Have stayed with Port Charlotte holidays on a number of occasions and always enjoyed it. Houses are comfortable and well equipped and Port Charlotte is a great location. We'll be back.
We had a fantastic holiday on Islay. We stayed in Saligo and our accommodation was perfect for our family. The apartment was huge so we all felt that we had our own space and the facilities were great, they had thought of everything you could possibly need on holiday. Both Margaret and Alison were very kind and helpful and Alison was very knowledgeable about the area and the history of the house. Alison also kindly helped us with suggestions of things to do and where and how to get there which was extremely important and much appreciated. Lovely little apartment with everything you need. Good place to visit Islay. We would book it again.
While the accommodation is ideally situated to explore the west side of the island and well equipped, we did not find that it was “Beautifully furnished” nor “Finished to a high standard”. The en-suite bedrooms were not “luxurious” with the pine furniture and standard fittings in the bathrooms, which are in need of some attention. The shower cubicles were very small and a the water pressure non existant. Although for the most part the accommodation was clean there were numerous spider-webs.
