Where do I start? Probably with the view which they didn’t create but wow how well is it displayed, a complete wall of glass with stunning views over the loch. The rest of the accommodation matches that view. The living space is huge and comfortable with a massive tv with all the streaming channels you need. The kitchen is roomy with space to put all your food away, which believe me isn’t always the case! The appliances are brilliant, everything you need for a holiday and easy to use which again is not always the case. The bedroom is large with another huge tv and has a dressing room to the si...more
This was our third visit to Scotland with Auchenheglish and most certainly won't be our last. The other properties we stayed in were stunning. On arrival at Ferry point west the access was easy. We entered the lodge and we both said WOW!!!!. Then the view hit us and left us with few words , just silence with open mouths. Fantastic scenery. The lodge it's self is spotlessly clean and hats off to the cleaners, amazing job. There's no point in wasting time in trying to find fault and no point trying to find anything that might be missing. My wife Janine is normally quite critical when visiting ho...more
We’ve stayed at various Auchenhegleish lodges over the last few years and have never been disappointed BUT Ferrypoint North exceeded all our expectations. The views were amazing - it was like looking at a painting from the glass fronted house. The welcome from Graham and Lynne was great - especially Lynne - she had us laughing within 2 minutes. The house itself was furnished to the highest standard and was so comfortable. We’ll be back. Thank you for a great experience
Lovely house for the two families that stayed. Plenty of space for kids and a beautiful kitchen meant we could have some nights in after long days. Great location for exploring the national park. Owner was very helpful with recommendations and providing a fantastic welcome pack. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
We had the most relaxing time at Hollybank Lodge. Everything was as advertised and met our highest of expectations! The lodge itself is lovely and modern, with a great open plan feel - perfect for us as a couple. The location is ideal, you have your privacy along with breathtaking views of the Loch and Ben Lomond. This was a wonderful place to both use as a base to go out on trips from, or have lazy days on the decking or in the hot tub. We've loved it so much, we're booked to go back next year!
A wonderful weekend in a luxurious accommodation, everything you could possibly need was available and made our stay comfortable and relaxing. An amazing place to all get together with the most fantastic views with privacy and felt secure. Would highly recommend a stay here if looking for accommodation for a party of 10. The house did not disappoint.
From the moment you walk down to Heron lodge you are transported into a world of tranquility, sitting right on the edge looking out over Loch Lomond was absolutely amazing as the views are stunning! The lodge is beautifully designed and very welcoming when you walk in, it has everything you need for a very comforting stay! Evening times you can all have all the curtains open and enjoy the stunning views or if it’s a warm evening then I would highly recommend sitting outside. Very worth the price you pay as you couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.
The location is unbeatable: sweeping views of Loch Lomond and the mountains beyond. We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is fantastic. There's plenty of space and we felt like we were on holiday from the moment we arrived. We'd highly recommend!
The views were outstanding over the Loch. A few mornings the Loch was flat and the colous and light from the breakfast table was jaw dropping. Everything was provided such as washing up, dishwasher powder, toilet roll, coffee pods and welcome pack in the fridge. The big supermarkets were not too far away for supplies. Would stay again :)
This cottage is set right on the lake so the views through the windows are lovely and ever changing. The cottage is very well equipped and everything is new or in very good condition. We were there for a week and ate most of our meals at the cottage looking out onto the lake. The bed was very comfortable so we were well rested. It is a bit of a hike getting down and back up to the car park area so for people with mobility problems you may struggle with this element. The only problem we had was the wifi signal was intermittent so watching Netflix or Amazon prime was not always available. ...more
Beautiful location, amazing views. Spotlessly clean, comfortable property with everything we needed.
Lovely accommodation in gated grounds. Apartment was clean, well equipped and the welcome basket went down very well since we flew up and couldnt bring anything with us. Since we were upstairs, it would have been nice to have some outside tables and chairs allocated to those without balconies and outdoor areas so we could enjoy the views into the evening. We would stay again though.
The lodge is in a wonderful location and the views of the loch are great. The kitchen is a bit tired but it’s a comfy lodge.
We had a lovely stay at Bonnie Banks Cottage, very spacious, clean and in a lovely location. My only suggestion would be to get rid of the dated sky and invest in a smart TV whereby guests can access their own streaming services (which would also save you money). Would also recommend that in the welcome folder there was taxi numbers and local takeaways who are familiar with the location. Would definitely stay again.
This was our second family get together at Carriage Lodge and catered for our 2 year old up to our 87 year old Grandmother. The garden is perfect for the wheelchair and tot. We yet again felt at home with no negative points whatsoever and we will definitely return when we can.
