The self-catering holiday cottages at Benar sit quietly on a beautiful hillside, a short walk from the village of Penmachno and just three miles from Betws-y-Coed in Eryri National Park
We are a retired couple who like walking & birdwatching. We have stayed at Benar Cottages several times and always had a relaxing time. The cottages are fitted out to the highest degree. The location is off road reached by a farm track across a sheep field with an access gate onto the main road. This is a small price to pay to obtain the quiet location. The hosts will take care of anything you need as they live in the farmhouse close by.
We spent a month riding mountain bikes in North Wales and Y Llaethdy at Benar Cottages was our base / home. With direct access to the trails of Penmachno, couldn't ask for more, however there is way more to ride within 20mins to an hour (Dyfi Bike Park).
The location just outside the busy hub of Betws-y-Coed you get all the access to exceptional nature without the crowds. It places you close to great restaurants/pubs/shops but you come home to nature.
