We stayed two nights in the Salamanca Suite at Combermere. The North Wing is beautiful, as was our suite. Immaculate, comfortable, everything we could have wanted. Tasty breakfast each morning served in lovely surroundings. Many thanks go to Stephan for ensuring our stay was amazing.
This is a very special place to stay, full of history, beautiful furnishings, excellent personal service and delicious food.
We spent a week at Malbanc and enjoyed every minute. The property was perfect for 8 of us and well laid out for us not to feel on top of each other. It was very comfortable and well equipped. The estate was amazing, tennis every day, walks to spot local wildlife and even swimming in the lake. There are some lovely places to eat and would highly recommend the Combermere Arms, Etzio an amazing Italian in Whitchurch and for something really special Docket 33 with their tasting menu. In terms of improvements its pretty perfect already but some large drinking glasses, a wok or large frying pan ...more
Combermere is the most perfect location this is our 7th visit. The cottages are fantastic and so well equipped. It is such a beautiful, peaceful location. Extra covid measures are in place to make you feel safe which we did. We had a wonderful time again and always recommend Combermere to family and friends.
The cottage was lovely and clean. We enjoyed the woodland walk. Perfect weekend away for the family.
Wished we stayed longer. Will definitely return. So dog friendly. Our boys loved running around. The cottage was lovely and the estate is superbly well maintained. Such a lovely place for a break. Can’t wait to return
Lovely, well furnished cottage, ideal for a larger group (we were only 2). Very pleasant location, well geared up as a wedding venue. Although advertised as set in 1000 acres, it was disappointing to find there was very little opportunity to explore as access is very restricted. Close to Audlem & the Shropshire canal for pleasant walks. Nearby pub well worth a visit.
An excellent "get away from it all" experience at Combermere. Wonderful grounds with an abundance of walks, tennis court and a great relaxing place to stay. The cottage was superb and ideally sited for exploring Cheshire and Shropshire. We'll be back.
Had a very peacefull stay,in a well kept property.Cottage had everything required, for your stay. Good walks and lovely countryside, and places near to visit. No complaints.
We chose this partly for its proximity to family,to facilitate a long awaited visit. However, it was also ideal for our elderly dog with a secure enclosed garden and mainly carpeted floors. We didn't use upstairs but it looked more suitable for children as the stairs are steep. The furniture in the lounge is a little tired although still comfortable, but otherwise the furnishing and equipment are very good. The estate provides excellent walking facilities and a fabulous swimming area in the lake(which I took full advantage of). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a little t...more
Lovely clean cottages and staff are very helpful and friendly . That said mattress was changed the next day Cottages have no/ poor phone reception - our cottage phone and WiFi were not working . Again WiFi was fixed the next day but For some reason they were not able to or didn’t have time to fix the phone .
