Cadhay House is a luxury tudor Manor House where 22 people can stay in the heart of the Devon Countryside or you could choose one of our estate cottages: the Coach House, the Stables or the Cider Press.
Everything about Cadhay is always perfect. We generally have lots of people for the weekend, and we eat in the courtyard. Then, when those who work weekdays and can’t work from home have left, we eat in the glorious dining room. Generally we spend one evening dining in the garden, using the barbecue. At the end of the week when only a few remain we eat in the astonishing meeting room in the attic. The whole family look on it as a paradise on earth, with its idyllic garden.
We rented three properties at Cadhay for my children and grandchildren.
The properties are large (thirteen people altogether) but not crowded. The Coachhouse and Stables open onto the two-acre walled garden where the granchildren were able to run and exhaust themselves.
We grandparents stayed in the Cider House, which accommodates two people. It's a short walk across the Cadhay estate to The Coachhouse and The Stables.
Cadhay is a short drive to Honiton and the south coast along wiggly Devon roads. It's a twenty-minute walk to Ottery St Mary, along a wiggly Devon road.
