Since my mums health & mobility has deteriorated in recent years going away can often be a stressful experience. This is the most relax break we have had in a long time, having accommodation that was fully supportive of her needs not only made it a more pleasant experience for her but so much more relaxed for our family. Clean, practical & comfortable. So well equipped & in a beautiful location. We will most definitely be back .
Our stay at Durham was most enjoyable, Homelands are one of the few fully adapted accommodations that we have visited, having space and all devices in place to deal with severe mobility issues. Minor issues we were with the inner porch door, this would slowly swing shut when opened for wheelchair entry. Difficult for a carer on their own while operating a wheelchair. Also lowered kerbs in surrounding area almost non existent I.e when walking the down to the Crusoe Inn. Liaison with Fife Council is needed to sort these issues. That apart it is a superb friendly holiday accommodation to go an...more
Evie spent 3 nights at Emsdorf with three of her favourite support workers whom she has known for years. They all had a great time - especially Evie and had meals out at the Crusoe Hotel and Manor Hotel - both very good. They also spent a day in St. Andrews which they enjoyed. Evie's sister Lilias and myself (David) are Welfare and Financial Guardians for Evie and we were delighted that all the facilities Evie needs were at Emsdorf. We were also able to relax a little bit knowing she was in safe hands with her experienced staff.
We wanted somewhere to spend some quality family time with our mum, who turned 90 this year, but was also diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer giving us limited time with her. This place was just perfect. Plenty space for everyone. The facilities were perfect for mum's needs. In fact she wants me to find out what mattresses you use (on the standard single beds) because she found it so comfortable :-) The only one thing I would have preferred was an enclosed garden as it was quite hot when we were there and it would have been nice to have the patio doors open to let the air through, but du...more
Another great weekend with the family. Londge is great and suits our needs. All the equipment is there for my husband. Thank you once again for a very enjoyable stay.
Myself and the lady I was supporting had a lovely couple of relaxing days in Keil, only recommendation I have is a fish slice for frying and also as the lady is blind and I couldn’t leave her alone a possible choice of having refuse collected from lodge as an option in this case , however our overall stay was excellent
Had a lovely holiday my husband daughter and myself. We enjoyed the peace and quiet at Homelands. Going out for dinner and sightseeing around the area of Leven and St.Andrews, we’re already booked for next year.
Staying in Drummochy is the highlight of our yearly family holiday together where there is ample room for us all to stay comfortably and have a fun week. The house has all the facilities required to make my husband , a stroke survivor, as independent and safe as possible. There are wide corridors and doorways, low counters in the kitchen area, reclining armchairs to assist sitting and standing, a wet room and a closomat toilet. For the rest of the family, the facilities make a week long stay comfortable and easy to manage. The location of Homelands in Lundin Links makes access to the villages ...more
We had a lovely time again and had everything we needed. Staff were very helpful when we had to wait longer for OU transport-we really appreciated that.
