free additional parking down Grove Road. A Great stay - we can't wait for our next visit!
House was amazing and a wonderful place to stay. Good location for local beach and only 10 mins from Lymington.
We stayed at Moonwood House for an extended family holiday, three generations and a dog. The house and gardens were stunning and very well equipped and comfortable. Eveything was great. We all loved it - so much that we had to chase the dog round the (large) garden to physially remove him when we he worked out we were leaving. The service from NFE was brilliant from the booking onwards.
Lovely accommodation in a charming village location. The cabin is a perfect balance of luxury and back-to-basics. Everything we needed was there and the sauna and fire pit add a cosy element.
Had a lovely stay, with friends. Weather was amazing and the property was lovely. Only complaint was finding someone else’s knickers in the corner of the bedroom. Rest of the house was clean!
We loved the space provided inside and outside the house! The children had a lot of fun in the gardens front and back. Happy children equals happy everyone else!
Myself and two friends had a lovely stay in Nutmeg House in Lymington. The house is very central, nicely decorated and well equipped with a lovely outdoor space just off the sitting room. I’d highly recommend a stay here. It is rather tricky getting a car into the parking space but the parking clock supplied came in very handy for parking in nearby car parks. Definitely worth a stay here!
We went as a group of 6 adults, 8mth baby and 22mth toddler. Choosen as had no stairs to worry about and it’s location to Burley. Everything you need in property and fantastic location to get around to many places. We all really enjoyed our stay in Oak Lodge. Hired a chef for a night to celebrate 2 family birthdays - Jen came to property to cook & serve. [email protected] - highly recommend! New Forest Escspes were really helpful answering any questions (thank you Lauren!) that we had before our stay - being we had 2 young children. We were able to get extended time on departure - whic...more
We all stayed here Christmas week with our son and daughter in law plus the three grand children plus three dogs ! .... Both main and the separate annex were finished to a high standard and were in very good condition and well heated, loved the beds plus the bath and shower rooms, all very modern and smart ....the huge annex was a godsend and allowed Mum, Dad plus us grandparents a little bit of space and privacy when needed .... Lots of local artworks adorn the wall in all rooms and this was a nice touch ... Very private location that overlooks the river estuary and we were surprised by how q...more
We had a lovely stay at Saltwood, the welcome cake, milk, tea & coffee were a lovely welcome and the cake very tasty. The property is located in a prime position an enabled us to sample south coast living in preparation for our planned relocation there. The property is extremely well equipped and in excellent 'as new' condition.
This was a special request from our daughter for our extended family to stay here again to celebrate her birthday. Surrey Lodge is beautifully furnished, perfectly located and extraordinarily well equipped.
We were a party of three related families. The accommodation was wonderful and James gave us a warm friendly greeting on arrival. The location stunning where we were able to enjoy the local places of interest. The house was very comfortable and offered entertainment for children and adults. Would definitely recommend staying at Broombank if considering visiting the New Forest.
Comfortable and had everything we needed. Burley has a convenience store and numerous eating places. Direct access to the heathland. Would love to stay again.
High Tide is a stunning seafront house and is beautifully furnished with high quality, stylish equipment and accessories. Beautiful 'themed' cushions and pictures add a delightful finishing touch The upstairs lounge was perfect for our group of six, with an enormous comfortable sofa. There are also other 'cosy corners' to sit, including in the downstairs snug and at one end of the kitchen. We enjoyed a coffee on the large balcony on a sunny Sunday morning. The pool/air hockey table was fun and the sound system was great. You could just sit for hours looking out to sea. The bar was also a fun...more
We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful house, it exceeded expectations. We will be back :)
Had a lovely time at swallow cottage. Very well equipped and lovely and close to the sea. Nice long garden for the children to play in.
A wonderful wonderful holiday at this super property, immaculate condition and everything you could ask for. My children throughly enjoyed the garden and we enjoyed 2 BBQ’s. Lymington and surrounding coastal areas are glorious - my boys loved crabbing and the beach particularly at Mudeford which is a fantastic place. Only slight reservation we had was the presence of external security cameras. Whilst understanding the owner has van left at the property this is a little unnerving feeling you are being watched.
Great place - would be even better if we could have closed the blinds for real privacy. Lovely interior, close to the beach and very accommodating hosts. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely well equipped house in a central location, excellent for visiting other parts of the New Forest. We had a great stay.
The accommodation was beautiful, clean and well presented l. The location was excellent and very close to town. A fantastic place to stay in!
Great position but the patio is very exposed to the wind and there was as always lots of wind. However the patio was very nicely done. The property has 2 bedrooms with a sunroom the other side of the windows and so for privacy the blinds would have to be closed which means they are dark, this is not ideal but the other room was very nice with good en suite shower. The kitchen is very well equipped, lounge and diner are good size and parking is good. Milford is easy walking distance and has most things for everyday shopping plus a great selection of eating places.
We had a wonderful time at Captain’s Keep. The house is fantastic and laid out so well for a family to enjoy together. The garden is lovely and the BBQ cabin a truly amazing space to enjoy cooking or roasting marshmallows in any weather. The location is wonderful - a very short stroll to the quay and high street and the pub next door is very friendly and a lovely place for a drink or dinner. Having the parking is a real bonus too. Customer service was amazing, very responsive and helpful. We would love to come back again!
Little thought given to basic functioning. Two pots and two drying clothes for eight people! No spare bedding or towels. Overpowering freshners everywhere. No instructions for anything so wasted time and couldn’t make fire work. NO CAR CHARGER just outside socket on different level needing 15 metre extension. Parking difficult. No response to my email from Forest Escapes afterwards. Great location just a sense of meanness with facilities.
Highly recommend staying in this gorgeous home in the heart of the forest! The decor is stunning and such comfy beds with excellent bed linen! It really suited our family of 6 adults and a 2 year old! We had the shops, pubs and station within a few minutes walk yet had donkeys and horses regularly at the front gate! This home was a lucky find and a real gem! You won’t be disappointed! If you want quality, this is it!
3 generations of our family stayed in the house for a family get together to celebrate a 70th birthday. With 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, the house provided plenty of space for everyone. There was an excellent playroom complete with puppet theatre, that our young Grandaughters loved. Outside there was a nice seating area and lovely wide flat lawn, giving all 3 children plenty of space to run around and providing a great area for family badminton and tennis games. The garden also had a Wood Fired Pizza Oven and Charcoal Barbeque. (We found wood for the oven on sale at a local garden centre)...more
We had a wonderful family holiday in this beautiful house. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped, everything has been really well thought out, from the bed linen to the furnishings. So much to see and do in this lovely part of the world. We look forward to a return visit.
I booked the cottage to stay with my daughter in law who was singing in an opera in Southampton & her children, aged 2 & 4. I made a mistake in my first booking because she needed to take the train to Southampton & the booking I had made was four miles from the station. New Forest Escapes were very helpful & offered Popsy Cottage in Sway, five minutes walk form the station. The cottage was great for children, stair gate, cot, high chair, toys. The equipment & appliances are all good quality & toys were provided, so the children were safe & happy. Sway is a big village with good facilities, sho...more
This is a premium property, beautifully decorated and furnished, with a games room and a hot tub. Kitchen well equipped and there was a welcome pack (although not a lot of room for your own stuff!). We enjoyed our stay here. The location is on the edge of the village of Bransgore, meaning a long walk (15-20 mins) or short bike ride to the shops and pubs (Three Tuns recommended). It is easy reach by car to the rest of the New Forest and also Bournemouth (we had great weather so went to the beach too). The bike rental place in Burley also delivers bikes here, and it not too far to get onto of...more
We booked Little Nye alongside the main house Nye Creek. It was perfect extra space with easy access to the garden / hot tub / dining. Worth knowing that it is very close to the main house if you are booking separately. The bathroom for the main house is directly above Little Nye’s bedroom. Running showers and flushing toilets are quite loud. The bed in Little Nye is quite low and the bed is very firm. Very comfortable pillows and bedding. As a self-contained space, Little Nye has everything you need. Perfect location for the forest and the coast.
Fantastic location for exploring the local area and visiting New Forest, Isle of Wight and Milford on Sea. Beautiful area and great for bird watching. House was lovely and had everything you needed. Really nice garden too.
The cottage is perfectly located in the heart of Keyhaven, right next to the lovely Gun Inn pub but with no noise to bother you at night. The bedrooms are comfortable and there’s a huge family bathroom. The only downside is that the downstairs area - kitchen and living room - is a bit small for 4 people. If you are lucky with the weather it will be no problem as there’s a lovely patio. Overall it’s a great place.
The main house is very comfortable with a beautiful, large lounge with a log fire where we spent our evenings relaxing and chatting. During the day we enjoyed sitting out in the sun on the garden furniture and using the hot tub ( the pool wasn’t available to use at this time of year) and the privacy of the large garden. There were a few things we weren’t happy with about the quality of the annexe, but the property manager was so helpful and came over to sort this out for us. The location is stunning and we had a walk over to Burley across the gorse and horse filled fields for a delicious pub l...more
Oceans Reach is a superb house in a great location for both the cliff/beach and the shops - both mere minutes away. Check out Bakehouse 24 for awesome coffee, bread, cakes and lovely staff. The holiday house was a real treat - ideally suited to larger groups or families. Southbourne is not a classic seaside neighbourhood so jot too busy and hectic and has a chilled vibe - the sandy beach is a delight. And you're close to many other nice areas and the forest. NFE office team very helpful.
Well equipped house, so useful to be given dog towels and beach towels, kitchen had everything. Location was peaceful but easy to get around, nice walks on the doorstep. Garden enclosed and great for children and dogs. As a keen reader of everything the book selection was the best I’ve ever seen
This was for our family us, daughters+partners and one 2.5 year old, to meet for a few days together. The roomy house was ideal. The kitchen and bathrooms spotless. The added selection of books and toys for the little one were very helpful. We ate in and we ate out (Smugglers great for vegetarians plus a tiny play area which helped). Weather was mixed and on the day we walked out a little it was very windy - but hey this is the coast! The courtyard garden was a safe area for the little one, and we used the BBQ to good effect.
