Lovely cottage in superb location. We appreciated the quality of bedding, furniture etc. The little patio was lovely too. Our only criticism would be the pack of ‘special offer’ £1. Jaffa cakes that were left with the milk. A nice loaf of bread or even some quality shortbread would have been more appropriate - this would usually be found in a cottage of this standard. However we would book this cottage again!
House was beautifully furnished and in a great location. Lovely views over the estuary from the garden. Would definitely return.
Cosy clean ideally situated Dog friendly. All the comforts of home. Would highly recommend for all to stay .
We had a lovely stay. The flat is small but had everything needed. The views out of the bedroom window across to the river are beautiful. It was nice and warm, heating worked well in mid winter. The wifi was unworkable - couldn't use it for Skyping friends etc and mobile reception was ok but not enough for good internet. That was frustrating as otherwise everything was excellent, the perfect place to stay. There is a lovely walk down to the river edge 5-10 mins away. It's an ideal setting, one of the nicest in the area.
We loved Ritson Farm. A great space for 3 generations to stay. The farm has a real homely feel often lacking in holiday rentals. We all had lots of space to relax. Kids loved the animals you can see and hear from the house. It had all the things we needed from a well stocked kitchen to logs in the basket. Our problem with working the range was sorted asap. It is also a great location for visiting lots of places Dartmouth, Totnes, Salcombe. All in all a lovely place and we throughly enjoyed our stay. Many thanks
3 Glendale is such a lovely cottage - I shouldn’t be telling everyone about it - want to keep it for ourselves! It’s such a cosy, beautifully decorated, amazingly clean home from home. Very well equipped kitchen and welcome pack of bread, milk, etc. We enjoyed the books, dvds and games too. Only a short stroll down to the quay to do crabbing and visit the FBI pub and Anchorstone Cafe. River views from main bedroom and sitting room and lovely patio table and chairs to enjoy a drink in the evening sun. We had a fantastic, relaxing week at 3 Glendale and will definitely be returning to stay again...more
We can not fault our stay at The Old Bakery in any way. We were a family party of 6 celebrating a 50th birthday and The Old Bakery was perfect for us in every way. It was very clean, comfortable (the beds were superb) and in a great location right in the centre of town. We will definitely be back!
Spindlewood is very convenient, as it is all on one floor, although there is a steep flight of steps to enter the house. There is ample parking space for 3 or 4 cars. Inside there is a large well equipped kitchen, leading on to the dining room and through lounge. There is a view over the Dart and a wrap around balcony for outdoor living. The property is well decorated, and all the furnishings are new. We have stayed there several times and it is like home from home
Many thanks for a wonderful stay, clean, perfect location equip with everything we needed for a relaxed stay. The cake and milk is a wonderful touch. We will be back again
My 5 year old son and I have stayed in several locations in this part of Devon - Dittisham, Brixham etc, we love the area. But I really liked how peaceful and friendly Cornworthy was, more laid back, and I would definitely go back. We started to find and visit new places form here and it was nice to be able to do easy walks right from the house, down to the river. We always drive to Blackpool sands beach, but Pennywell Farm was a new one and my son loved it. There's a great kids holiday club at Dartington (humpty dumpty nursery) my son love it (camp fires and marshmellows go down a treat) whi...more
We had a lovely stay in Kingswear and Below Decks. The apartment was comfortable and spacious, and fitted in two couples easily. We enjoyed the additional small TV room which provided two of our group an opportunity to play their guitars. The flat has a great view of Dartmouth and the river, as well as the steam engine in the distance when it passes. We loved the hills opposite and the sound of birds (including an owl!). Although some of the furnishing was a bit tacky (e.g. lampshades), overall it was very comfortable. The main bedroom is very large, although there is a hum from a dehumid...more
A very cosy Christmas at THE NOOK .Very efficient wood burning stove plenty of wood supplied. Attractive interior, Well appointed kitchen Comfortable bed and pretty bedroom. A grab handle would be a useful addition to enable access to the bath. Heating was off when we arrived but a quick phone call and a helpful neighbour arrived and everything was fine and lovely and warm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this pretty cottage.
