Such a lovely place quiet private, facilities are excellent hot tub is lovely highly recommend for a cosy getaway..pubs in the village are excellent .lovely touch with chocolates and champagne from the owners
We stayed here as a large family group of three generations. Everyone was enchanted by the character of the house, with all the quirky art, the fantastic main staircase and so much space. There are so many living rooms on the ground floor that it was easy for different groups to find their own quiet space when wanted. The kitchen/dining area was perfect for large sociable meals, and was very well equipped. The bedrooms were spacious and beds extremely comfortable, so much so I had to check out the brand of mattresses! The children enjoyed the playroom and the outside space, and the grownups ...more
Spent 10 days here and had a fabulous time - absolutely loved our stay in the Cruck Cottage and the New Forest! The cottage is cosy, comfortable and well equipped. Loved the location and garden too. Thank you so much for the special touches such as dog biscuits, logs, and eggs. We really enjoyed the pub too, were lucky to have a band there on our last night! Our stay was perfect and will happily return to this lovely place! Thank you New Forest Escapes for finding us the right fit!
Our second time at Seabiscuit property in Lymington and again - an amazing stay. The property is so warm and cosy with comfortable beds! Fully equipped kitchen and room for a large party to dine around the table. Great location in Lymington with 1 min walk to the high street / Market on Saturday. Covered parking space that is reserved for 1 x car for the property. We will be visiting again!
The service from New Forest Escapes was excellent from start to finish. Nothing seemed too much trouble and staff were always very polite, efficient and helpful. The property was delightful, stylish, comfortable and very interesting, with masses of space (we were a family group of 8 ranging in age from 3 years to 70) and lovely views across the grounds to the Solent. We loved all the artwork on the walls (most was for sale and much by Caroline and Nick de Rothschild, the property owners) and particularly enjoyed our visit to their Palais des Vaches art gallery a short drive from the rotun...more
We enjoyed our third stay at Moonwood . We live in the States so we use this home to have quality time with friends and family on our visits home . So many memories have been made in this spotless relaxing home . A local cook delivered us fabulous home cooked meals we enjoyed around the gorgeous table . Everything in this home is 5* .We look forward to returning next year
Awesome place. So luxurious, peaceful a truely beautiful stay. We will be back and wish we could live there!
What a house. We had the best time, fun & entertainment for children &adults. The playroom, cinema room, are epic. Garden beautiful & the house is lovely. You really have thought of everything & created a home from home feel with a holiday vibe. The perfect combination. The decor is beautiful &beds super comfortable &spacious. Everyone had the best time & we hope to visit again . Thank you for creating a wonderful house for us to experience.
The apartment is beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Everything was prepared perfectly for our arrival with the wood burner ready for lighting, a lovely gift of cake, jam and cookies and fresh milk in the fridge. Fantastic location in a beautiful part of the country. We rented eBikes for a day and Sunday walked along the sea front to The Gunn Inn in Keyhaven. Only request is a few more matches for the wood burner as we ran out. Thanks for a lovely stay.
We had a very pleasant week at Treetops. Deceptively large, light airy rooms, all amenities and very nice welcome pack. Comfy beds. The outdoor space is especially pleasant with lots of trees and birds singing, front and back. The decking is enormous and a sun trap, great for sun bathing, relaxing, al fresco dining and barbecues. The owner (Vivek) was in contact before, during and after to make certain everything going smooth and with recommendations. The location is ideal for exploring the New Forest, visited Burley, Mudeford, Lymington and Poultons Park. All in all a great holiday, woul...more
amazing weekend, beautifully house and location with super views and walks. we will definitely be staying gain
Delighted with the helpful staff prior to our arrival, thrilled with this warm welcoming house, perfect
I had the best stay here and would not hesitate to recommend or return. The hut is so cosy and snug and even on a rainy day is enjoyable. The wood burner heats it very quickly and the infra red sauna is a great touch. The add on breakfast was amazing and breakfast in bed was greatly appreciated. I cannot fault it and it was a friendly welcoming space. Meal wise you can easily do some simple things like salads or brought in sushi. The fridge is small but can fit more than you think!
