Another great week weather very good. Lovely to see Mary and John and the new goats. The cabins are in a great location for touring every time we find a new location to visit. This time we found Cairnie fruit farm for afternoon tea excellent.
On my recent trip to Scotland, I headed around on an Outlander tour so I knew I had to spend the night at River Edge Lodges that was used in the filming of Season 4 of Outlander! These lodges are beautiful countryside retreats which sit right by the River Earn. It's so quiet with incredible views of the Scottish mountains and you can relax completely. I got to stay in Lodge 14 the one that was used during filming too so it made me trip unforgettable. I can't thank River Edge lodges enough.
Ideal for what we needed it for, going to a wedding, clean and convenient , probably better for family holiday, but no complaints
Mary and John made sure that our stay was a great experience for the whole family. The girls loved spending time outside on the huge grass area and at the goat’s. The stove plus heating use quite a lot of energy, which could sum up, depending on how long you’re staying. We’ll be back :)
This has been our 4th stay at river Edge lodges and not one thing could be faulted. John and Mary are amazing, nothing is ever a bother to them.
Lodge 15 has a wonderful view of the river Earn and Moncrieff hill.We loved having breakfast on the veranda at the back. John and Mary were very welcoming and were very accommodating and the site is beautifully kept and attractive. Would return in a heartbeat. The grandchildren loved the play area , the goats and the chickens.
Just stayed at the River Edge Lodge in Bridge of Earn was a lovely setting so peaceful. The lodge has everything you need for your stay the whole site was well kept with lovely flowers and shrubs. There is a play area for the kids and picnic tables o sit and eat out on. the owners are very helpful and nothing is too much bother for them. The place is a good place to get to other bigger cities and easy access to the motorway. The village its self has some shops and bars and a good restaurant as well as an Asian and fish and chip shop. We loved our stay and would go back to it again.
Booked for 2 nights. We asked for an earlier entry time, and this was granted without any problem. Lodge was clean, tidy and everything was provided. Would highly recommend.
Lost count how many times we've been here now but the kids love it just as much each time. Mary can't do enough for you which gives this family business that lovely personal touch not experienced in many other places. Thanks again :)
Excellent Lodges and Location, recommended for families or Perth-based location holidays. Enjoyed my stay.
Self catering lodges, great base if you want to explore or just chill round lodge. Owners are lovely, goats r friendly. Will definitely be back
We love the peaceful location & quality of the lodges and always look forward to staying when attending the nearby equestrian One Day Event at nearby Forgandenny.
From start to finish an absolute pleasure to deal with Mary . She went above and beyond to accommadate us and we were very satisified with the lodges and location Will definitely be coming back
