Stayed over half term with my children 8 and 11 and my Dad. Easy to find and instructions were great. Apartment was just as described. It was lovely and warm and clean and tidy with spare towels. It’s a good 20 minute walk into York which is well lit with good pavements. We also got the bus in sometimes which was a minutes walk from the apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Had a wonderful time the lodge was gorgeous and very homely. I would recommend to anyone who wants a quiet week away. The hot tub was amazing and the bath with the LED lights was such a nice touch. The only small thing was that the toilet light was on a sensor and kept turning off while we were in there. But other than that a beautiful place to stay.
We had a great stay over New year at this property. It was tastefully decorated and had ample hot water and was very warm .Check in details were great and easy to understand and hosts communication was fantastic. Highly recommended

absolutely excellent stay here. Great proximity to city centre but still quiet and private. The host is very responsive and the instructions to find/get in the apartment were clear and concise. Unfortunately the WiFi was down during our stay but the host made me aware of this beforehand and reimbursed me for the public paid WiFi instantly upon check out. overall a 5* star stay and I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for somewhere great to stay in york.
Bootham 7 is the perfect find if you are looking for somewhere close to the town centre that has everything you need! Great that you also get free parking with this place as York can be a bit of a nightmare! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would come back in a heartbeat!!

Very good apartment, a short walk from the centre of York. Everything we needed for our stay, comfortable beds and a good shower with toiletries. The kitchen had a supply of tea, coffee, sugar and milk in sachets which was very useful. Overall very pleased with the accommodation.

The house was in a nice quiet area, it was clean and very large, the hot tub was great and it was alot bigger than I expected.

Me and my partner had a lovely stay at the Blackthorn lodge. The lodge itself was absolutely beautiful, and the outside facilities was amazing! Will definitely be staying there again for sure!
The Airbnb was in a perfect spot in York. Everything was in walking distance, very clean and tidy apartment couldn’t have been better for the price. E.g. the bed was the most comfiest bed we’ve ever stayed in!!!
We have just returned from our trip in York and we couldn't fault our stay. The property was decorated for Christmas so was very festive. The location was excellent close to bars, restaurants and cafes. The property was clean and had everything we needed for a great stay!

Good points: lots of space, great location, quiet, warm and comfortable Negatives: Shower issue ongoing from previous reviews so couldn’t have hot showers on our last night/day, top floor bedroom very steep staircase, lack of basic facilities such as toilet roll to start you off as described, no luggage storage
We stayed here for three nights during the Viking Festival and had a wonderful experience. The apartment was spotless on arrival and equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The central heating kept us warm throughout, and the kitchen had everything required. The location was ideal—just a short walk to the city centre and plenty of great restaurants. The free parking was a huge bonus, and the WiFi worked perfectly during our stay. Beds were very comfy, and we slept well. Highly recommended!

This place is beautiful, set in a secluded spot which offers so much peace and quiet! It really is such a lovely find. The house is designed perfectly and has a quaint and luxurious feel to it. The perfect country house! The games room is an absolute hit and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Will be reccomending to all our friends and family.
Lovely place, nice and secluded spot but close enough to get to town easily. Really close to the racecourse so perfect if you have dogs or young kids! Apartment was really clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay here. Will definitely come back in the future. Thanks
Great apartment in the town centre, we loved staying here because we were clsoe to everything we could possibly need. Aaprmtnet was easy to find and instructions were clear! We settled in nicely and despite the openness of the apartment it felt very cosy. Great communication with office staff! Can't wait to come back <3
Lovely place to stay, great location, chose this place as we’ve stayed here before and couldn’t fault it. Is a great sized apartment, central to all things York. It was very close to the centre , warm and very clean. Parking was not included but next to Monkbar carpark

Great place to stay for a large group looking to spend time in beautiful York! Spacious and comfortable living room, kitchen and dining room area with cosy and comfortable bedrooms. The hot tub was great - and under cover, which was handy! The hosts were really helpful, quick to respond and friendly. Would love to come back.

I booked this place because it was convenient both for the city centre (about 15 minutes’ walk) and my daughter’s student accommodation. It provided comfort and convenience and had everything we needed. The only issue was that there was no easy way to flag that although we were a party of two adults, one of those was my son and so we would ideally have had one of the two sofa beds made up on arrival, or at least had spare bedding more easily accessible. As it was we had to rummage in a cupboard for the right sized bedding. It was easily resolved though and everything we needed was there. ...more
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful apartment! It had everything we needed and was close to the town centre so we did not need to use our car - an absolute bonus! Having the parking permit, which gives free parking for the durtion of your stay is sooooo helfpful. Thanks for a great stay again!!
Excellent accommodation. very close to everything. been to York many times and this wss the best location yet. Just a few mins walk from the minster and the shambles . tesco extra a couple doors away. loveky cake shop opposite "the York tea rooms" although a very busy area the apartment was very quiet. the rooms are spacious and the beds mega comfortable. apartment was very warm on arrival and cozy. even a little Xmas tree in the lounge. had a fab weekend for hubby's birthday and ideal for the xmas markets. Will defiantly book again
Great city centre location with parking. Property was as shown on pictures and had plenty of amenities although could of used a few more spare toilet rolls for our stay with 5 occupants. We requested an early check in the evening before as per instructions as dependent on the previous booking and were told we could check in from 12, no charge which was great. Clear instructions sent about how to find the property/parking and how to self check in/out. Overall great experience would stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at this cute Airbnb. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect — close to York for exploring, but still set in the countryside so it felt peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely recommend and happily stay again!

We travelled as as a party of 4, 2 mums with kids for 3 nights during half term. The property was ideally located for walking to all the York sights - and we easily walked to and from the train station with a wheelie bag. The apartment felt really secure and had every amenity you’d need for cooking should you wish to. Loads of restaurants within walking distance. Great value for money and perfect for putting the kids to bed and being able to sit and chill with a glass of wine. Great communication with the hosts, have already recommended York Boutique Lets to friends.

This is our second stay at Oakwood Lodges. Smooth transaction from booking to check in and check out. All information provided prior to check in including a telephone call which I found helpful. Lodges are all unique in their own styles. Lodge was clean and everything provided from away from home. Very comfortable. We took the children this time and they loved the hot tub, game of pool and darts, we were all kept entertained.
This lodge was beautiful, the hot tub was clean and hot throughout our stay. We have already booked again to come back in the summer
