The self-catering holiday cottages at Benar sit quietly on a beautiful hillside, a short walk from the village of Penmachno and just three miles from Betws-y-Coed in Eryri National Park
I had a fantastic stay here, it looks exactly like described. Its a lovely small cozy spot that backs onto a forest, the view is incredible even when it rains. There wasnt a spot of dust inside, it was very clean and i loved the little things, like the stones on top of the stair banister and the painted pattern on the beams. I wouldn't say its modern or rustic it has got its own category a bit if both Its beautiful inside and out.
Cottage very well fitted out and in a beautiful and quiet location. WE did not use all the cooking equipment but everything available if you want a self-catering holiday. Heating very good wit central heating and a lovely gas fire in the lounge section of the cottage. Internet and Satellite TV available but no mobile service, which for a week I consdier a blessing. You can always pick up your mobile signal in Betws-y-Coed or Penmachno. Hosts Daniel and Paul very friendly and made us very welcome on arrival with fresh flowers and fresh shortbread courtesy of Paul. A lovely, quiet place to stay.
Loved our stay here. Fabulous views across the valley, lovely views from terrace. Comfy beds and great shower. Great hosts.
Location is good, walks from Benar seemed like plentiful, we did one from here. Would I recommend a stay here, yes.
