Had a very quiet and relaxing weekend break. The onsite goats were amusing to watch. Would recommend The Village Inn for a lovely meal.
We have again enjoyed a stay at River Edge lodges. John and Mary have put a huge amount and thought into ensuring your stay is safe in view of the current pandemic. No small feat! The lodges are so clean and comfortable, We so enjoyed and valued the views from the lodge relaxing with a cuppa (and a glass or two). The co-op is only a couple of minutes walk away. There are lots of local walks and if you want to drive it is so central. Look forward to returning.
Whilst this wasn't a holiday for us, our stay was still very comfortable and met with all our needs, from having all the kitchen equipment that was needed, to a cosy comfortable lounge. The owners couldn't have been more helpful in accommodating all our needs during a stressful time for us. Thank you, it was perfect!
A wonderful welcome to River Edge Lodges from Mary and John. We stayed for an extended house and were very comfortable in the lodge. A couple of minor problems were quickly and professionally sorted. A wonderful location with great views of the river and hills.
Clean, well equipped lodge in well maintained grounds. Close to village high Street with co-op and chemist. Easy to find - signposted from main road - and parking available next to lodges. Hand sanitizer and cleaning products left in lodge
We stayed at River lodges for a week and loved it. The site is enclosed with one entrance only so it’s very safe to let the kids play. The playground is lovely and there are a few things to keep kids entertained, like a play house, and also they have goats which are really friendly- kids love feeding them grass! The lodge was great, everything you need for a week or 2 away. The owners have been fantastic - very responsive and nothing was too difficult. The instructions provided before we arrived were very detailed and easy to follow. Very professional yet friendly service - highly recommended.
We have stayed at River Edge Lodges many times now and have loved it every time. The setting is stunning, recently the autumn colours were spectacular. Mary and John are fantastic hosts and will do everything to make your stay comfortable. There are goats for kids (and adults ) to enjoy and a play area. The river Earn is next to the lodges with many lovely walks. Thoroughly recommend it here.
A lovely , cosy place to chill out in peace and comfort. Beautiful surroundings and Mary could not have been more helpful . We will definately be back
Covid19 ready accommodation. This much needed break was fantastic. The lodges are super and the location is perfect for accessing the wider region. Great for the kids with plenty safe space to run and play, a tree house and slide for our 6 year old and toddler climbing frame and chute for our 2 year old - as well as goats and chickens to feed. Mary is a kind, helpful and friendly host - readily available with advice as and when. Balcony verandas with table and chairs meant we could have socially distant coffee (day) and whisky (evenings!) with my parents - who stayed in a separate lodge. ...more
We have stayed at River Edge Lodges on a number of occasions and they are always immaculate, welcoming and just what we need. With the additional measures put in place during this pandemic we felt safe and had no worries. Cant wait to go back next year.
We love the peaceful location & quality of the lodges and always look forward to staying when attending the nearby equestrian One Day Event at nearby Forgandenny.
River Edge lodges were exactly what we were after, quiet and relaxing. The lodges had every home comfort you will need. We loved sitting on the front deck every morning and night with great view of the grounds and the quiet surroundings. We recommend the village inn for dinner and the cheesecake. The Main Street is a 2 minute walk as is the bus stop into Perth. Lastly a big thanks to Mary and John for a welcoming stay. We will be back. Cheers
