We stayed 3 nights in the Durham accommodation and ordered the stand aid and shower recliner which were both there when we arrived. The property is of a very high standard with lots of adaptations to take the stress out of trips away with a relative using an electric wheelchair. The information and checks provided by the admin team prior to arrival was very reassuring and the information on line and in the accommodation was brilliant. Plenty to do in the area and lots of accessible information available too. We will definitely be back.
This was the first time we have been at Homelands and we will definitely return, my residents had an amazing time from start to finish. The lodge was so fantastic, so much space and all the facilities were great.
This was our first break as a family where we were needing the specialised equipment provided at this property. Really pleased when we found it online. And it didn't disappoint. Recently stayed in the Selkirk with my profoundly disabled daughter and friends while my own home was being decorated.The disabled facilities are first class the lodge is comfortable and clean ,a true home from home.The kitchen is also very well equipped. I do object to being asked to strip the beds before you depart people are there for a break and it's difficult enough to leave by 10.30 am.Hotels do not ask guests to do this.
We have stayed at Homelands many times over the past eight years. Emsdof is one of the new lodges just built this year. It is of a high standard with very comfortable beds and furniture. It is well equipped, spotless and warm. Homelands is situated at the start of East Neuk of Fife so very handy to visit lovely coastal villages. Homeland lodges are accessible for people with all levels of disabilities. There are hoists and you can hire equipment if needed. Emsdof has a large wet room and an accessible toilet downstairs. The house and facilities are excellent. I strongly recommend these houses to anyone. It was warm although it was very cold one evening. The facilities are well thought out. The Bob the builder jigsaw is missing a piece! Two things we noticed. The single beds are quite narrow. My son, had he been there , would not have been able to use it and last time we were with you my husband fell out of the bed because of its narrowness. Beautiful accommodation. Lovely bright spacious house. Well equipped. Lovely helpful staff who came quickly to our assistance when the fridge freezer wasn’t working.
Visited St Andrews and Anstruther, tasted the local fish and chips. Shops in Lundin Links were good, and loved the stroll along the beach.
