This was our first time to Loch Lomond area, and I must say we were lucky to stay here for 2 nights. Bus station and restaurant/cafe are nearby, and a taxi ride from Glasgow airport to the apartment was short. Rooms were clean and modern - luxurious/high-tech home appliances were unexpected bonus. Wendy was extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back !
We could not have chosen a more perfect place. We had a lovely welcome and it was wonderful to walk into the house. The location of the property was perfect. The decor was very pleasing and the view of the loch was perfect. Our whole party was very impressed. Everything had been thought of and the grocery package was much more than adequate. The games room provided great fun and entertainment. A small observation, kitchen more tea towels and a hand towel. All in all a marvellous place and a wonderful week end. Thank you. Phil from Biggar
Can not recommend Hollybank and Auchenheglish highly enough Location is great for either staying in and watching the view or as a base to explore Quality of accommodation second to none
We spent 2 nights in this lovely house to celebrate family birthdays. We were 10 adults and a 15month old toddler. Was disappointed that the condition of the high chair and travel cot were not as spotless as the rest of the house. The setting is superb with wonderful views from the decking and the interior of the house. The kitchen is superb with everything available to cook and serve meals. Had an issue with the dishwasher as 2 wheels from the bottom shelf were missing. We arrived on one of the hottest days of the year and the house was very warm. Unfortunately there were no fans available w...more
The lodge was wonderful. Spacious and very clean, it was a perfect home away from home! It was amazing to wake up and not only see the Loch but to hear the water lapping against the edge It was really private too, gated walk to the lodges. Easy to walk to restaurant and would recommend duck bay restaurant for food. No complaints at all
Overall we had a lovely holiday. The accommodation was great and suited our needs. There were a few issues 1. The water in the loch was very low so we couldn’t use the jetty to tie up our boat. This obviously wasn’t their fault but it would have been useful to use the swinging mooring but this hadn’t been checked or maintained so was unusable. 2. We felt that there should have been some sort of barrier between the house and the loch. We had a small child with us and we couldn’t let him outside without someone holding his hand at all times. Perhaps a glass barrier could be put up so the view...more
Enjoyed our stay at 3 Lomond Castle. Nice rooms with lovely views over the Loch. Nice walk to Duck Bay in the evenings. Good location for touring the area
Just wanted to raise an issue we had when we stayed at Callanish House last week. My sister’s bed duvet was heavily stained and we could not find a replacement in the house therefore she chose to sleep without any on. Please see attached pics of the stained duvet, it was rather bad. The midgies were also a nuisance, and maybe you could suggest to the owner a mosquito like net on the windows, especially in the kitchen-near the dining table as they came in on our food. Possibly some citronella fragrance also seems to do the trick with them little beasties. The house was beautiful, was...more
Had a wonderful stay at Bonnie Banks. The amenities were perfect, the cottage was spacious and very comfortable for 6 of us. And you can't beat the location! Our only criticism is the bathroom lights which are motion activated, no doubt a safety concern. Would have liked to be able to override them, or have a dimmer light, especially in the middle of the night! The hosts were very helpful, and the provisions they provided were much appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place to others!
Although advertised as on edge of the Loch it wasn’t actually possible to see the Loch from our accommodation or even from the rear of the building in which our flat was. I believed this was a small complex but there are a lot of flats, houses and wooden cabin style properties on the complex. The restaurant on the complex was booked for a private function on the evening we arrived and we struggled to find anywhere to eat out nearby as all very very busy even though not peak season. No curtains in bedroom, only a thin roller blind so long midsummer nights meant too much light in bedroom. Open...more
Two of us stayed here as we had friends renting the main house - really lovely little place to stay and great location close to Loch Lomond and lots of other beautiful places. Well equipped and comfortable.
We had a great stay at the carriage lodge. Definitely comfortable and relaxing. Will recommend to others.
We had a lovely weekend with family celebrating my Mum’s special birthday. The views and gardens are just beautiful and the dogs loved the space too!! The house is very clean, spacious and comfort and has everything you need. Would definitely recommend.
A lovely cottage in a great setting - ideal for either a short break or a longer stay. Would have liked to have facilities for recycling.
