What a fantastic property that gave us everything we needed. From booking to staying communication was excellent and by far the best property we have stayed in the Lake District. We were a group of 10 and it met every need we had, close to some lovely walks and to visit all the Lakes. Also fantastically clean and a lovely welcome pack was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend
Our 2nd stay at Home Farm, and our 4th at Hutton John, we love the comfort and location for walking our dogs. Kate’s a great host. We look forward to returning again next year.
Beautiful countryside location, tucked away yet ideal for exploring the Lakes. The Bothy was warm & comfortable with a large attractive garden. Highlight was walking across farmland with stunning views, for a Sunday roast at 18th century inn. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
The cabin had everything we needed. The hot tub was fantastic and had it on all the time. Great walks nearby and can recommend the Horse and Farrier in Dacre also for an evening, a 30minute walk across the fields. So quiet we never heard a sound and saw a few squirrels around. Alan and Kate helped with fire logs and other enquiries in lightning speed. Can recommend for a romantic getaway.
We stayed in Herdwick Cabin which had a beautiful view from the decking and hot tub. The cabins are situated in a great area for exploring Keswick and surrounding areas . Prior to arrival there was lots of contact from Kate with regular updates and guidance. There was a welcome pack on arrival and everything you need for a self catering stay is provided in the cabin.
The cabin was clean and cosy and we would definitely return for another stay. There is a well stocked farm shop and cafe 5 minutes drive away and the pub that is recommended in Dacre is well worth a visit!
We stayed in the Yew Tree cabin, it was very pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. The kitchen was well equipped but could have done with a 2 person cafetière. Lovely soft towels and robes were provided along with a very nice bathroom. The bed is massive, so no problem spreading out. The lounge area was nice and comfortable too. The hot tub was very pleasant once heated, it takes about 2 hours to get to temperature, but be careful not to put to much wood in as this keeps heating when you are sat in the tub and can become very hot. One possible addition we could have done with was a clothes airer t...more
We stayed at Lacet Cottage for nine days. It was wonderful. What a beautiful and peaceful setting. The walks are wonderful, and the cottage itself is very comfortable. We had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (and so did our dog).
Brow wood tick our box for the winter escape we wanted.
Great location for access to the northern Lake District.
Hot tub was fantastic after a long walk but as advised it took a lot of wood and time to warm up due to the chilly weather but once it was warm we had a lovely relax and bonus of listening to the owls near by.
We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next visit.
We had a fantastic stay at Bluebell Cabins! The cabin itself was absolutely spotless, decorated perfectly and was very cosy. The views from the cabin and hot tub were amazing - would definitely recommend!