Gin’s Barn is in the most magical setting in the New Forest. We loved being able to walk out on the pier over the estuary. The owners have done an incredible job of the interiors making it feel sophisticated, calm but cosy. It is full of beautiful artwork and unique touches. The house is spacious and it’s fantastic to have so much outdoor space. It was perfect for our family celebration and we had a wonderful weekend.
Incredible garden with gorgeous views, easy to spend hours sat taking them in. A really well set out house in a location that provides access to plenty of walks and bike trails. Highly recommend.
We had a lovely stay in this comfortable well equipped cottage, ideally situated for visiting Beaulieu, Lymington, Bucklers Hard and Lyndhurst. It was wonderful to see the ponies and donkeys wandering freely, and the cottage really is in a beautiful area. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with high quality appliances with ample crockery, cutlery and glassware. In short, it had everything you could possibly need.
We were two parts of an extended family, with four adults and five children. Two Sides Cottage was absolutely perfect. It was clean, well equipped and comfortable, but in a homely way and not so pristine that we worried every time the children dropped something on the floor. We loved the quaint layout, the garden was large and ideal for a lazy afternoon barbecuing and playing badminton, and we found plenty to do in the local area. New Forest Escapes were absolutely great to deal with and we really appreciated the personal service, with phone calls to check everything was OK (and to warn ...more
Sway Corner is a great place for the family and our 4 legged friend. The location is perfect and an easy drive to everywhere we went. Not too much in walking distance, but perfect if you were driving to places around the New Forest or beaches etc. The house is perfect size, modern, and clean. We had fun in the evening playing some of the games provided in the cupboard. Has a big Garden which the dog and kids both loved.
We had a wonderful stay at Thatched Hat Cottage, which is just as picturesque as the photos suggest. The garden is beautiful, full of flowers and greenery, and my 3 year old had a lot of fun exploring. The cottage itself was very clean and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen for cooking meals. Comfortable beds and spacious living area for gathering. Perfect location for exploring the New Forest with many walks and pubs nearby. We also really enjoyed meeting Fiona and would love to return when visiting the area again.
No 24 has everything you need to make your stay in a beautiful part of the world perfect: Spacious, stylish, and close to anything and everything you'd want to do. We've stayed at No 24 twice now and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else!
We had a fantastic stay at Deer Lodge and would definitely stay there again. The location is perfect—peaceful, scenic, and close to everything we needed. The lodge itself was cozy and well-equipped, making for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. There were just a few minor issues worth mentioning: the ping pong balls were broken, so we couldn’t use the table; the pool cover was slightly broken and had to be pushed manually; the outdoor dining area had cobwebs all over and had to be cleaned ourselves; some of the toys didn’t have batteries so the narnia cupboard mentioned wasn’t fully functioning...more
Beautiful cottage in the perfect location for walking in the New Forest directly from the garden gate. Our dogs loved it as much as we did. Very pretty garden with seating. Comfortable, well equipped property. Good pubs and village shop. In good location for visiting local attractions. Definitely a place to return to.
This is a lovely house and extremely well equipped. It's in a perfect location in Lymington. There are plenty of great restaurants and pubs on your doorstep. Easy access to the New forest and other coastal towns. Unfortunately, we had a mini heatwave during our stay and could not use the master bedroom which is in the roof space.
Lovely cottage in great location with everything you need all provided We really enjoyed our stay in Lymington
Lovely few days in a beautiful house. Secure garden and lovely pool. Only downside was poor WiFi but it may have been works in the local area. The pool also needed quite a bit of cleaning each day due to debris from the trees.
It could be so much more, tucked away setting, outstanding view the garden needed some attention but neglected
Absolutely fantastic property, really clean and beautifully kept. The hot tub was amazing and despite some suggestions from the literature not overlooked in any way at all. Big space for parking and two lounge areas to spend time in as well as a large outdoor decking. Great beds and fantastic children’s room. We will definitely return thanks again.
I booked Harbour View as a venue to celebrate my son’s 30th Birthday. What an amazing house!! It made the celebration feel very special. The house is extremely well appointed and has been tastefully decorated and furnished. Everything you need is provided. We had an issue with the boiler, no hot water on demand. We messaged the property manager who responded very quickly.
The presentation of the house is outstanding and the location is wonderful. The service provided by New Forest Escapes is top notch.
Just the three of us, perfectly comfortable and everything you need to have a break. Love the quiet seclusion and yet just down the road are pubs and restaurants. We will be back.
A beautiful mews style flat, right in the heart of the new Forrest, with open woodland immediately outside your front gate. No need to drive anywhere. The mews has a great feeling about it with a modern / rustic charm. Lots of details you may otherwise not get in a holiday cottage - the Nespresso coffee machine with coffee pods, wine in the fridge and even biscuits. Not to mention tea bags. These small touches made us feel very spoiled and cared for. The garden is enclosed so we could relax knowing our dog couldn’t escape. The only small gripe was we did find it cold early mornings and eveni...more
The house and garden was beautiful and perfect for a family break with three generations. Recommend
