Stayed in ‘the yurt’ for 2 nights in February and had a fantastic break. Yurt and shower room were spotless and hosts could not be friendlier. Although it was cold outside the yurt, the wood burner made it warm and cosy inside and the hot tub under the stars was a delight. A 5 minute walk to the pub and Chinese takeaway was a bonus, but recommend booking in advance if you want to eat in the pub as very popular especially at weekends. Will be going back for sure.
A very comfortable lodge with one bedroom and a kitchen and sitting area. Nicely decorated and it was all very clean and a pleasant place to stay, the kitchen had everything we wanted. There are geese, chickens and the rheas next door in the orchard but they were not noisy at all and we enjoyed watching them. The owners were helpful, it's a quiet village, there is a pub and a Chinese takeaway and some nice dog walks, Weston is a short drive and there is lots to see nearby. I think it is a super little place and excellent value,

We’ve just come back from the most wonderful 3-day break at Olivia’s Roost on the Walnut Barn Estate in Somerset and honestly, it was absolutely perfect for the two of us. The lodge is beautifully designed with a lovely layout and everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. One of our favourite features was the stunning copper bath, which was absolute bliss and such a luxurious touch. The hot tub was another huge bonus, set in a gorgeous private garden that was perfect for sitting out in the sunshine with a coffee and simply enjoying the peace and quiet. Booked for our golden wedding and a special birthday . The house was amazing we all loved it aged 3 to late 70s plus the dog. Bedrooms were comfy, showers hot , hairdryers in all rooms, great quality pool table, comfy sofas room for all , giant television with all channels plus one in every room . Kitchen had everything was spotless cooked the most perfect roast dinner with no effort which we ate on the lovely dining table . Outdoor garden had everything , bar, garden games, giant hot tub, sauna and artic tub where we toasted marshmallows . Doubt we would find a better property . Enjoyed a vi...more
As a family group of 12 ranging from grandparents to teenagers we all had a most wonderful stay and would definitely return another time. Facilities provided at the barn combined with opportunities for walks, topped by a great local pub were perfect for us. Loved the hot tub and arctic cabin. A great experience from the first moment of booking. Thank you
