6 of us (siblings and partners) met up at Gamekeepers Cottage for a pre-Christmas get together. The cottage is very well maintained and was nicely decorated for Christmas. Its location next to the river is a bonus. The whole site is attractive, well laid out and very tidy. Not that we would want to, but could not fault it. We intend to return again next year.
Our 4th Stay at Rivercatcher. Every thing as good as before, lovely quiet position, on great stretch of the River. We bought our paddle boards, and had some nice afternoons on the river. You have to make the effort to stay here, as 20mins from nearest shops in Bala but well worth it.
We spent the week over New Years at the cabin and had the most relaxing time! The cabin was clean and felt very cosy with gorgeous views. The kitchen had everything we needed and the welcome basket was lovely. We had plenty of wood for the fire and the hot tub was wonderful. Definitely a lovely place to go to unwind and relax!
Beautiful cottages along side the river, quiet and well equipped for everything you need. Great location for the dogs to walk from door step. We have stayed in two cottages here now and loved them both.
We stayed for a long weekend at Rivercatcher in the Gezzelig log cabin - it was a lovely break, the lodge is really well laid out, very comfortable and cosy. We really enjoyed the hot tub, which was very clean and tidy (and was maintained every day by the staff, to make sure it stayed that way). All round a lovely stay in a beautiful spot.
We’ve stayed at Rivercatcher 10 times now in the last 5 years despite it being just over an hour from where we live in North Wales. That says it all really - it’s our little piece of heaven, a place where we slip into relaxation mode from the minute we arrive. Flyfisher’s cottage is lovely, set right next to the river Dee, which on this occasion was in full flood so even more spectacular. What makes this place special though is the team. Our family holiday was made so comfortable by staying here. We felt right at home straightaway and was able to have a grocery delivered to us. The hot tub was enjoyed everyday: evening, in the day and even on one occasion in the rain! This was the second time we have stayed here, and we’d do it again.

Gorgeous cabin with everything you could need and more. Highly recommend rivercatcher, great attention to detail - perfect retreat. Very dog friendly. We’ll be back!
