We enjoyed another lovely family holiday in Port Charlotte, the cottage is well equipped and situated, Highly recommended.
Port Charlotte is a lovely quiet village good food in the P.C. Hotel nearby 4 mins walk from property. Lovely comfortable beds, all amenities easy to use, all needs well provided for. We visited in November and had two beautiful sunny days and two wet and very windy days and although Saligo is a large property it was quickly made warm and cosy with a very efficient boiler on our return in the evenings. We would all recommend a stay here and will definitely be back, there is lots to see and do apart from the Distilleries we also had a trip across to Jura with lunch in the Jura Hotel -seafo...more
Killinallan Cottage is a wonderful holiday home, it is scrupulously clean, warm and comfortable with all the amenities that you need. Port Charlotte is a convenient location, close to Bruichladdich, and offers great eating with excellent service at the Port Charlotte Hotel. A visit to the Bruichladdich distillery is always a joy, interesting tour, lovely people and delicious whisky.
Having previously stayed in Port Charlotte Holidays’ Saligo apartment, we thought we’d try Ardnave this year. Given the uncertainty of Scottish travel rules and COVID logistics, Margaret was extremely understanding and flexible with our booking. As with Saligo, Ardnave is spacious and well-equipped for our family of six - four shower/ bathrooms very welcome! Port Charlotte itself is a good base for a holiday on Islay, having a small shop, a few different places to eat out and a safe beach. We would definitely recommend Port Charlotte Holidays.
Great location from which to explore Islay. Very well equipped throughout. Lovely space for a couple.
