Excellent stay. This was my second time staying for an extended period of time, I preferred lodge 11 despite 14 being bigger and better appointed but both were fantastic places to spend time. WiFi not so steady but a minor issue for me personally. Thanks to John & Mary for all their help, I will have no hesitation in recommending River Edge Lodges to anyone.

My husband and I have stayed in many holiday cottages and caravans in Britain in the last 25 years and this holiday cottage ranks in the top 5%. It was a lovely lodge with everything you needed and a beautiful view of the river Earn and the Brig of Earn (as the locals call the bridge). I particularly enjoyed feeding the goats and chickens which roam the site. The site had easy access to the M90 for visiting places futther afield and the A912 into Perth (large Tesco just 3 miles away). The village has a very good little Co-op just outside the site. We both hope to return next year. Many thanks to Mary and John who were the perfect hosts. Morag and Graham.

We originally planned to stay at River Edge in early spring 2022 for a family birthday in the local area, but COVID meant we couldn't make it. We'd found river edge whilst looking for somewhere near Bridge of Earn to stay for a few days so the location was perfect. When we contacted River edge they were really understanding and held onto our booking until 2023, even letting us carry our deepest into the easter break. We had loved the look of the location so decided we would head up (with some other family) during the Easter holidays. Everything was great, the location is beautiful; our lodge was right next the the actual Bridge and on the bank of the Earn - superb. The lodge was big enough for two adults and two teenagers (who shared a twin room) and was clean if a tiny bit rough around the edges. The shower was vicious and took a bit of fine tuning but once we had it sussed out it was fine. The bathroom definitely needed a bit if a refresh but it wasn't a shock, just not perfect. There was a tv with freesat and smart features, the internet was fine most of the time but it was noticeable when there were a few people connected some of the streaming didn't work but we just ended up tethering to someones mobile. We didn't come here to watch TV but teenage boys have certain expectations even if we are in rural Scotland.. The location is great, loads within short distance. We had a great time in Dundee, saw the discovery and V&A, had a walk, ate at a great restaurant and we also visited a distillery and did a tour and managed a quick trip down to Dunfermline to do a bit of crazy golf. The property is exactly as you would expect, it was a Moncrieffe. Two beds upstairs, in a steep A-frame building, open plan downstairs with a decent kitchen with all the bits you'd expect and dining and seating area with a couple of sofas. Very well maintained and clean. im a bit picky to say the least but was happy to walk around in bare feet or just socks. The heating worked well theres also a washing machine which I could imagine would be useful if we had stayed for longer. The park is quiet with some goats and chickens and a spacious grassy area with some kids play things. Bridge of earn has a shop and a couple of places to eat, The pub/restaurant was great and the food was so much better than it sounded on the menu. easy to get to and from as well. pretty much perfect and a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Edinburgh only 30-40 mins away and Perth less than 10 with some great stuff dotted all around. When we met up with relatives for a drink whilst there we agreed we would definitely be back.

Wow, thanks for a great review and so many useful bits of info for others coming to stay. The bathroom has been on the list for a while ... but we need a sizeable chunk of time with which to carry our the work. The problem (a good problem) is that we have so many bookings in this lodge. As soon as we have a space we'll be doing that bathroom!

I think it's very expensive for what it is, but the cleanliness and lovely location saved it. The bathroom is its major let down (tiny and dated).

The Cabin was great, with plenty of space for a family of 4 and a sofa bed downstairs for 2 more if needed. Views over the river Earn and with trees around the back and side make it a lovely place to sit and relax on the veranda. The cabin has everything you need including washing machine, dryer, dishwasher microwave, cooker etc. All cutlery, crockery, bedding, ironing and cleaning equipment is also provided and in good working order.
Bridge of Earn has enough shops, pubs/restaurants for your needs and its only 10 mins from all the major shops in Perth. Great location for exploring the area and further afield, only being about an hour from Edinburgh and Glasgow, and approx 45 mins to St Andrews and the Fife coast.

Lovely lodge, cozy and warm, had everything we needed, nice and clean, quiet and peaceful, had family join us one night, Mary left extra bedding/towels and a travel cot for us to use, answered emails really fast, it's a great base to explore the area, the goats and chickens were a big hit with the kids, we would definitely book here again.

If you want to get away from it all then this is the friendliest place I have ever stayed. location,local pubs and food. everything you will need for your stay is catered for in lodge excellent.in the country but close to all that is needed.

Stayed here for four nights with my wife and two children (7 + 13) and had a great time. Nice and quiet, couple minutes walk to co-op and pubs, all the facilities you could need in the lodge. Ever since I was young I've wanted to stay in an A frame lodge, now ticked off the list but we'll be back. Owners just a phone call away, plenty places deliver on just eat and local suggestions.

This was our second year at River Edge Lodges, this time returning for 10 nights in a Moncrieffe lodge (increased from four in a standard lodge last year). The lodges are very well appointed and with the exception of the bathroom, the Moncrieffe lodge is far more spacious in every respect. We find it great for the children to make new friends of similar ages and location-wise it is a great base for day excursions or local walks in and around Bridge of Earn. Mary and John are very attentive also. Looking forward to our next stay!

Lodges are amazing, very well maintained and have everything that you need for a great holiday. Under current COVID restrictions it was evident that the lodges had been fully cleaned and sanitised, the place was spotless. Very comfortable and cosy. The park is very peaceful and well looked after with plenty of space.
You are a 5 min walk away from the local village where you find a well appointed co-op. You are an hour drive from many attractions.
We had an excellent stay and we will be back.

Lodges are in a nice peaceful well-kept setting, there is only one way in/out so children are safe and there is a large area for them to play. Although the river is near you can’t get to it without leaving the site. There are goats in a pen and they love to be fed. The lodge itself (no 14 for us) was very clean, everything worked, had nice ambience and we loved it.

On my recent trip to Scotland, I headed around on an Outlander tour so I knew I had to spend the night at River Edge Lodges that was used in the filming of Season 4 of Outlander! These lodges are beautiful countryside retreats which sit right by the River Earn. It's so quiet with incredible views of the Scottish mountains and you can relax completely. I got to stay in Lodge 14 the one that was used during filming too so it made me trip unforgettable. I can't thank River Edge lodges enough.
