Well equipped beautiful home. Only downside is the games room isn’t enclosed and the only access to the hot tub is from a thin spiral staircase that’s not the easiest to climb with a small toddler. All in all we had a beautiful stay and Elly who looks after the house couldn’t have been more accommodating. House is a great location for exploring Bala and North Wales.

We had a lovely stay at the Granary, the house was beautiful very well kept and to a high standard. We spent our time as a family celebrating New year here it was quiet and relaxing, just how we wanted it to be.
We had a lovely weekend stay at Wilder retreats. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming, they even went out of their way to help light the the wood burner hot tub. I would recommend anyone to stay here.
Definitely recommend this property to all,it was clean and had all the facilities you would need for a short break, washing machine, dryer,dish washer and very good wifi. We all throughly enjoyed our stay and are booking again for Christmas. The hosts were excellent and looked after us very well.

Secluded spot with fantastic views. We very much enjoyed our stay. The communication, including directions, leading up to our arrival was excellent. The cottage was inviting and characterful, and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the fire kept the place toastie and cosy. Highly recommend the Warren Bothy- a little haven.

We stayed at Langland bay lookout for my husbands birthday with our children. It was such a peaceful and relaxing spot, not to far (by car) to be able to explore the beautiful beaches and cliffs of Wales. Honestly some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. First time staying in a Shepherds hut and will definitely repeat the experience. Lovely and quiet, hot tub is a nice touch. Stayed in Poppy and there was enough space for us and 2 dogs. Had everything we needed for, well looked after with a perfect enclosed space so the dogs could run free. Good base for walks around the Elan valley area.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Daisy pod. We’ve told all our friends and family about it. Beautifully designed and equipped with everything we needed. Our only recommendation would be to have a king bed rather than a double. Size wise it maybe too tight but that’s was our only thought. The bedding was so soft which was lovely! Thank you

We had such a lovely time at this pod! It’s exactly what we hoped for and what’s in the pictures. You are pretty far away from the other pods, which is means it’s very private, and it’s set in the beautiful countryside. Such a relaxing weekend with stunning views and the hot tub certainly helped! Our second visit to this lovely place which has absolutely everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Waking up to beautiful views of the hillside, stargazing in the hot tub, watching a film projected onto the bedroom blind and toasting marshmallows around the fire pit, so many little details have been thought through to make your stay special. We had a really enjoyable 3 night stay in Mountain View Pod, perfect for us as 2 adults with 2 dogs (one large, one small). The pod has everything you need for a short break. Fully kitted out kitchen including tea, coffee and milk. Bed & sofa were both very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and the shower was really powerful which was welcomed after long walks. We booked this getaway as we needed a bit of rest and somewhere new to visit. After a 6.5hour drive from outside of Glasgow down to St Harmon, we were very happy to unpack and get cosy in Tulip. The cabin was lovely and clean, and was way more spacious than we had expected. This helped as one of our four legged babies is a big girl, and takes up quite the large amount of space! We stayed at Mayflower for 2 nights for our 2nd Anniversary and the whole experience was so relaxing and cosy. It was a lovely escape from our city lives and the views were breathtaking. Although the weather was bad but still we had a great time. The hot tub was just the best and so was the indoor fire pit. The only problem we had was the doors were quite a struggle to open and close as they were very tight but we managed. Overall it was a memorable stay.
The pod was immaculate with everything you needed for your stay. The views are amazing. The communication with the owners was great and they provide you with local knowledge and attractions to help with your stay. I have already recommended to friends and will definitely visit again we had a great time.

