Had the most beautiful weeks stay in Caros cottage, Cartole Cottages. Karl and Miles are so welcoming and lovely. The cottage was absolutely beautiful, had everything you could ask for, location was perfect, just idyllic. Loved it so much that we are returning next year for 2 weeks and cannot wait.
This was our first time as a family having a cottage rental holiday and it will not be the last! The setting is just lovely, peaceful grounds where most of the time all you can hear are birds and wind rustling the leaves on the trees, a perfect chill out location. The cottage was spotless and well supplied with everything you need to self cater including oven, grill, microwave, fridge with ice box and a good selection of saucepans and utensils. Warm greeting by the owners to find Cartole Cottages surrounded by farmland. We were accommodated in one of the 6 pristine cottages. The Old Stable is perfect for one or two people and everything you need. There is a small cupboard for clothes but no room for too much. Otherwise, it was like home from home and made this a perfect holiday. Car or taxi to Looe or nearby popular spots to return to the peaceful Cartole Cottages. Best stay in Cornwall.
Lovely cottage in a beautiful location, very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The owner lived onsite and was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to return.
We always stay at Cartole Cottages for our annual Cornwall holiday. The location is ideal. Hidden away in its own beautiful gardens and surrounded by fields, with local towns, amazing coastal walks and small beaches only a short drive away. The cottages are very comfortable, super clean and well equipped. The perfect base to return to and relax after a day exploring the rest of the county. Our second time at Kernewyck and it didn't disappoint. Warm and cosy - a little gem of a place to stay set in extensive gardens a blaze of colour at the end of April with things for children to play on and in. Be prepared for the tiny (very well appointed) kitchen which is great if you can't stand people fussing around you when you're cooking!
