We had a great and memorable time at Homelands. We enjoyed our stay especially the calm and welcoming atmosphere. The house was met in a very clean state, well arranged and everything we needed were available. Our service user was settled and relaxed throughout the stay. She slept well and was calm. All equipment available for her were excellent. Homelands is indeed a lovely place.
We were lucky (as we have been each time we have visited Homelands) to enjoy beautiful Spring sunshine this time. As always, the immaculate and beautifully equipped lodges cater for all the needs of both the disabled and full bodied members of the party. The coastal towns in the East Neuk are just short drive away and if you're in the mood for something more urban St Andrews has everything you could ask for. A particular favourite of ours was a trip to St Monans where their famous windmill was reached by a short and reasonably accessible path at the water's edge. The Giddy Gannet there is a ...more
We had a lovely stay in Largo. The lodge was refreshingly spacious, warm and very well equipped. Extra wide doors, large wet-room and tracking hoists. It had a well-proportioned utility room, it was ideal as we had 2 young children. Beds and bedrooms were more than adequate and comfortable. There was a very large accessible wetroom and a separate toilet room downstairs. The toilet room would have benefited from a sink that an adult wheelchair user could get their knees under as they could not get close enough to the sink to wash as it was too low. Only one safety issue - if you hav...more
The lodge was spacious, very well equipped with disabled adaptations, and overall extremely comfortable. The beds were good quality, though the single beds upstairs would benefit from being a little longer to properly accommodate an adult. There is a noticeable smell in the laundry room. We understand this can’t be fully resolved, but a small sign explaining this — along with a strong air freshener — would make it more pleasant for guests. The kitchen was well stocked, but with only six pieces of cutlery we found ourselves washing up during meals, so a few extra items would be very welcome....more
We rented three lodges—Drummochy, Keil, and Lundin—for a wonderful double family celebration of Thanksgiving and my granddaughter’s 16th birthday. It was the perfect setup: plenty of time together, with the bonus of being able to spread out across the lodges and enjoy some peaceful downtime whenever we needed a break from the buzz. We loved being able to welcome several local family members and friends to join us, which made the celebration even more special and memorable. A real highlight was taking part in a needle-felting workshop at the Paxton Centre. Everyone had great fun creating ...more
A beautiful lodge in a lovely location. Excellent service from providing information when I booked to making sure our needds were met during rghe stay. The lodge is spacious, bright and comfortable with good views of the sea. Every attention has been given to the disabled facilities. M
Excellent facilities in the lodge for disabled guests. Very comfortable for able bodied as well. Site immaculate, lovely well kept gardens and clean driveways. Location perfect for visiting attractions all round Fife. Website has fully detailed information, booking easy and subsequent information post booking very helpful. We will definitely be arranging return visits.
I spent a wonderful week in the lovely resort of Lundin Links with the immediate family, close friends &extended family. The accommodation provides great entertainment space& we used it to the full. The facilities provided are second to none. My 2 grandsons (8 & 4yrs) loved to play in the mezzanine floor above & would retire to read or. Play on the iPads, but still be part of the gathering. I would not hesitate to recommend Homeland Trust to friends. I’m just home & checking out dates for my next visit.
This was our first visit to Homelands, Cardy, and what a find. It’s exactly what we were looking for in a holiday .Great facilities , spotlessly clean and in beautiful surroundings. My husband is a full time wheelchair user following a severe stroke and the chalet was ideal. It had everything we needed and my husband felt very much at home. It’s spacious enabling him to move about freely m. The large entrance allowed plenty of room to remove and store the power pack for his chair as well as remove and hang up wet coats and wheelchair cape as we had a few very wet days. We have an electric ...more