Primrose was very clean and cosy. Couldn’t have wished for a better way to spend our anniversary. I would definitely recommend but take into consideration that everything is a long walk away so if you don’t drive expect to stay in the cabin or pay taxi fares. All in all we had an amazing time just relaxing and spending time in the cabin/hot tub. Ps the bed is comfortable I could have brought it home with me.
We had a lovely time. The barn was beautiful and full of quality items and in the summer can imagine how much there is to do in site. Pool was clean and quiet. Only problem- lots of flys inside but this didn’t bother us. Will definitely book again ☺️

What a beautiful place this is luxurious and very clean the hot tub overlooking the hills was perfect Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to a family emergency but we will definitely book again
Had a fantastic stay, the only two things I would mention is it would be good to have a lock on the bathroom door and electric car charging points would be a benefit for a future stay.
Our stay over the new year was jus what we needed after a busy Christmas time for me and my boyfriend to chill before a busy 2024, the tent itself was excellent very comfortable with everything you need. Although it rained the whole duration of our stay it didn’t ruin it but we were unable to use the hot tub and fire pit which was a shame but would love to go in summer and properly enjoy the facilities you pay for. The toilet and shower facilities were close by and clean enough for a camp site. Would definitely recommend staying here in the peaceful setting as a lovely couple of days away.
Andrew was fantastic from start to finish, the perfect host with a passion for all things eco! The pod itself was lovely, having everything we could need readily available and the views from the wood fire hot tub were sensational!
Although small (as to be expected for a shepherds hut) it had everything we could possibly need and was very clean and tidy. The hot tub was perfect. It's location is good for a couple of local pubs and nice walks.
We stayed at the Hayloft with our chidren and grand children for our sons 40th birthday and had a fabulous time. It is a lovely and well equipped house.
Location of the pod is very close to Lake Vyrnwy which is why I booked it. It’s super cute and the view is outstanding. Will definitely be booking again!!!
I don’t have anything negative to say about this place. Everything was perfect we had an amazing stay and didn’t want to leave! The hot tub was brilliant, so nice to sit out at night and enjoy the views.
First time visit to this place and I wasn't disappointed, what a lovely place for a few days rest, everything you need on site, great play area for the kids, indoor swimming pool was great. Cafe are was also good, would have been nice to of maybe a little shop on site so you do some cooking,maybe an idea for future, all the team there was lovely they couldn't do enough, had a few flys in the cabin ut I think that was mainly being near the pond, nothing you can't handle though,was great that ther was a privacy screen around the tub,just perfect, will defo be going back.
My partner and I stayed here 2nd-4th of Feb and loved it. It was my first time in Wales and I’m so happy I chose the Valley View as my first introduction to the stunning country. The little home was gorgeous with everything you could possibly need for your stay and our wooly neighbours really solidified that feeling of being in the country side. I think my only complaint would be that the shower door didn’t open very wide so it was a bit of a squeeze to get it (though I will add that I am a plus size lady so a straight sized person won’t have these issues!!) We have just spent a wonderful relaxed long weekend in the honey bee home. From the first moment walking onto the property and seeing the round windows and hot tube we were in heaven. The attention to detail and the wonderful homemade cake made a fantastic welcome. The home had everything we needed and our children loved their bedroom. The recommendations for places to visit and eat made our stay perfect. We can’t wait to go back.

