The self-catering holiday cottages at Benar sit quietly on a beautiful hillside, a short walk from the village of Penmachno and just three miles from Betws-y-Coed in Eryri National Park
We spent a wonderful 3 nights at Benar Bach.
The cottage is lovely and cosy and equipped with everything we needed. Location is excellent for either exploring North Wales or just staying local and enjoying the countryside, a number of nice walks or bike rides are described in the welcome folder. Just staying at the cottage to unwind listening to the stream and birds is a pleasure in itself. The hosts are also helpful and on hand if needed but also leave you to your own devices to enjoy the tranquility.
Our short stay in the cozy cottage was truly special with warm hospitality by Daniel and Paul. It has absolutely stunning view from the cottage. there are two very useful resource folders which will help you plan you day and fit in any additional interesting activity that you may have missed with plenty of local recommendations. we would love to revisit again.
It is a superb, well equipped cottage in an extremely beautiful location. The walks out from the cottage are brilliant, and the information provided was above and beyond! The car chargers on site were so much appreciated (and in fact why we chose to stay here). It is a narrow squeeze to get into the car parking, but that's the nature of the location. Lovely remote feel but close to local amenities and attractions. Sitting outside in the sun on the terrace was a highlight and it was a cosy cottage to return back to. We enjoyed the fire in an evening. Thank you also for the Welcome pack - being ...more
We like the cottage so much that this time we extended to 10 days.
A great area to explore .
Daniel and Paul are experienced hosts who really know how to make you welcome and comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble .
