Beautiful, perfect location just wish we could have got in earlier than 5pm; didn't want to leave, staff on site brilliant and so helpful, we will be coming again
We had a wonderful time away, the yurts were well equipped and we had everything we needed. Charlie and his team were super helpful.
The cottage owners were very helpfull We had 4 nights of complete luxury Very well furnished bathroom was brilliant farm paths with the dogs were well marked out We will be back
A beautifully maintained and delightfully decorated farmhouse. Everything in working order and all bedrooms equal in size and comfort. A big group of siblings and partners we enjoyed a wonderful holiday. Excellent location and welcome from the estate housekeeper. The welcome pack was generous and useful.
What a wonderful place to spend time with friends and family. Amazing facilities and views. Lots of space for everyone to relax.
We had a lovely week in this ancient, but brilliantly renovated cottage. Clean, cosy, but spacious, with a lovely log burner. Nothing about it was poky, and although there was only one room downstairs it was modern, and open plan, and we felt that we had masses of space - a family of four, plus dogs ! Perfect, sheltered garden, wonderful views, and within 5 mins of Leominster, and Bromyard - not much further to Hereford and Ludlow, although we headed to the hills of Kington, and Offas Dyke. Good beds, linen, and a comprehensive hamper with lots of local bits and bobs. Pub doing takaway food ju...more
Fruitpip was a very comfortable cottage providing us with easy access to Bakewell, Chatsworth and the wonderful Lathkill Dale. It was the perfect location to base all the walks from Haddon Farm. Despite initial teething trouble in using the induction oven ( quick learning ), the kitchen was adequately equipped for the two of us. After a long walk each day, the power shower in the bathroom was just perfect. And of course there was the heated pool, again a pleasant addition to relax the tired muscles after a long walk. We loved our stay at Fruitpip and will recommend it to anybody looking for ...more
We just love this place, every last detail has been thought about.. though there are five lodges you are not aware of the four around you as they are all screened for privacy. Great Jon staycation
The Dower House is in an excellent location for visiting the Peak District and Chatsworth. the house itself is clean, tidy and comfortable, We loved the log fire and the farm across the road where you are able to buy eggs, milk and wood. Make sure you visit the Packhorse Inn, Lower Longstone, during your stay. Superb communication and immediate assistance when we requested assistance with a very small matter.
We had a lovely long weekend staying Lower Curscombe Barn, we booked both parts of the barn which gave us lots of space for an extended family holiday. Very well equipped kitchen, everything you need for a relaxing peaceful escape. We particularly benefited from walking our dogs in the fields around the barn thanks to the owner letting us know where we could go. The welcome hamper was very generous with plenty of milk and wine in the fridge and more eggs than we could eat. Would not hesitate to recommend! Many thanks
We needed a few days away for a mini honeymoon. We came across this place and it was perfect. We loved the welcome hamper of coffee, tea, jam, cereal etc... Was so peaceful and would come back anytime!
The house is beautifully appointed, in a peaceful location with a great pub 2 minutes walk away. The rooms are all well furnished and the beds are very comfortable. We couldn’t have been happier.
Amazing girls break Return visit at this beautiful lakeside retreat. Dinners on the deck, lovely barbecue. Hot tub heaven looking out over the tranquil water. Hired the Canoe and Kayak on offer too, and explored the other side of the lake. Went for long walk around lakes and got a sneak peak at George Clooney directing his new movie on nearby lake! (very special). Lovely afternoon tea at Jennie's on walk too (scones and coffee cake highly recommended). Topped off with some sort of impromtu and hilarious summer Solstice celebration over the lake (it was and usually is an amazing sunset). You s...more
The Bothy is a well equipped, modern cottage for 2 in a tranquil setting south of Bath. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay. Being easily accessible & close to Bath Park & Ride, the Bothy was ideally located for sight seeing Bath itself & areas beyond.
We had a fantastic family Christmas , lovely house with amazing views. A lovely area of the country with plenty of places to visit. Kevin was brilliant with us, really kind and helpful nothing was too much trouble for him
We absolutely adore staying at this beautiful property, the Lodge is stunning, it is beautifully furnished and we always feel instantly at home. Booking communications are just excellent, I can highly recommend staying and will most definitely be booking again.
This house was perfect for a family get together after so long. Location, facilities all amazing. Cant recommend highly enough.
Loved the whole farm and surrounding area. Nice house with modern fittings and furnishings and all kept clean and tidy
A great well-equipped lodge in an idyllic setting. It’s useful to have a good bar/ restaurant on the same site.
What a wonderful find! The Oaks was everything we could hope for and more, for a relaxing long weekend with friends. I was congratulated on numerous occasions on having found the property and how marvellous it was! Amazing setting with the extensive views, the peace and quiet only disturbed by the occasional horse rider or mountain biker coming off the Mynd. The house was extremely well equipped as we catered for ourselves, we even had a go at using the aga! Lovely bedrooms, comfy and beautifully furnished as was the rest of the house. It certainly didn’t feel like a holiday rental more like s...more
Myself and friends stayed here for a birthday weekend and I could not fault it. The house is beautiful and spacious and each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is always a plus, along with a fourth toilet on the ground floor. The lounge and dinning area are perfect for dinners and lounging around and everything was provided for in the kitchen, even some complimentary eggs, bread and butter to get us started. The views over the lake were stunning and it felt nice and secluded. There was plenty of room in the hot tub and the electric bbq would be perfect in the summer. The local area is als...more
great place to stay a very beautiful house beaches not far away,in the village every think you may need.
We had a great time in Smiddy Cottage. A cosy, fully equiped cottage in the great nature of Exmoor. Warm and friendly welcome from the owners and great recommendations on were to go. We absolutely loved it!
