Iona is a newly renovated, bright and modern-looking house that offers exceptional value for a break to Central Scotland. Located in the shadow of Stirling Castle, it’s just a short walk to Stirling City centre where you will find excellent transport links should you wish to explore further afield.

Sleeping four people in two bedrooms one of which is en-suite, this spacious house is ideal for couples, families or 4 single people with each bedroom having the option of either one super king or two luxurious single beds.

Situated over two floors, the accommodation comprises of a welcoming hallway open plan lounge/dining room with seating and dining facilities for 4 people.
Upstairs comprises of 2 large bedrooms one of which is en-suite and a further toilet/shower room.


The fully equipped, modern kitchen boasts a fridge freezer, electric hob, electric oven, microwave, Air Fryer, dishwasher, washing machine and is fully stocked with crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and ovenware to make your self-catering holiday as relaxing as possible. A tumble drier is also in place in the house.

A nice place, well located to see Stirling and in excellent condition. The owner was helpful and quick to respond when we had a query. Would recommed for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Carole was an exceptional host. The home was comfortable, especially the beds and recliner couches. We spent 3 weeks here and Carole was kind enough to supply us new sheets and towels every week. A few issues arose with the refrigerator and cleanliness of the kitchen/bathroom, but overall we felt the home was Excellent.

Many thanks for reviewing your stay at Iona. I am pleased that you found it to be comfortable and a good base for your 3-week stay in Stirling. I have discussed with the owner, Carole, the issues you raised regarding the bathroom and kitchen cleanliness and it appears that the problems were, in fact, maintenance rather than cleaning concerns. There was a small amount of black mould underneath the sealant in the shower and, due to constant back-to-back bookings, it was impossible to get the handyman in to take out the old sealant and replace it with new until after your stay. This has now been rectified as has the water collection plug in the fridge which had become blocked during your 3-week stay. Kind regards, Kirsteen

Iona is a beautiful accommodation with a very appealing decor. The equipment includes everything you need for a pleasant stay, also the kitchen is very well equipped. The second bathroom is also very practical. A parking lot is available right in front of the house. The owner is very friendly, after we arrived only after midnight, she put food in the fridge for us so we could have breakfast without leaving the house. That's really nice! The accommodation is very central, you can walk to everything in Stirling (train station, shops, restaurants, pubs, castle).

First of all I would like to thank Carole for being a great host. She is very friendly and helpful. We had never considered Stirling before and chose Iona because of it's central location. We stayed there at the New Year and had friends and family over to visit. They enjoyed exploring Stirling and the castle. The house is warm and cosy, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable which is important for me as I sometimes have trouble sleeping. No problems here at all. Had a lovely Hogmanay at the Settle Inn across the road chatting to the friendly locals and watched the fireworks at the Wallace Monument at midnight. All in all a great holiday home and at a very good price. I would have no hesitation in booking Iona again and would highly recommend Iona if you are looking for a self-catering holiday in Stirling.

We stayed in Stirling for a month while looking for somewhere to live in Scotland. Iona is the perfect base: in walking distance of the town centre and the castle. All the instructions and welcome pack were really clear and helpful and told us everything we needed to know. Carole is lovely and went the extra mile to ensure that we were made welcome. The house is comfortable and well equipped. Bed is supremely comfortable.
Neighbours were very friendly and it is great having a shop across the road. We were able to order our Guardian newspaper from there! We were also able to sit out on the bench in the front garden on sunny days.
The area and the house feel very safe.
We really enjoyed our stay at Iona and we were sorry to leave

We loved our stay at Iona, so peaceful, quiet, but in the centre of Stirling. We walked up around the castle (which is a 5 min stroll) and facing the house. From the street you get a fabulous view of Wallace monument and the beautiful hills. The quality of the furniture (especially the beds and linen) were exceptional. We have already booked again!!!

Iona had everything in our list of requirements and much more!!! The only thing that concerned us was the metered parking. The housekeeper told us about the street opposite, which has no parking meters, so we didn't pay the £3.20 a day. She was also very helpful with local information and best restaurants etc. The location of Iona house is excellent- there's so much to do nearby and travelling to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth ect was easily managed as the train and bus station are all within easy walking distance. We couldn't have found a better location.....
