Thank you Kevin for a wonderful stay. As ever, you are so accommodating and friendly. We loved the cosiness, the wonderful views across the lake in autumn/winter, and the tranquillity. We even spotted a kingfisher! We loved Cirencester, and a circular South Cerney walk in the sun. This is our favourite hideaway by far.

Yet another wonderful stay at The Landings. Last year we stayed at The Moorings (next door) this year Scout on the water. Scout on the Water was the perfect holiday home. We had a very relaxing week unwinding at the house, playing in the water and enjoying the veiws; couldn't have asked for more. The photos of Scout on the Water don't do the house justice; it's even better once you are there! Fantastic communication before we arrived with Charles. Thank you. Looking forward to returning next year.

Myself and friends stayed here for a birthday weekend and I could not fault it. The house is beautiful and spacious and each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is always a plus, along with a fourth toilet on the ground floor. The lounge and dinning area are perfect for dinners and lounging around and everything was provided for in the kitchen, even some complimentary eggs, bread and butter to get us started.
The views over the lake were stunning and it felt nice and secluded. There was plenty of room in the hot tub and the electric bbq would be perfect in the summer. The local area is also really beautiful with places to walk and several places to eat and drink.
Both the organiser and the host were amazing - we had to move the date several times and they were really accommodating and helpful. The host visited us while we were their to check on the hot tub and make sure everything was okay.
I would highly recommend this place along with staycationholidays.co.uk where we made the booking.

We couldn't have asked for a better 'home from home' feeling then that to which we received at Scout on the Water. Booking in with Staycation Holidays Ltd. was brilliant as Charles offers the best customer service I have ever encountered. Kevin, the owner is amazing and such a wonderful, caring holiday accommodation owner. We've had many experiences through the years booking accommodation in the UK and abroad, and the service we received from both at Scout is the best I've ever had.
Scout on the Water itself, is absolutely beautiful and provides everything and anything you could want in a Holiday. The location is peaceful and gorgeous. The home is so comfortable with a fantastic couch and TV set up for those not doing the Holiday thing out and about. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need to make a great meal or bake up some souffle's. There is such an abundance of space, room should not be an issue for even the largest of families as even the bathrooms are more than beyond generous.
For those with allergies, asthma or MCAS - my son and I have some health troubles and heavy use of fragrant detergents/softeners, plug ins, fragrance bombs and the like can cause breathing difficulties. Fortunately for us, Scout was very minimal on irritants like perfumed products and caused us no issues, which in itself is very, very hard to find.
It was my son's happy 16, and we had such a brilliant mini celebration at Scout and lots of great memories. The parking is great, right up to the door with 2 available spaces at all times. The furnishes are up to date and provide a sense of calm. Above all that though - is the view from the large deck complete with Hot Tub and mini pier.
We visited during a bit of chaotic weather in February so we weren't able to enjoy all that the lake and location has to offer. That said, we loved Scout so much, I can't think of anywhere else we would of rather been. With underfloor heating we were all nice and cosy.
Thank you Kevin and Charles - for the most fabulous stay! We will definitely be back when we can - as I can't think of anywhere else we'd rather stay.

Our short stay was absolutely stunning, on arrival everything was so clean and welcoming. Kevin the owner was a fantastic host. This lakeside retreat was the perfect place to relax and unwind with friends and family.
I cannot recommend this property enough, I will definitely be back soon.

Perfect location for a relaxing stay at the lakes. Owner really helpful with recommendations for local places to eat and have coffee…Fenton Community Cafe was lovely - and dog friendly! Old George Inn in South Cerney was great too. Hot tub at sunset was beautiful. All in all a fab week away - we’ve already rebooked for next year!

We had a great few days here and were so lucky with the weather in late September. It was the perfect spot for a grown up family to enjoy a break together. We were 3 couples which meant that everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, the perfect set up. Charles organised paddle boards and canoes which was simple and meant we didn’t have to think about it when we arrived. I would recommend Staycations.

The gorgeous house on the water was perfect for a family holiday. Well maintained by the owner and always available. flowing out of the beautiful lounge area onto a deck with views of the lake. Jetty to launch boats and canoes. Evenings in the southwest facing sunken hot tub watching the sun go down. Bedrooms beautifully finished, each with en-suite bathroom. Every modern facility. Good WiFi too. Staycation holidays are the agents brilliant to deal with. Contect Charles there.

We couldn't have asked for more, the house was just PERFECT! The house is spacious, bright and has incredible views across the lake and the sunsets that you get are sensational. The house has everything that you could need and if there is anything extra that you are after then Kevin is just the most accommodating host. Couldn't recommend more. We will be back. We are already booked for Easter next year.

Scout on the water was fantastic! What wonderful views! The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped too. It was nice to feel a little ‘tucked away’, however there are some water sports facilities and places to eat nearby. Kev was a great host, and was the prefect balance of friendly and professional. If you have children, highly recommend visiting the Cotswolds wildlife park. Would defiantly return.
