Had a lovely week - so easy to relax. The house was well equipped. What I like is that it’s modern and and cheerful. We had a bbq on the patio and it was a a real sunspot. We had days out and nice food- I recommend the the Cullin Skink at the Crusoe. If you need carers I was looked after by Handycare based in Pittenweem who were great. Tiny things- whirligig in the garden is not working, more teatowels and had to make the dining table taller with books so I could get my legs under in the wheelchair !
If you, like we do, have people with limited mobility because of a disability in your family and you have, like we have, year after year problems finding a decent place to spend your holidays, then we have some good news. In August 2025, we have spent our yearly family holidays with our sons with such a disability in the Durham lodge of the Homelands resort in Fife, Scotland. The lodge had all the space you need if you have a person with a powerchair in your party, as well as ceiling hoist in the bedroom and the bathroom. The lodge was well equipped and clean. The domain is situated in a bea...more
We hadn’t been on a holiday as a family for such a long time due to my husbands condition. The facilities at Homelands made this possible and we had such a wonderful time. The location made it easy to visit lots of places nearby and return to a very comfortable and purpose build lodge. The lodge was not only great for my husband but also my 4 grandchildren (ranging from babies to older children). The trip was so great, I have given our GP and neurologist the details of Homelands to pass on to other patients.
Stayed in the Emsdorf lodge which was very well equipped and spacious with ample space for wheelchair users. The accommodation was comfortable and the patio / barbecue area and great social space.
We had a very good time at Homelands lodge was comfortable and the weather was great.we go twice every year because our daughter has everything she needs
My wife took a stroke last year that has put her in care for life Finding this facility for disabled people had shown to her that life does go on she has enjoyed getting quality time back with her family and new grandson This has been massive for her mental health it has now shown her that life does go on in a good way and that we can take her out to lead a semblance of normal life once again The facility you have are first class from start to finish and I can assure you we will be visiting again in the future She loved every minute of her trip and felt at home once again On behalf of...more

A stay in Drummochy at Homelands is like a home from home. They provide everything you need for each member of the family, especially those with a disability. Access is easy on the ground floor, with wide doorways and a huge wetroom and the upstairs rooms are spacious and comfortable. Having used the facilities a number of times already, I was delighted that my suggestions had been acted on when I arrived this time - a step stool to assist me in reaching the high cupboards and pasta bowls for everyone! The staff in reception are very accommodating and helpful. We have booked for next year alre...more
This was our 4th time at Homelands and we just love the place. Accommodation is excellent and all of our needs have always been catered for. Helen and the team are very helpful and are always approachable. Cardy Lodge is always in great condition and the area surrounding is kept in very good condition. We have already booked our summer holiday at Homelands for 2026 and thoroughly recommend others to do the same. Such a fabulous place for a break.
