The beautiful lodge is so spacious, built to top standards and met our every need. Our friend who is wheelchair bound, didn't want to go home! Great thought and attention to detail has gone into everything, making this the perfect place for anyone with a disability (and also their friends!).

Lundin was everything and more that we could have asked for. A beautiful bright, light property.. open plan, extremely spacious and was great for free wheeling around, quality furnishings and equipment, comfortable mattresses, modern overhead hoists made life so easy. The laundry room was an additional bonus, everything needed was just at hand. The outdoor space was tranquil and a beautiful spot to have breakfast with a view of the sea. The surroundings were immaculate, so well kept.
The design of the property has been cleverly thought out and our clients were in their glory for their 5 day stay. The holiday itself was very reasonably priced for what we were offered. A huge hit for us, thank you.

We had our first stay in one of the new lodges and it was lovely! So spacious and so well set up. Our very disabled daughter was very well catered for and even had the option of bath or shower which was great. Rooms are all bright and airy and very comfortable. It made for a very lovely family break away.

Very spacious and newly furnished accommodation. Ideal for getting the whole family together to celebrate a birthday. Nice surroundings with patio and garden.

The house was large and had plenty of room for an electric wheelchair and all the equipment needed to transfer me. The kitchen was well appointed and equipped.

Property exceeded our expectations. It was spotless and the equipment supplied made a huge difference. We could never have fitted it all in the car. The property was bigger and higher spec than we expected. We managed some superb outings. The information supplied was really useful too. We were delighted to find we had a sea view.
We plan to return and wish there were more organisations like this one. We were happy to see our money go to such a good cause.
It’s be nice to see a bit more planting in the garden area and maybe bird feeders, as we inevitably spent quite a bit of time looking out of the ground floor windows at the garden and it’s nice to have things to look at.

Had another fantastic stay as the title suggests, lodge is clean comfortable and has everything you can possibly need when being away with some who has additional needs.
The new lodge is beautiful very well designed downstairs with ample space for storage, equipment and getting a round. Having the doors in both bedrooms as well as the sliding living room ones is just a spectacular bonus!!
I only have one negative thing to say and it’s possibly personal preference, the upstairs is so stuffy and warm, the windows barely open and allow no airflow into the bedrooms. I’m unsure if this can be adjusted so the windows can be opened properly, it’s a big difference from the older lodges where they have the big beautiful windows that not only provide a spectacular view but allow for a very fresh airflow upstairs. As I said this is personal preference and in no way distracts from the amazing lodge. Looking forward to our next visit.

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, for returning for another stay and for your lovely comments. We are sorry that you found the property to warm and would have liked more fresh air. The windows upstairs have safety catches on them so they only open around one inch or so them you need to release the catch and then the window can open out a considerable amount. This may have helped you during your stay and we would be happy to show you this if you return to us. We would be delighted to welcome you back again to Homelands in the future. Kind Regards - The Homelands Team

We had very high expectations for the newly built Lundin having stayed a number of times at Cardy which we have enjoyed greatly. Lundin is a superb house which is fully fitted out for my son who has PMLD and a wheelchair user. Everything you will need is there and I was so pleased to find they had an accessible bath which my son loves, I think though the addition of a wall mounted changing table would have made a big difference to the bathing experience whether for bath users or shower users as transferring onto a shower chair/wheelchair to get dried and changed in the bedroom isn't ideal, especially as my son's bed needed to be stripped down to the waterproof mattress in order to get him dried and dressed. Lundin is spacious and comfortable with only a few things missing eg a side table and lamp in the living area so that the ceiling lights don't need to go on, a mirror for anyone staying on the ground floor, and undercounter lighting in the kitchen especially where the microwave is placed as the overhang of the upstairs main bedroom makes it extremely dark, even with lights on. Where the new houses have been built also now means there is a side gate which allows access to the main road so we could walk easily to the nearby shops and hotel instead of driving into the village and parking as pushing a wheelchair uphill to the village and then up the very steep driveway to Homelands is beyond my capabilities. The only downside of our stay was that our neighbours had a dog with them who was pegged at the furthest point opposite their house but the lead length meant the dog had the run of almost all of the properties. On our first day we were taken aback when we were met in our garden by a barking dog who then proceeded to soil the garden which wasn't cleaned up immediately. I think if dogs are allowed, they should be restricted to the property they are in and non dog lovers like ourselves are not having to watch a dog toileting when we are trying to enjoy our outside space.

Dear guest, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review and for your comments and feedback. It is always helpful to have feedback on what has worked for guests and what has not. We do apologise for the neighbouring guest. We provide a spiked length for the gardens to attach leads to which is short enough to contain a pet to a particular area but unfortunately this sounds like someone has brought their own longer one with them. We are sorry that this has affected your stay. We do very much hope to welcome you back to stay again in the future. Kind Regards -The Homelands Team

This was our first time in the new lodges normally stay in drummochy, have to say the new lodge is beautiful layout is perfect for wheelchair users, all equipment is there is great!! The location is fab for going in and around local or using as a base for wider travels. All in all another brilliant stay at homelands
One wee point I have is the upstairs is unbearable in the heat, not sure if fans are something you could provide, but as you can’t open either bedroom window more than an inch or so it’s very hot, defiantly one point the older lodge have on the new ones is the windows upstairs,
Still a fabulous stay,

Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay in our new lodge. The windows in the bedrooms upstairs do open up wider. There is a little green catch on the window which when pressed allows you to open the window out. We look forward to your next visit.