Lovely cottage, great location. Everyone had a fantastic time. Recommend the pub and anchorstone cafe.
We stayed for 4 nights over the Dartmouth music Festival. The house was ideally situated, being close to the action yet very quiet at night. It's extremely well equipped and there was nothing we needed that wasn't supplied ( except perhaps sharper knives!). When we all managed to lock ourselves out they were really speedy turning up with the spare key. A great place to stay, would highly recommend it.
This is the second time we have stayed in Orchard Cottage and once again were very pleased with the cottage and the area of Dittisham. We have a dog, Rosie, and the area is very dog friendly with them being allowed into most of the local pubs/restaurants. Highly recommended.
We stayed at Hill Top View for a long period and where very happy there. This is a very good location for anyone wishing to visit the South Hams. We were well looked after by both the owner and the Dart Valley agency.
The accommodation was lovely save for the almost complete lack of outdoor space. As we took 2 dogs, a secure garden would have made it perfect but there was nowhere we could let them out. This meant 3 to 4 walks every day all of which required going up and down steep hills and late night walks in the dark, so this would not be an ideal spot for the less energetic dog owners. Otherwise the property was lovely, clean, spacious and well appointed.
Lily Cottage is a lovely cottage in a very convenient location near the town centre .Easy access to shops restaurants etc of which Dartmouth has many. The cottage is very nicely presented by the owners with effort put in to give a relaxing characterful feel. The dining room is especially nice as is the master bedroom and the provision of a parking permit useful. BUT.... one thing that let the cottage down was the cleanliness. The skylights, the suspended lights, the window above the back door and above the log burner in the Dining Room were thick with cobwebs which we had to climb on chairs t...more
Always lovely to speak with Christine to book our little March visit. So thoughtful of her to let us know last year that it would have been very tough if we had travelled down last March due to show so we postponed until May. Love the home from home feeling about the cottage. Our little dog also loves it and sniffs around the kitchen saying - great to be back. Thank you Ollie. No doubt we will be back next year all things being equal. Have a great year.
Everything at the cottage was as we had expected from the description and other reviews. We appreciated the welcoming flowers and the pint of milk in the fridge when we arrived. The location was excellent, with the big plus of an allocated parking space, and such a beautiful village to explore and enjoy. Both of the village pubs had a great atmosphere and we enjoyed a hearty meal at the Ferry Boat Inn. Will definitely stay at a Dart Valley Cottage again.
This was our fifth visit to the Old Brewhouse so it’s obvious that we think it’s great!!! Comfortable and welcoming property in an idyllic location next to the pub, opposite the restaurant and practically on the Dart Estuary. There really are few more beautiful places to be......
Practically perfect in every way.!! I holiday with my 8 year old Border Terrier, Mr Beaker (whom due to a long term illness is in a doggy buggy. The property big enough to accommodate it.) so the property was perfect for us two.... On arrival I felt the property to be very cold, especially the bedroom, the bed and ward rope verged on feeling damp. (If I have one complaint it would be the curtains in the lounge were stained at the bottom and needed a clean and under both sofa's could have been vacuumed to a higher standard, but I am very critical on cleanliness) However, it was immediately ...more
Very relaxing stay. Great house, beautiful large garden and a magnificent view. Parents and children all loved everything about this stay.
A bit tired and cramped - lovely location - good value - enjoyed. Always nice to be by the Dart - makes the stay much more pleasurable,
A return visit following a stay in 2010 and 2011. We love the views. Enjoyed some good local walks and boat trip on the dart. Comfortable place to stay.