we stayed at Kestrel cottage 4 adults (friends) and two boys aged 10 and 12 on the 8th December. It was a quiet peaceful place, beautiful scenery and it was an exceptionally clean property to stay in. All the equipment we had the need of was provided. The place was spotless. Very rural but we were happy with that. We had taken dvd’s to use and board games to place. The swimming pool was lovely, sauna was a welcome addition too. We would all return in a heart beat. Great value for money and a perfect place to unwind
We recently stayed and this was our second visit. It is the perfect little break for my partner and I with our two dogs. We have such busy lives and love coming here to switch off. The dogs were very happy to play in the secure garden whilst we watched the sun set in the hot tub. Location is peaceful with amazing views but only a short drive away to local pubs and shops. We visited Elan Valley for a long dog walk - wow! Breathtaking views for every step. We absolutely loved our stay in the Rose Shepherd hut. This was five star ‘shepherd hutting’ and it exceeded our expectations! Thank you for the wonderful service from start to finish. We will be back again for sure - who can resist waking up to that view and watching it from the hot tub! Truly amazing!
We have wonderful time, had little hiccup when we got there the with the heating and towels but the owner sorted it out very quickly and was very lovely and helpful. Our stay was great the cottage is cozy and very relaxing, had a wonderful bath so so so relaxing... Hot tub was fantastic too...and would go back again it was wonderful . Two downside as the noise of the hot tub in the night and they need to fit blinds to upstairs windows, as it very bright in the morning, as I get up early for my job and was hoping to have lay in but to bright .. We have just returned from spending Christmas here as a family of 6. The property is beautiful. The photos don't do it justice. So spacious, clean and homely. Property is well furnished with everything you could possibly need. The owner was very responsive in the run up to our holiday and throughout. We had a slight problem with the heating during our stay and a plumber was sent out within hours to rectify the issue. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and we will be looking to return in the future.
My only grumble is that the pillows were really flat and uncomfortable. So we used extra cushions from the sofa to help prop them up a bit more. However the whole cabin and facilities etc were 100% above what I imagined. Wonderful quiet stay even a park for the children :)
We enjoyed our stay at Owl Hollow. The hobit hole was clean, comfortable and had all the facilities you need for a long weekend away. The hobit holes are located on a farm, we saw alpacas and sheep with newborn lambs, which were adorable. You can also feed the alpacas and they are really friendly. We had some really lovely countryside walks with our dogs, and the views were spectacular. We were limited with what we could do activity wise due to taking our dogs. We will most definitely be going back.

Our first stay here and I can honestly say it won’t be our last. We have stayed locally previously so we knew we liked the area and there was plenty to do nearby, but during this visit we barely left the bungalow. It was so clean on arrival, we had very sweet gifts left for us by the owner (the cupcakes were incredible!), and it felt like a home away from home. We stayed as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids, 3 and 5) and had a fab time. The tent was well equipped and we managed to keep it warm and cosy despite the cold and rain! Although I would recommend taking hot water bottles in the colder weather like we did. The beds were so comfy which was a huge bonus. The hot tub was of huge enjoyment to the kids and they loved it! This was a very quirky and fun stay! The kids loved it. The hot tub was amazing plus the views were stunning and very peaceful. There was a slight damp smell but that didn’t affect the use of the property. The shower could do with a bath mat and a boot stand outside for your wet & muddy wellies!
I think the previous reviews have said it all. The enclosed garden was brilliant for our dog. Had the weather been on our side, we would have enjoyed sitting there. Never stayed in a shepherd's hut before, so weren't certain what to expect. It was warm, and plenty of hot water for showering and washing the dishes. They definitely need a new frying pan in the kitchen as it was very scratched and wasn't flat- so it made cooking a bit of a problem. Such a lovely property very private with a stunning view. It was clean and cosy. Lovely little touches like the delicious freshly baked cake and some marshmallows for the fire. There things in the property for kids to play with like some games and colouring pencils. Their favourite was feeding the alpaca’s! Overall it was a lovely break.
I travelled go cabin nant du with my family and my 6 month old and we had the best time. The property was spotless and had everything we needed. The only thing was I asked for a travel cot but there wasn’t one in the property. Luckily I bought something similar of my own. Other than that, every single thing was spot on! We had the loveliest break & I will definitely be booking with holiday wales again - in fact very soon for a winter getaway with my husband for his bday! Thank you for such a lovely stay.

We had an excellent stay at the woodlands view! The pod was very cozy and warm and well equipped for everything we needed! The location is perfect for visiting the Elan Valley! We will absolutely book again!
My family and I loved the short break we had, everything thought about for their guests needs even down to lawn games. We are planning to go back next year. Owner checked in on us to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything which was very thoughtful.