Couldn’t have been in a nicer place to celebrate my special birthday. Really enjoyed the hot tub and owner and New Forest Escapes answered all our queries quickly
The reality was as expected from the description and photos. Well thought out accommodation to a high standard and we had a lovely stay. Comfortable for 8 adults. There really are NF ponies outside the front door! New Forest Escapes have been very helpful and communication from them was excellent, going above and beyond. Would recommend.
We spent four comfortable nights at The Bend. It was warm and comfortable and very clean. We were six ladies and all the bedrooms were well appointed. Four bedrooms are en-suite with two family bathrooms so we all had our own facilities. We enjoyed the open fire and it had a well equipped kitchen. There was easy parking and we enjoyed a dinner cooked by a private chef on our last night. The cinema room was great for watching tv. We didn’t use the garden but it had some nice seating areas and a bbq.
Absolutely stunning property in a fantastic location - perfect for exploring the New Forest and coastal towns etc. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated to a really high standard and equipped with everything we needed and more. The parking space is only really suitable for small cars but we had no problem using the street and car park options which are all very close to the property.
We stayed here whilst visiting family who live nearby. The location was excellent. Easy walking distance from shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. We particularly liked The Kings Head and the White Hart where the food was excellent. The apartment was comfortable, well equipped and spotless.
a beautiful property, the seaside just across the road, the property was very well maintained. I would highly recommended this lovely holiday home
The property was spotless clean morden and cosy. Everything you need is in the property. Lovely size garden which is fully enclosed perfect for our dog. We enjoyed the hot tub which was spotless clean and easy to use. Great location only 15mins walk from centre of Burley where you can find plenty of places to eat and drink. Lovely walks around the new forest. The walk on the evening is very dark so recommend taking a torch.
Victory Cottage was a perfect base for us to explore the New Forest. The house is lovely, and the kitchen is so well set up with everything you could want which is important to us. The house was warm and cosy and we loved the fireplace and that wood was supplied. Easy to unload the car on the street and parking was no problem.
A clean, cosy place, well-decorated and conveniently located near Brockenhurst station. Communications were friendly and clear, and the place was warm even for a cold winter's stay!
Great location. House like the Tardis from Doctor Who. Careful on the stairs - age matters! At the time of our visit, shame about the weather (TV not set-up for easy viewing). Lounge, kitchen, bedrooms, etc. modern and comfortable. Parking convenient for two small cars - thanks. Pathway to BBQ hut over grass, mucky / slippery! Family time to celebrate twin sons' birthday, we loved our time in the house, and with a next door pub! Thanks for this experience.
We had an early family Christmas in this delightful cottage and couldn’t have chosen a better location for it.
The apartment is lovely, cosy and spacious. There was a great selection of snacks there and milk in the fridge was a nice touch. It’s a great location as it’s near the sea and the new forest. The directions were incorrect on the email we got sent so we got a bit lost but found it in the end. I think it should make it clear on the booking that this is like an annexe attached to someone’s house. The mat in the lounge is coming apart and leaves bits of it all over your feet etc. The kettle was full on scale and the toaster was filthy. But other than that we enjoyed our stay but think it was not v...more
This was our second visit to Furzedown and was again extremely successful. The property is spacious and ideal for a family gathering. The children loved the music/ play room and large garden. The various wildlife visiting the garden creates interest for all. Good location. The welcome pack is a nice touch.
The photos do not do this property justice. It's a beautiful house with everything you need for a perfect holiday. The hot tub, gym and games room provided that extra 'thing', especially for a family of 8. Combining this with lovely walks and pubs nearby, as well as a large number of 'attractions' so close, there was a lot to do. And amazing hosts too, so helpful. If there was anything we would change it would be to properly secure the property as our dogs did find some 'escape' areas. Just lovely.
A very attractive and spacious house in immaculate decorative order. Popsy Cottage was extremely well equipped and welcoming. Situated in the peaceful village of Sway it is in a great location for visiting the local area with lovely walks and cycle rides in the New Forest just minutes away. We also enjoyed a coastal walk and made use of the Sway railway station to travel further afield. Contact with the team at New Forest Escapes was easy and they were quick to respond to any communication. I would highly recommend Popsy Cottage as a holiday destination.
