The self-catering holiday cottages at Benar sit quietly on a beautiful hillside, a short walk from the village of Penmachno and just three miles from Betws-y-Coed in Eryri National Park
We enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing week in Benar Bach. The cottage was thoroughly charming, with lots of "little touches" throughout that really made the difference, such as the luxurious bed linen and toiletries to the personal welcome. The setting was amazingly quiet and peaceful, and we loved having our own waterfall just outside the terrace, providing a relaxing background. We really appreaciated the folder of suggested walks and activiites, and benefitted from taking the helpful maps with us on our rambles. Lots of waterfalls to admire, plenty of places to visit within easy reach.

We loved our time at Benar. Cottage was cosy and had all we needed. Bike storage, hose and washing machine very welcome after some wet mountain biking. Brilliant location for from-the-door access to the great MTB trails of Penmachno.
Impressed again with the cleanliness of the cottage and surrounding area of the patio and car parking space, enough room for two vehicles per cottage.
The kitchen is well equipped for a fully cooked dinner or a quick meal with the microwave.
There is plenty of books, dvds and games if you are saying there for the day or for unwinding at the end of a busy driving day.
Paul and Daniel are available if there are any problems, but never had to call them for anything.

We had two fantastic weeks at Benar's Y Llaethdy.
The cottage was very well equipped and we were provided with milk, tea and coffee at arrival, as well as fresh bed linnen and towels at half time. Thank you for that!
Our bikes were stored dry and safe in the barn, where we also were able to ccharge them.
The view from our terrace was beautiful and we enjoyed the many birds and sheep a lot.
It was perfect for us, that we had access to a forest track right from the doorstep, so we did not use the car every day.
Be prepared to find a rather rough farm track leading from the street to the c...more
