This is our 2nd visit to holly bank lodge we stayed for 7 nights . We picked an excellent week for the weather sun everyday of our stay . We spent a lot of our time enjoying sitting out on the decking watching the wild life . The lodge has everything you need for perfect stay . My only complaint is because it was summer the lodge gets very warm at night the lodge could really do with a fan . Would I recommend holly bank to friends and family YES I will certainly book again I love this lodge !
Great apartment fully equipped for a fabulous stay.Super views from all windows. Were at wedding at Cruin so this was ideal 5 minutes walk away.Definitely would go back again for a relaxing break.
Attending a Family Wedding on Loch Lomond we wanted somewhere for 6 adults and 4 children to spend a few days together. My son discovered Hollybank House on the internet. We spoke to Liz and booked for early June 2018. I cannot praise this house enough. The views are spectacular from every room. Everything in the house was perfect. It was spotless, very spacious and had everything you would need at home. I could not fault anything about this "luxury home" at all. In the run up to our visit we had so many questions re cot bed & blankets, steriliser for baby bottles. Liz was amazing and...more
We stayed at the heron lodge for five days and it was one of the best breaks we had with astonishing views of the loch and a memorable sunset. The lodge was equipped with everything you need and was very spacious also the bbq was a bonus. Everything was set for a relaxing break and the views were amazing. We’ll be back.
We enjoyed our stay at the lodge. Very comfortable would recommend to visit and will definately book again. Thank you to the lady at reception when I had my accident. Mary
We stayed along with other members of our family in other apartments and had a fabulous time. We could not get over the stunning views and so felt there was no need to go anywhere else! We went down to the loch side on the jetty, enjoyed the sunshine sitting in front of the house and used the BBQ provided for a lovely get together. Only negative was the steep hill outside the house down to the loch. We had to be up with our one year old constantly instead of giving her a little freedom to run! Cot bed and high chair provided were great. We would love to return in the future, it is a very spe...more
This is a top quality home, great decoration, plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The upstairs game and reading room is a good idea and the separate games room outside is superb for all the family. Close to all the local tourist area’s, some nice restaurants close by. The main living room has Sky and Netflix which was a god send as we had terrible weather all week so ended up playing pool, table tennis and watching movies. Highly recommend!
Room was mostly well equipped and clean. The grounds of this property were amazing! Here are a few things this room needs in order for people to have an even better stay. 1) BLACK OUT window shades or blinds. Sun went down at 10:45pm and was back up at 4:15am! All the windows in this unit had only a white shade that let all the sunlight in, so we didn't sleep well until we covered our faces with something which kept falling off. We tried to buy sleeping masks at a few stores and were not able to find any. 2) A couple of small portable FANS shlould in the closet for those rare warm Scott...more
We have just had our second short break in Creinch lodge , It is a truly magical place to stay . To paraphrase Bill Bryson ,You haven't been ? Go now, take my car ! .You wont regret it . Ian & Melanie , Newcastle Upon Tyne .
All was perfect. Fantastic house and view. The site is beautiful to go for a walk, with forrest and rivers all around.
Our recent stay in Jetty Lodge more than lived up to expectations. It’s location is stunning and the layout of the lodge with the upstairs lounge and deck as well as the downstairs ones gave us choices of where to do our relaxing. Given the fantastic weather during our stay they were both well used! Jetty Lodge is close enough to local amenities both for leisure, sightseeing and for shopping but its position means you can return to it after a day out and be away from the world. All in all a well equipped, comfortable lodge in a beautiful location which provided us with the relaxing h...more
The cottage was a wonderful find, and was a great alternative to a hotel for a family of 5 to stay in. A three bedroom, three bath cottage, with full amenities at a great price. Really, what is there not to enjoy? The location is well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen, comes fully stocked with everything you might possibly need to cook a meal (sans food). Admittedly you do give up the hotel's daily cleaning of Towels and Sheets, but there is a washer and dryer available to you if you such a need arises. If I had to nitpick my stay at the Bonnie Banks Cottage in any degree, it ...more
Cottage was adequate for stay. Comfortable for two people and kitchen well equipped. Situated on a busy through road though with traffic noise, especially big lorries.
The accommodation lived up to our expectations with the exception of the conservatory. Due to the very warm weather it was more like a sauna and we were unable to use it in the evenings.. Whist there were instructions of how to use the television there were none for use of the oven which we were unable to use. saved by the microwave! The shower room was well appointed but on occasions the light turned itself off which we thought was a safety hazard when using the shower. We were please with the bread, butter, marmalade, milk coffee and tea that was provided. Our overall experience w...more
Fantastic house, location and service, it was just perfect for our family getaway. We loved it and would love to go back!
We really enjoyed staying at the stables lodge. Very clean , spacious and a great location. We didn’t think of bringing toiletries, so we had to go out and buy shampoo, soap etc.
Generally we were pleased with the facilities at the lodge. It was showing signs of wear and really needs some tlc to be classed as 'luxery'. The downstairs shower did not work as the temperature control was ineffective so for those in the downstairs room it meant they had to keep using the upstairs bathroom which put pressure on that - one bathroom between six adults is not really acceptable. The so called welcome pack was disappointing - one bottle of prosecco between eight, bottle of milk, small loaf of bread and box of shortbread. We were invited to enjoy the goodies in the fridge - th...more
Really enjoyed our stay at No.15, location is second to none looking directly onto Loch Lomond. The accommodation is good, tastefully furnished and in generally good condition through out. We would stay again
We were recently lucky enough to stay at the Shore House in Tarbet right on the shore of Loch Lomond. It was absolutely perfect and beautiful! We traveled from Canada with our family and inlaws. We were a group of 10 including 4 kids. There was more than enough space for all of us in the house and every bedroom was great...although we especially loved the ones with a view of the lake and mountains! Our favourite room to spend time in was the windowed sitting area in the back. So relaxing after our adventure filled days exploring the area. The house was very clean and we only wish we could...more
We chose the Coachouse and adjoining Stables for our family group of 7 adults and 2 children attending a family wedding at the nearby Cruin. From first contact the service provided through Auchenheglish Lodges was outstanding and so friendly. I was confident that the Coachouse would meet our needs and that any issue would be quickly resolved. The Lodge itself is spacious and well equipped. There are two very large double/family rooms with ensuite shower rooms and a third small double with shower downstairs. We easily sat 9 people at the breakfast table in the kitchen which has plenty of...more