Well appointed property that was clean & tidy with plenty of small features, such as utensils, cutlery, soap and towels. Nice & quiet location yet convenient for travelling to many tourist sights and the local town and shops. If there was anything to mention that required attention, it would be that a couple of items of equipment and decor required fixing, such as the loose toilet button flush downstairs & one of the electrical sockets being unserviceable in the kitchen. Otherwise, we would be happy to visit again & would recommend it to others.
Four siblings getting together without kids or other halves - bliss! Just time to catch up; to swim in the gorgeously warm pool, play board games in the wonderfully snug living area; walk Lathkill Dale (both ways!); visit Bakewell and stock up on puddings; and sleep like kings and queens in the wonderfully comfy beds. We ate out one night at the Packhorse Inn in Little Longstone, lovely place, staff and food - highly recommend.
We had a lovely time and Pete and Irene were very helpful and welcoming. Perfect place for lots of walks and good pub food
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at St. Corantyn Cottage, Spring Water Barns, on the Bonython Estate. It provided us with a charming, comfortable & civilised base from which to explore S. Cornwall.
The house is superb and it feels so spotless and clean on arrival. Its in a lovely quiet location. Its so very welcoming and certainly lives up to its write up. Scones and bubbly on arrival The living room is so spacious and the kitchen area is great for cooking and eating. It has all the amenities that you would expect from this type of rental. Good size fridge which I find so disappointing in so many homes. The bedrooms are all of a very good size and bathrooms are so clean and modern. The master suite is stunning. Beds are very comfy and towels so fluffy. I would thoroughly recomme...more
Perfect house for a hen party. Beds were insanely comfortable and the views were incredible! It is quite a tired house, some cracked windows and outside doors hard to open/Close and the floors were incredibly sticky when we go there, but as we were there for a hen it really didn't bother us!! I would take my family there, but for us it was perfect! And the hot tub was incredible
We greatly enjoyed our stay. Lovely cottages next to owners house. Very well furnished with all you could need. Nice touch with a very nice cream tea on arrival plus fresh flowers on the kitchen table. Beautiful scenery and amazing walks for families and dog owners. Would stay again.
Staycation holidays were really helpful advising us about the accommodation, answering numerous questions. The house served as an excellent base for the Roseland peninsula with family friendly beaches nearby and other things to do in the area such as visiting St Mawes (good crabbing) and the castle, Trelissick and Heligan. The house was large enough to accommodate us comfortably. Worth double checking the route directions with a map,What three words was useful. Waitrose and Tesco available in Truro for big shops, we know Tesco can deliver. We had a super family holiday, thank you.
We had a lovely stay at Twitchers lodge, the location is amazing. However the accommodation is a little tired, the furniture has changed since the photos were taken and the inside needs a bit of TLC particularly the downstairs shower which needs a good bleach. There were only 3 champagne flutes, not ideal when a group of 4 is staying for a 60th celebration! Generally the crockery is a bit tired too with a few cracks and chips and some items of cutlery a bit sparse. One of the chairs on the terrace is also broken. These small things didn’t impact our stay particularly, but when marketing th...more
Stayed for a week the location is fabulous and the view from the house is beautiful with the open plan living we will definitely be returning
Lamp cottage is a very spacious, nicely furnished and very well equipped house In a great location. It suited my party of 7 adults very well. BUT: There was a pervading smell of drains particularly in the master shower en-suite bedroom and also in the utility and kitchen (to a lesser extent) The cleaner put some drain cleaner in the shower which helped for only 24 hours. I think the problem requires the intervention of a plumber. Sealants around shower trays were mouldy and needed changing Loose toilet seats everywhere could have caused elderly users an accident. Very stained rug in the co...more
We had a great week at Vicarage House. Plenty of outside space, excellently kitted out inside. All bedrooms extremely comfortable. It really felt homely, not like a rental property. Real thought had been put into making the stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Bucket loads of wood for the fireplaces (it was a lovely sunny week, so not much need on our stay), all the bikes well serviced and working, and the fresh bread brought to us on a few days was a lovely touch. The tennis court could benefit from some investment, but we used it and all the other outside facilities often. The only ...more
Very comfortable stay in lovely convented barn, pictures probably don't do it justice. Some "rickety" furniture and perhaps could do with more outside furniture to enjoy the lovely garden for when it does stop raining
All you need for a lovely break away in the countryside. Not far away from a little town but far enough away to be in the countryside.
Larger property than expected, plenty of space well equipped. Only negative, the outside furniture would benefit from an upgrade.
We had a very enjoyable break at Burrows, Easter decorations and delicious treats to eat and drink made us feel very welcome. The accommodation is very comfortable, beautifully furnished to a very high standard and well supplied with all that is needed for a stay away from home. The location is excellent, countryside walks are accessible without the need to drive anywhere. The hot-tub is a lovely facility to enjoy, though it would be most helpful if the (agreeably necessary) inspection could be carried out on a schedule of which the client is aware, rather than by random unannounced visits to...more
We enjoyed our stay but the lodge does need some TLC and a good clean. Door handles half hanging off in the bathroom and dusty windowsills and bedside tables. It would also benefit from a welcome booklet with information about the local area and instructions for the washing machine/dishwasher etc. Fabulous location-we loved South Cerney but we would not stay at Shelduck Lodge again unfortunately.
We enjoyed our stay at Swan Lake Lodge. There was a couple of small items missing from the kitchen that would have been useful : slotted spoon/potato peeler and corkscrew. The tumble dryer element of the washing machine doesn’t work which wasn’t ideal as we had a number of rainy days. The view is lovely and the apartment is spacious . The owner was easily and quickly contacted when we didn’t have the WiFi code. All in all it was a good choice and we very much enjoyed our week.