We had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage is easy to find and in a great location for Dartmouth and surrounding areas. Having use of the golf club facilities is a real bonus, particularly the gym, swimming pool and sauna / spa. You need to take your own towels for the pool, they are not provided, but can be hired for a £1 per towel. Children are allowed in the pool between 9-10.30am and 4-6pm. The food in the golf club was excellent, the Sunday carvery is good value for money. The cottage itself is very well kitted out, everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is ample car parki...more
Enjoyed our stay. The house is ideal for a large number of people, in our case grandparents, their children & grandchildren. Did have an issue with the gardener from next door letting herself into the house unannounced but otherwise very happy with everything.
Lovely cottage in good location but be aware it is on a very steep hill and parking is difficult. DO NOT UPSET A VERY ANGRY LADY BY SHARING HER PARKING BAY, even if her one car still left space for another two.
This is the second time we have stayed at this lovely cottage in the lovely village of Dittisham. It is so peaceful and relaxing with fantastic views of the Dart. We stayed with our two children and our dog. There are some really lovely walks to enjoy in the area. We will be returning again.
Our first stay at 16 Clarence Hill. Such a gem! Looks small from the outside as so narrow but huge instead. Lots of steps (51 to the very top!) but worth it for the beautiful views. We simply sat and watched the world go by, the boats coming and going, perfect. Greeted with flowers and champagne and some basic food staples was great. The bedrooms were spacious, high end bedding, very comfortable. House comes with a parking space which is rare in Dartmouth so an added bonus. The only downside for us was that the kitchen and lounge wasn’t very clean. Had to wash anything used in the kitchen firs...more
Dittisham is a beautiful village lovely and quiet just the place to recharge your batteries Primrose cottage is a clean warm and comfortable cottage and ideal place to visit Dartmouth and beautiful surrounding area
Sabine house is on the Dart estuary in prime location at Bayards Cove. It is an excellent location for exploring Dartmouth an the ferry across to Kingswear. The house itself is well decorated with fantastic views over the estuary. The only niggle we had was the inventory needs to be checked as in a house for eight people there were only 6 forks, 4 wine glasses and knives that would struggle to cut butter although there were a couple of large sharp knives. The smoke alarm chirped all week and needed a new battery which should be regularly checked by the cleaner/maintenance. Overall the proper...more
Property extremely well placed for surrounding area. The views over the River Dart really are just as good as the photos portray. Everything we needed in the cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We have been visiting Dittisham for many years and stayed in different properties. Herons Reach has fantastic views across the river and plenty of outside space. The property was well equipped with lots of storage space. The aspect was super with the lounge and kitchen upstairs to make the most of the views. This property is one of the very few in the village with parking for two cars so that was a big advantage. The property needs a little updating and tlc as it does look a little knocked about, plus we had to spend time cleaning it on arrival. Having said that we will more than likely boo...more
We regularly visit Lee Court. The improvements since last year have been appreciated. New cups, saucers plates in the kitchen and the new sofas. It is a fantastic location for the town and ferries and ideal for my elderly mother as the walk along the river is flat.
We enjoyed our stay at 15, Churchfields with it's splendid views. Whilst we felt the property offered comfortable accommodation and was well equipped with utensils etc, some parts of it were a little sad and outdated. It would also benefit from a small freezer or at least a freezer compartment in a fridge.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay at Duck Cottage. The location was excellent, with lovely views of the river and hills. It was nice and quiet, with two good pubs within walking distance. We do however have the following comments:- 1. The description states that the 'family bathroom' has a shower over the bath - this is just a hand held shower head, not an actual shower. 2. The parking space is really only suitable for a medium sized car. The drive is narrow and there is limited space to turn around. 3. The stairs in the cottage are steep, something to bear in mind if, like us, you tak...more
Cottage was ok; kitchen was small and dark and unappealing to cook in so didn't bother and ate out instead, even with the fire going the lounge was cold, parking was much further away than expected - about 500 yards away up a steep hill, and cost £5 per day... not the end of the world but added a lot of effort each day getting the family out. But the location is very pretty and the pub was friendly. We had great weather for February so all had a good time. But sadly we won't miss the cottage.
