A fabulous relaxing stay as always. Credit to Sam & all of the team. Had a great trip to the farne islands to see the puffins. Ate out at pubs/ cafes nearby all excellent & recommended by Sam on the website. Beautiful beaches clean & dog friendly. So much to see in the area. Already planning our return visit.
Stayed here many times and already booked to go back in July . Great value for money , fab hot tub . So close to Beadnell beach and cafes only 15 min walk . Has everything you need . Can’t wait to go back !
Stayed at The Sanderling. Beautiful shepherds hut in a stunning location. The Sanderling and Beadnell had everything to relax and recharge. Walking distance to the beach and local bars/restaurants. Car parking for 2 cars at The shepherds hut. Will definitely return. Next time will come with family and book both The Sanderling and The Sandpiper. Just need to sort out dates and see when both huts are available. Hosts are very attentive too leaving us a bottle of fizz and chocolate. Much appreciated. Thank you. Sharon Talbot
Yet another wonderful stay at our favourite holiday home. It has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of cutlery crockery & utensils. The oven is huge if you intend to cook for a large group. We love the space,plenty of comfortable sitting areas to watch both sunrise & sunset. The bedrooms are very comfortable & having3 bathrooms is a real plus. The location is excellent our grandsons love the accessibility of the beach to fly kites & do watersports but also rockpooling all within 2 minutes walk. Great break at Mains Cottages again, 16th visit. Humans and dogs had a lovely week. Owner Sam is very welcoming and nothing is any bother.
A brilliant cottage for a bigger group. We even had the other Mains properties next door so a group of 21 for a party was catered for on the weekend. A great location for walks or even a drive to Alnwick. We walked to Beadnall beach, Seahouses ( a good walk!) breakfast at 'The landing ' which was lovely and a shorter walk for Sunday lunch to ' Beadnell Towers' which was absolutely delicious! We have stayed at Shepherds Cottage before and noticed some new things this time. New bedroom set ups and freshly painted decor, larger pans for cooking, and the garden is looking lovelier.
