The self-catering holiday cottages at Benar sit quietly on a beautiful hillside, a short walk from the village of Penmachno and just three miles from Betws-y-Coed in Eryri National Park
We are a retired couple who like walking & birdwatching. We have stayed at Benar Cottages several times and always had a relaxing time. The cottages are fitted out to the highest degree. The location is off road reached by a farm track across a sheep field with an access gate onto the main road. This is a small price to pay to obtain the quiet location. The hosts will take care of anything you need as they live in the farmhouse close by.

We had a lovely week staying in Bwythn Meillion cottage. The cottage was clean, tidy and well-stocked upon arrival, and had fantastic views. Daniel and Paul were very welcoming hosts. We hope to be back sometime in the future!
I can see why Benar has so many repeat visitors. We will definitely be back!
Y Llaethdy had the most beautiful view and I sat every morning and evening watching the sheep. The cottage had everything we needed and more!
Stunning location...secluded but close enough to "the gateway of Eryri". After busy days hiking, Y Llaethdy honestly was the perfect place to come home to and relax.
Daniel and Paul absolutely fantastic hosts. What a wonderful thing they've got going on at Benar!
