Our lodge was great with a view second to none, the family who run the site could not have been more welcoming " thanks Jim & family " . The location is excellent for touring the west coast and the Creagan Inn was friendly and welcoming to our large party of eight plus baby. We will be coming back, great holiday and our friends in the Cherry tree lodge say the same.
The overall appearance of the lodge was clean and tidy however, please relay to them that the microwave was rusty inside and we would not use this for health reasons. The kitchen taps were loose and no cover on the freezer compartment, the blinds were dirty when shutting them as they are not being washed. The bathroom taps especially the cold tap had ground in dirt when I used a toothbrush to eat it was easily removed so bit of elbow grease is required. I would recommend this property to others but pre warn them to check the microwave as this really concerned me.
Absolutely beautiful place, caravan spotless and the sight well kept. It's our 7th stay, won't be our last!
I am always suspicious of reviews where all categories are given as "excellent". If there was a classification of Super Excellent, then I would give it to Location and Value for Money. The location of the caravan park is outstanding, set in countryside between Oban and Fort William, and the view from the caravan itself is truly stunning, overlooking a loch with mountains in the background. My daughter and I enjoyed walking up the mountains; my wife and son enjoyed gentle walks around the lochs and the Seal Sanctuary nearby.
We came to stay for the 4th year in a row and as always it was brilliant! Fantastic view at a calm loch site. Caravans were spotless as usual not even as little as a watermark in the showers!!! Caravan site is amazingly run by Julie and Jim which are always available to help out if you'd ever need them( which you probably won't as it's all perfect ) We will be back again if Jim gets us some good weather next time haha! No seriously we will be back. Thank you for yet an other great holiday
Very enjoyable stay at Appin Holiday Homes. We stayed for two weeks. First week in a lodge. Second week in the caravan. The owners allowed us to pack our bags and leave them in the lodge hallway along with an almost full fridge. Whilst we went out for the day. On return to our caravan for our second week, all our belongings and fridge items were safely in there. Very good service.
Our stay at Appin holiday homes was really wonderfull! The location, the owners, Jim and Julie, the stunning view, just amazing!
My wife and I had a great time. Beautiful area to explore. The caravan was clean with all we needed for our stay. Great value for money, cannot fault really. Many thanks.
Appin Holiday homes made it possible to have quite close to both Fort William and Oban. Fort William suited our hiking-style better and it took 40 minutes to go to FW, a bit far to go almost every day. The caravan was good, perfect size for the 4 of us, and had everything we needed in the kitchen, with TV, shower and so on. The nearest restaurant was great. The wifi-room is quite boring.
Appin Holiday Homes is our perfect destination in Scotland. The lodge was warm, comfortable and contained everything for a weeks self catering break. Ideal location on the West coast of Scotland for Oban, Fort Willian, Glasgow (let the train take the strain) and offered the opportunity of visiting our son in the Cairngorms. Jim and Julie as ever are perfect hosts. Lucky with the weather and great to see the Creagan Inn doing so well. Highly recommended.
We were in Badger Logde for 1 week in July. The lodge was clean and we had anything what we needed inside. It was for our planing tours excellent, that we had free wifi inside the lodge (when we booked it, there was only free wifi in the playing room for all guests). The view from the lodge was great. We could see seals and boats on the water. The street nearly the lodge wasn´t not too noisy.
Everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived. 2 adults and 2 teenage children. The lodge was comfortable with 2 x 2 seat couches, TV and DVD player. No wifi in the lodges but we knew that before we arrived. Great complementary tea/coffee tray. Cutlery and crockery enough for us but there were no tea plates. No bath mat for the bathroom floor making the floor slippery when exiting the bash/shower. We could have used something to keep our toothbrushes in but we moved a tumbler into the bathroom for that. Being a front lodge there was a lot of road noise during early morning week days a...more
Buena localizacion, dueños muy amables y casa absolutamente acogedora, amplia y comoda. En un paraje precioso en el que se respira paz. Lo recomendamos!
The lodge is comfortable tastefully decorated. Views are incredible. Outdoor area is nice with bench and garden furniture on the balcony. There was a games room and outdoor chess which the children enjoyed. Very clean .highly recommend
This was our second time staying at Birch Tree, and although the weather was not to kind this year the location is excellent for getting to know the area. The lodge is an ideal base with all the basic requirements to make ones stay comfortable and welcoming. Jim and Julie are both very friendly and helpful should you need them, but they do not push themselves into your space. Local pub serves good quality food should you not feel like cooking your own. Should you be like me, nearly 60 beware of the rope swing could have been a disaster for me LOL.
Another great stay at Caravan in Appin Holiday Homes. Fantastic Location and couldn't want for more. Owners very helpfull and friendly. Although an older model of caravan, it was perfect for us. Everything you needed there and perfectly comfortable. Great walks in surrounding area and cycle path too. Handy for everything yet, a very peacefull place. Could live there no bother! Thanks again for everything and, we shall definately return. A true Gem of a place. Joan and Neil.
The view is unbeatable, the noisey road was not evident from the blurb, most of all the place needs a new bed (coming apart ) new mattress ( deid) sofa, ( see matress) kitchen blind ( broken and rolled up ) bathroom blind ( filthy and stained) as was the 3 legged dressing table stool which had years of stains on the cover. Most of the surfaces had significant dust and in some cases dirt deposits. Wouldn't take a lot to fix but looks like that if your getting £400 for3 nights why bother? Wouldn't recommend
A lovely location. Perfect for visiting fort William, glen coe and Oben. Would recommend this accommodation to others.
