A bit of a find! Remote and beautiful cottage, sheep all around, but town and shops (M&S Food, Tesco, Aldi) an easy 10 mins drive, local bar and restaurant up the road (walkable). Particularly like the large boot room as you walk in can sit on a pew and leave walking boots here, put any muddy things straight into the washer. Also excellent WiFi = everyone happy. Very spacious sitting and bedrooms, log stove, kitchen stuff high spec and lots of it. V comfy beds, blackout curtains and blinds, some wild weather one night but very cosy inside. All in all highly recommended.
Loved this property! Perfect location for easy access to the West End and transport links into Glasgow City Centre. Flat is finished to a really high standard so feels very luxurious. Quiet area and lots of handy restaurants and cafes near by too.
We were invited to a winter wedding at Lungha Castle and this holiday home was a wonderful place to stay. Superb view of the bay and all the way to the Paps of Jura. House is very well equipped and lovely and warm - although the heating system a bit fiddly to try to alter. The only slight problem we had was with the directions to find it which need more reference points - like the phone box and the sign announcing Arduaine and to say to turn up the steep road just at the tiny bridge.
Perfect retreat for a relaxing Christmas break with the family. Very clean, warm and well equipped house. The beds were very comfortable, we haven’t slept so well in ages. The large Christmas tree was decorated beautifully for our arrival. The owners have thought of everything. We couldn’t fault a thing and would definitely recommend this beautiful property without hesitation.
Had a great stay mid term break (Mond-Friday) with family and friends. 4 adults (40 somethings) , 4 children (2 sixteen year olds and 2 thirteen year olds). Instructions on booking and location sent in advance of visit, all clear and no issues in arriving. Scenery on route fantastic with great autumn colours, lochs and a pleasant drive for us. Stopped for couple of drinks and food at Ben Cruachan Hotel en-route; excellent views, good food, very pleasant staff and would recommend a visit. Arrived late afternoon and easily accessed house. It was a little cold for the girls on arrival (...more
The location of Argyll Mansions could not be better; it's right in the centre of Oban, just yards from restaurants, shops, cafes, railway and bus stations, and the ferry terminal. There are lofty views over the busy harbour to Kerrera and, in the distance, Mull. The price to be paid is three flights of stairs to be climbed, so you need to be reasonably fit. The flat is posh Victorian in style, with comfortable modern furniture and a particularly well kitted-out kitchen. Two lightbulbs needed changing during our stay, but this was very quickly attended to by the owner. Car parking is a peren...more
Great place to stay and very relaxing. Always easy to book. Highly recommend a 4x4 for getting to the property.
beautiful cottage very clean and nice view, nice welcome and goodies. The only negative thing is the busy country road. We had a lovely stay here.