We were a party of 2 guests staying at Nuthatch in 2 bedrooms, for a long weekend Thu-Sun. The house is lovely, very well appointed, comfortable & beautifully decorated. At the time of our visit the property was relatively new to the rental market & we did have a few minor teething problems with operating the central heating and a couple of bits of snagging - nothing that spoiled our overall enjoyment. Happily the management team responded promptly and managed to resolve swiftly which was greatly appreciated. Location is excellent. It’s central enough for a short walk to all the amenit...more
Very spacious and comfortable. Exceptionally well equipped. There is a big garden with plenty of outdoor seating.
This is a wonderful house for a family celebration. Top quality kitchen and beautifully decorated house. We really enjoyed staying here despite a very rainy weekend. It was ideal for all our family including two dogs. Such a comfortable house which enhanced our visit.
We stayed at Needles Point in mid-November to visit our daughter who is studying at a nearby University. The property and its location were just stunning. And despite some heavy rain on our first day the rest of our stay we had (for November) some great weather. The property had all the things you could ever want for a long weekend break. The team at New Forest Escapes were very helpful both in providing advice and information before our stay, checking in during our stay and also returning some lost property post our stay. I can't recommend this property and New Forest Escapes more highly and ...more
We booked Little Nye alongside the main house Nye Creek. It was perfect extra space with easy access to the garden / hot tub / dining. Worth knowing that it is very close to the main house if you are booking separately. The bathroom for the main house is directly above Little Nye’s bedroom. Running showers and flushing toilets are quite loud. The bed in Little Nye is quite low and the bed is very firm. Very comfortable pillows and bedding. As a self-contained space, Little Nye has everything you need. Perfect location for the forest and the coast.
Fern Villa is exceptionally decorated, comfortably furnished and luxuriously equipped for a brilliant family stay. The fully enclosed rear garden is excellent for dogs and the outside lounging area lovely at night with fire pit under the stars. Amazing to see the local ponies, donkeys and horses wondering on the road out the front. A nice easy driving distance to the best beaches and walking trails right from Brockenhurst to explore.
Wanted a break in the New Forest and this cottage met that desire. It was comfortable and homely with every thing that you need and more. Would happily spend more time there.
What a lovely warm, cosy and welcoming home. 3 generations enjoyed this lovely home with everything we needed to make our stay just right. 10 minute walk into Lyndhurst through the field and the New Forest just round the corner. Lovely shops in town catering for all our needs. Weather for October was very kind to us. I expect this home is even lovelier if you get a chance to sit outside on a lovely warm evening. It was very quiet so a nice peaceful location. Thank you to the owners and everyone behind the scenes.
This was just right for our family group. Well-equipped. Well placed for short, level walks by the elderly and infirm but with longer options for the younger and fitter. However, my son-in-law, who is somewhat disabled , and I, age 92, had some accessibility problems particularly with the staircase. The handrail is too wide to be held securely. It would help to have an additional second handrail of a smaller diameter which could be fully grasped. It would also help if one of the upstairs toilets was adjacent to a wall to which a grab rail could be fixed, to help with sitting and standing...more
Nye Creek was ideal for our small family and dog, although very good for large families also. The accommodation was excellent and so well equipped. The Gun was very close and the food was excellent there Access to local towns and villages was very good apart sometimes the traffic. Everything was clean and well looked after. The beds were comfortable, and the showers were nice and clean. The stairs don't have a banister just glass so anyone disabled would have a problem.I'm over 80 and didn't have a problem but I have no mobility issues either. We all had a wonderful time and would recommend i...more
Excellent. Just walked straight in & felt very comfortable. Ideal for Keyhaven and exploring the New Forest.
We wanted somewhere that was suitable for a family celebration that was both relaxing and comfortable for ages 10 to 80 in a quiet location and in this respect Valley View ticked all the boxes. We loved the cottage annex which proved very suitable for our group and which matched the quality of the main house in every respect. The location is amazing and the younger more able members of the family enjoyed taking advantage of the beautiful unspoilt surroundings and saying hello to the ponies and donkeys who were never far from our front gate! Sometimes descriptions and photos provided by holid...more
We had a lovely week stay at Gins Barn. It is comfortable and spacious and in a great location. Holly and Julian could not have been more helpful and their dogs were very friendly! Sitting outside as the sun set by the river was a great end to the day.
