We had the most perfect stay on the evening of our wedding! We couldn’t have asked for anymore! The room and bathroom were stunning! The breakfast was delicious and the best service ever! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! :)
Absolutely stunning views, very romantic and felt really special for the night of our wedding. Only wish was that we stayed the night before, or my husband got ready there so we had longer in the room as we had to check out quite early.
We rented two cottages next door to each other, this worked perfectly for our group. Both cottages were beautiful presented, loved the little extras, tea tray set up and biscuits on arrival, milk in fridge, fresh flowers, mini toiletries. Will definitely be back.
Our fourth visit to Combermere in nine months and nothing changes. The cottage is exceptionally clean and comfortable, set in the most glorious surroundings. All the staff we have met are welcoming and friendly
We spent last weekend at Crossley Cottage, Combermere, with our 3 children, their partners and our 3 grandchildren. What a glorious place to stay! The cottage is superb. Each bedroom is ensuite. There are two adjoining living areas, which gave us all plenty of space and the kitchen is beautifully equipped and has a dining table that comfortably seated all 11 of us. The gardens and grounds are stunning. We enjoyed walking through the woodland to the lake, biking, playing tennis and, those more active members, jogging. Tennis racquets, a croquet set and a selection of bikes were among ...more
Booked all the cottages at Combermere to celebrate my 50th birthday with friends and family. The sales and housekeeping staff were helpful and so accommodating for all our needs. Hired caterers on the Saturday to cook for 53 of us and serve in Beckett ! Fabulous space - team at Combermere set everything up and couldn’t have wished for a better night and trip ! This is our 2nd time here and we will he back - thank you
We thought staying in Stapleton for our son Paul and daughter-in-law Jess was wonderful, comfort was home from home. We were left a wonderful breakfast hamper with fresh bread, butter, croissants, cereals and milk. We would not hesitate to recommend Combermere Abbey to friends and family. Regards Doreen Hurst
We had a lovely couple of nights stay at Callander Cottage to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. Despite the weather being so bad that we couldn't explore the Woodland Walk, we still had a great time visiting the walled gardens enjoying the beautiful floral displays & viewing the glasshouse via the fruit maze & even venturing down the path to the Mere. The cottage was very cosy with quality furniture & fittings with very well stocked kitchen crockery & utensils so that you can prepare your own meals. If you did want to venture out for a meal, the Combermere Arms is only a few mins aw...more
Really enjoyed our stay and cottage was well stocked with tea/ coffee etc . Loved the shop in the courtyard and the honesty box. Staff were very helpful. One day ill swim in the Mere ! i would say that having a dog with us was well thought out by house keeping and the welcome pack was much appreciated. One aspect that I feel could be improved is the marking of the dog friendly areas and the Woodland Walk trail....I tried twice to find the route and did not find it to the circular section. Bins would be useful too in additional areas for dog waste. We look forward to returning.
Groom's party used the stone lodge for getting ready in and it was spot on. Made the day start off really relaxed and easy. Few drinks on the lovely sun drenched patio, everything we needed inside and ample room to get ready. Started the day off with a visit from the photographer to capture the lovely building and the groom's party getting ready. Made everything so easy and would definitely recommend it. Greg
Good all round stay. Nothing more to say. Why do I need to use a hundred characters when a few will do.
This was our third visit to the cottages at Combermere Abbey, and we had another fabulous stay. Our aim was to escape for a quiet family weekend, with plenty of time to read, play games and walk. Mission accomplished - we’ll be back!
