We had the best stay for my husbands birthday at the sherpherds hut. Snuggliest bed which we sank into and thoroughly enjoyed the pets ducks we had for the few days let alone all the other beautiful animals, Adorable new Brian! Brilliant view of Weston Sea, a perfect hideaway treat.
Beautiful location on a working farm with animals nearby which was lovely too see. Great set up in Lotties Lodge. The local pub serves excellent home made food, are dog friendly and in walking distance, book in advance to get a table. James was very friendly and helpful with recommending places to go. Cheddar Gorge is very pretty. Brean Downs is a lovely beach visit & also dog friendly.
Overall, we had a great time at Orchard Yurt but there were some issues/shortfalls which was very disappointing. The yurt is a gorgeous, unique hideaway. The use of the space is amazing and the interior is so tastefully done out. Whilst we did stay during the extreme heat, we think it would be useful to have an air conditioning unit (as opposed to a fan) in the yurt especially for those of us staying with pets. Firstly, I want to say we had a fabulous weekend here at The Old Dairy. I was celebrating my 60th, and the facilities were spot on and full marks to the private chef Hollie, she was fantastic. First class prebooking communication , very impressed and very happy. Check in was a bit rushed because another party had arrived at the same time, which didn't allow for queries or questions to be answered. Outside seating was lacking in comfortable chairs. Faulous place in a fabulous place. Everything we needed. The little orchard was delightful as were the Emus and Geese. Would deginately book again.
