Homelands in Lundin Links, Fife, is a great location for a short break away from home. Durham is a 3 bedroom house with all the accessible facilities provided to make an easy ‘home from home’. The house is bright and airy with plenty of space for a wheelchair and no hazards for a walking frame. The site is quiet and peaceful with lovely views from all the windows. Lundin Links has a very good row of shops an easy distance from the site and plenty of open spaces nearby. There is an excellent restaurant, Crusoe, a short walk down to Lower Largo where they will accommodate wheelchairs and dietar...more
We are a group of 5 who have been friends for over 50 years. One lady has MS and is wheelchair bound and we have found it increasingly difficult to find accommodation for our get together. Thank goodness for Homelands. After a recommendation this is now our second stay and we love it. Perfect for disabled people and so comfortable for us all. Can't wait to come back. Management are wonderful and go out of their way to help.
After searching for many years for the ideal place to visit that meets my needs we finally came across Homelands Trust last year (this was our 2nd visit) and we’re so glad we did, the facilities are the best we have came across after trying many others with disabled facilities, most disabilities have different needs to help in every day life but Homelands seem to have thought about almost anything that anyone would need,I had difficulty getting out of bed because of the height of the mattress (profile bed does not suit my needs) and as soon as it was mentioned the next day to Pam she had us so...more
A lovely spacious house with a sun trap patio to the rear with a view of the sea. We were extremely fortunate in April to have brilliant sunshine daily. Rooms were spacious, well laid out. We had the use of the Sara Stedy and my sister was delighted to see that when we arrived. This has been our first visit to adapted accommodation and I think the bar has been set very high. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be booking again for another couple of visits this year. Staff at reception were very welcoming and my sister had a good chat with the cleaning staff as we left and they too were ver...more
Excellent accommodation. Shower commode was short on length of seat and leg rest required attention tightening nuts
Very restful and enjoyable stay. The lodge is really comfortable and looking out to the sea is really relaxing
We found the Kiel to be very clean and tidy. The location is very quiet and you would not know that these buildings even existed from the road. The facilities are well laid out and very easy to access. With free Wi-Fi and a roku box keeping entertained is easy and with jigsaws etc in the room lots to do if you don’t want to go out. Local cafes and shops are within an easy drive along the coast. I would recommend these houses for a holiday
Very good location nice place and nice people very friendly very clean and relaxed beautiful lodge been back again thank you for everything
We really loved our time at Homelands and Cardy made us feel like we were in a home from home. The accessibility was excellent and my husband felt seen and recognised which was really nice to see. The location was gorgeous, a lovely sea view from the living room area. The gardens were immaculate and full of native flowers and plants. The furniture was comfortable and smart and some real thought had been put in to what was needed. There were even cookbooks! The beds were comfy and and the toilet and wet room was easy to use and spacious. We utilised the community cafe (open mon/tues 11-2pm) and...more
