We had originally booked the old lighthouse but this was hit by lightning on the morning of our arrival and was therefore out of action. We were contacted by phone and offered Sea Folly as an alternative.
We were not disappointed.
Sea Folly was an excellent alternative. It is a spacious, well appointed, comfortable property. The bedrooms are spacious, some with en suite facilities. The kitchen is really well equipped with high end electrical goods. The open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area has a large dining table and very comfortable sofas. There is a wood burning stove, which we did not ne...more
The best cottage we have stayed in. Old Hunstanton is an ideal location, near to a lovely beach. We visited Holkham Hall, Pensthorpe, Snettisham and took the children to Bewilderwood and Dinosaur world at Lenwade. All within an easy drive. Had a couple of lovely meals at the Lodge and fish and chips at Eric's at Thornham. A lovely holiday, thank you.
We took our family of 8 consisting of 3 children and 5 adults to stay for a week in The Lighthouse to celebrate my 70th birthday. The accommodation was just right for our needs. It comfortably sleeps 8 people and so much room we didn't feel in each others way at any time. Plenty of crockery and cutlery you were never short of any items even when the dishwasher was loaded.
The children loved roaming about going down the cellar and up to the top of the tower (with an adult at all times)
My favourite spot was sitting on the balcony in the evening with the sun setting over the sea, beautiful.
Great week in Mulligan. We have stayed in Albatross and Parr before, but first time in Mulligan. Very hot week, and being able to open the Juliet balcony doors in the lounge and bedroom created a good through-draft. Used the sitting area under the canopy by the road more, as no balcony, but do like the kitchen having a side window that Parr does not have. Position is ideal for the beach.
Once again we had a lovely time at the Albatross. It is a home from home. Fantastic views over the golf course and the beach huts. Watching the wild life in the evening. A short walk up to the Lodge for a drink or meal. In the day time plenty of places to visit either by foot, car or the hopper buses. Can't wait to visit again.
We stayed with our grown up children, grandchildren and dogs for a week and had a wonderful holiday. The cottage was comfortable, clean and spacious with the decking and the garden being excellent for outdoor bbq's, games and drinks. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances and the lounges and bedrooms very comfortable. So close to the beach could walk the dogs early each morning before coming back for breakfast. The Lodge just across the way, is a great pub, good food and atmosphere an easy place to collect the keys. Recommended.
