Booked Rivercatcher for a family weekend away for a 30th celebration & we were not disappointed! We booked both Hyggelig cabin & Gamekeepers cottage & it our weekend was perfect. Everything was beautiful, the location/scenery is stunning. Accommodation is of a very high standard & there was everything you would need within the cabin/cottage. I would especially recommend Gameskeepers cottage for the view & hot tub. We spent a day on the lake in Bala nearby & also utilised the games room at the property. We had the loveliest week staying at Rivercatcher. The lodge has the highest quality kit and the hottub was so powerful it felt like a daily massage! Really appreciated the next day delivery on food orders through Rivercatcher online. The highlight was spotting the kingfisher on our last morning. Def recommend and would definitely return!
The house was booked as part of my 60th year celebration. It proved ideal for us all, plenty of space that included the garden for the kids to run around in. The kitchen was one of the best equiped we have ever had in a holiday rental. The fact there was plastic cutlery available for the smaller children a real bonus. I also liked the logo on the plates that gave an extra touch. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Loved it and will definitely be back. Clean, serene and the hot tub of dreams. Got engaged here so it will always hold a special place in our hearts
We had 3 nights at Gillies Cottage and had such a lovely staycation. The cottage was well stocked and every detail had been thought of. Superb view from the garden looking over the Welsh hills from comfy garden loungers, and the hot tub was a welcome treat. Many thanks.
What a fantastic week staying at rivercatcher it’s such a beautiful, comfortable accommodation in North Wales and it was perfect. Third time return visit to Rivercatcher and our first in a lodge. So pleased we booked the lodge as the recently installed air conditioning was fantastic in the 30c + heat we had for most of the week! The hot tub was also amazing, relaxing in the evening looking out onto superb views,with the distant bleating of sheep. So relaxing! Rivercatcher is beautiful maintained and looked after by the dedicated team and it is an absolute credit to you all. Aled, as ever extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you! If you want peace & quiet to get away from it all this is place is perfect. We stayed in one of the 4 lodges with hot tub, they are compact but open plan so feel more roomy. The outside space is beautiful & fantastic for our dog with having your own private garden. The grounds are also lovely with the river Dee flowing by. Apart from walking there isnt much to do nearby & a meal out involves a drive but the peace & quiet makes up for that.