Sway Corner is a lovely homely cottage. It was beautifully clean & well equipped. The beds were extremely cosy & comfortable. Very easy to walk into Sway for local shops, pub, railway station & into the Forest. For EV users there is a charger in the recreation ground opposite the cottage. All the New Forest Escapes staff were so friendly & helpful.
I arrived at the cottage after dark and the only sound was owls in the garden. It’s an incredibly peaceful and beautiful part of the country, with the New Forest right outside the door. Lovely cottage, really cosy and with a well equipped kitchen (and herb garden). The service from New Forest Escapes has been brilliant, they’ve been quick to respond to queries and helpful with my last minute changes. After 2 nights here I want to retire and move to the New Forest!
We had a lovely time at Two Sides Cottage. Great size house and garden, and comfortably fit 8 of us. Lovely quiet location. You do need a car to get to places as rural location without any footpaths on the roads. The cottage had a really lovely feel to it and rustic charm. A highlight was hearing the owls at night and seeing a variety of birds in the morning.
Burley Mews is a lovely property in an idyllic spot in the forest. It has a stylish modern interior with quality furniture and fittings. The kitchen is well thought out and well equipped. The bathroom with shower over bath again is modern and stylish. It is ideally situated for walks in the forest and the village of Burley is easily reached on foot , as is the The White Buck Inn. There are open views from the property. Our visit at the end of November coincided with a very cold few days and unfortunately the bathroom and living/kitchen area of the property were very cold despite the central ...more
We loved our stay in Nutshell Cottage. It was cosy and the decor was lovely. Everything provided in the kitchen. Location was great and parking really close by. However, twin bedroom is very small and the lounge seating isn’t enough for 6 people. There was 5 of us (adults) but we struggled.
The swimming pool was a lovely size in a lovely garden. We struggled with the downstairs bathroom shower which was low pressure and sometimes the power ceased altogether in the upstairs bathroom. There was an unsightly staining on the ceiling above the upstairs shower. There were not enough cereal bowls and dessert spoons for the 8 of us. The dishwasher filter was very dirty. The mugs on the shelf had unsightly tea stains which we had to hand wash to get clean. Generally felt that the bedroom curtains were rather dated and didn’t have blackout linings. It was very bright in the morning. The...more
The house and garden are lovely and very spacious so plenty of room for a get together. Well equipped.
A lovely house in a nice road, but please note the following... The two double beds could do with being a little larger - especially as this is a great 'couples' house The table sits 6 comfortably, but adding in the red 'additional' chairs made seating awkward for 8 - suggest to either change all chairs or provide a larger table The natural place to stand and put make-up on in the main bedroom is by the large window, suggest a good mirror there instead of the wall prints The games room is a little 'oversold' and 'under delivering' for adults - especially the pool table and small TV The...more
Beautiful little cottage. Everything you needed perfect place to recharge your batteries will definitely return one day.
The house was lovely and very much in line with the pictures. Kitchen very well stocked with basics and a few books and board games provided. Hot tub was great also and really warm on arrival. The only main downside was the very close proximity to the A337 Christchurch road which generated a constant traffic hum. I was particularly aware of it going to sleep and early in the morning. There are also some building works going on at the moment two doors away which generated some noise in the morning that woke me a couple of times. If it weren’t for the road noise, I’d consider going back anoth...more
The Boat shed has everything you need for a stay. The kitchen is compact but well equipped, the pull out bed is very comfortable and there is plenty of space to relax in front of the fire. The shower is also hot and good pressure. The secluded garden makes for a great spot for a quiet cup of tea. A fantastic find and I may well be back.
The location of Ashdale Cottage is lovely. The house and annexe could be better - we arrived to a blocked upstairs toilet with a plunger still in. The main upstairs bathroom hot tap was not working, this has clearly been an ongoing issue as there was a welcome card for a previous guest stating this issue (and that it would be fixed). The majority of beds were really uncomfortable especially the one above the kitchen (rock hard). The annexe smelt of damp so we chose not to use it. The main house smelt musty upstairs. There were dirty greasy oven dishes in the cupboard and the overall level ...more
