We loved our stay at Iona, so peaceful, quiet, but in the centre of Stirling. We walked up around the castle (which is a 5 min stroll) and facing the house. From the street you get a fabulous view of Wallace monument and the beautiful hills. The quality of the furniture (especially the beds and linen) were exceptional. We have already booked again!!! Iona had everything in our list of requirements and much more!!! The only thing that concerned us was the metered parking. The housekeeper told us about the street opposite, which has no parking meters, so we didn't pay the £3.20 a day. ...more
Harviestoun House is well equipped and sits in a very convenient spot with a beautiful backdrop. We were very comfortable during our stay and had excellent communication with the letting agents and landlord. Thank you for being so accommodating.
The host Christine was wonderful. She was there to greet us when we arrived and show us round the property. The property itself could not have been any nicer or cleaner and I will definitely stay again if I return to Stirling. It is an excellent location for accessing shops and the train station in Stirling which are both just a short walk away.
Nicely decorated apartment close to Stirling centre with off street parking. Excellent modern en suite bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Small but functional kitchen. Nice lounge.
Great cottage in terrific location for all the local attractions. Communications from the management team were spot on and very helpful.
Besides groceries (if you dine in), nothing is required. This is the perfect rental and is ideal for a base location to explore Scotland. Observe the hares playing on the lawn and the deer visiting regularly. The hostess, Eleanor, is friendly, gracious, and most concerned about her guest's comfort and enjoyment.
The flat is situated on the first and second floors of a lovely sandstone building. The approach, up a few steps at the side of the building is not very aesthetically inspiring or welcoming. Lots of stairs, so not convenient if you have mobility problems and awkward with significant luggage. Well equipped kitchen, sitting room with bay window, fireplace with electric insert, two bedrooms with large beds. Two bathrooms. A very peaceful setting, absolutely quiet, possibly a bit more so because of the state of lockdown. The flat is set in a beautiful, historic, prime residential area of Stirl...more
Flat was situated on a quiet street, a short walk from the main road. A pleasant stay but beds could have been more comfortable.
Good quiet location. Easy access for local amenities. Excellent parking for 2 cars. Property spacious but in need of modernising.
We stayed here as a group of 7 for a week, following the cancellation of our Amalfi Coast trip. The house is lovely. It has nice wooden beams, a large TV, a very well furnished and spacious farmhouse kitchen, the beds are so comfy, the Master Bedroom is immense, and both Kirsteen (Stirling Self Catering) and Carole (Property Manager) were exceptionally helpful before, during and after the stay. The house has 4 double beds and one zip/link beds. It has a downstairs WC, the Master Bedroom has an en-suite and a dressing room. There are two other bathrooms upstairs. The wooden floor is very crea...more