Very impressed with the lodge as soon as we arrived. Cosy and feels homely inside. Top of the range appliances which made it very enjoyable. One thing that would have been nice would be a microwave as with these sorts of stays, we prepared our meals with this expectation. One more thing would be a mat on the floor inside the lodge as it rained while we were there and we ended up having to sacrifice one of our towels from home to avoid wet footprints inside. Overall, would definitely stay again and really enjoyed this. Will be recommending to friends and family.
Lovely stay at the kingfisher- host couldn’t do more - very helpful, decorated the hut including a cake for my girlfriend and offered to be a taxi for us if needed. Was lovely to get away with no signal and chill in lovely surroundings- even the thunderstorms didn’t ruin our weekend. Would go back again. Feedback from girlfriend- send the dogs down to say hello more often :)

Having previously stayed at Lily, we already knew we loved the location and that there are amazing views all around so we decided to try Dafodil, mainly because our two dogs are now getting much bigger! Dafodil was as expected - just wonderful! Lots of space with a fairly large secure garden for the dogs. The hot tub is a treat and the cabin is cosy and calming. We wouldn't change anything about it. This was our third visit and as we have very busy lives, this is the perfect place to switch off and relax, with pubs and shops just a short drive away. We loved staying here, from using the hot tub to the log burner. We loved having the log burner in the hut especially this time of the year. This is the second time we’ve stayed on this site. We love that we can bring our dog too. Would recommend this to everyone, it’s so nice and peaceful.
Fantastic location, beautiful views and everything you need inside. Mattresses super comfy too! It was a lovely bonus of being able to order a hamper as a treat - this was delivered quite later but the team kept in touch and let us know. The only think I’d suggest for improvement is to provide hand rails to assist climbing to the top bunk. Our youngest who is almost 8, couldn’t manage to get up / down independently. Just back from a lovely 2 night stay . Mainly wanted a quiet lazy weekend. The barn is very comfortable and really cosy . Wish we could of stayed longer . Really enjoyed the hot tub . We stayed over the Easter Weekend in Heron, this was our second stay and we loved it as much as the first stay, the tent was clean and the little basket with crisps, drink, welsh cakes and marshmallows was a lovely little touch AND the kids loved the Easter egg in the fridge Our dog came with us and the dog bowls and treats for her were fab. My kids loved watching the lambs, afew times the lambs escaped from the field so they guided them back in which they loved. What a fantastic farmhouse this is for a large group. Totally fulfilled every expectation we had for my 70th birthday with family and friends. Even tho it was a cold month the house was always lovely and warm. The hot tub was a great bonus and we had lots of fun in it, always hot and well maintained. We had the most incredible stay just the two of us and the dog it was so peaceful even though there are other people around. We had fun exploring the local area and different walks we could take whilst also enjoying a lovely pub lunch. Overall we had an amazing time! A lovely cabin, well maintained by very friendly staff. Very rural area, surrounded by nature. It’s really the perfect location for any weather. We scored a 4 for cleanliness due to a shirt left behind the bedside table, dust on the headboard and thick dust in the fan filter in the bedroom. Everything else however was very clean :) Would definitely visit again with my partner.

Stayed 3 nights here and it was a shame we didn’t book for more! Absolutely beautiful place to stay, everything was perfect about it and the added bonus of the hot tub was amazing. The homemade raspberry lemonade was a lovely touch and it was really nice to! The massive enclosed garden was perfect to let your dog/s roam around freely. Absolutely amazing place !! The accommodation is brilliant, never stayed anywhere like it before. Also, having the highland cows in the field in front was a real bonus for my daughter, who loves them !! Would highly recommend it. Only a small downside, only one bathroom and when there is 5 people staying need another toilet !!
If you’re after peace and quiet, this is the place to do it. We needed a break from our very busy lives to re charge our batteries and we certainly did,From the moment we arrived to the time we had to leave. The beds were VERY comfortable, and had the best week’s sleep in a long time. It’s a shame we had to leave, we will be returning in the future.
So we have just stayed at badgers view for 2 night and we found it brilliant! The views were amazing the site was amazing. The bed were comfy it was brilliant. The only disappointing thing was that I n the morning do checkout which is 10am, the kids got up wanting one last go in the hot tub so at 8am, we went out to the hot tub, but it had been switched off. Considering we had 2 hours until check out and we had paid for it with the hot tub until 10am I found this very poor. I’m glad we didn’t pay the extra to have 2 hours more as this would have been a severe disappointment.
Beautiful location with gorgeous views ,great hot tub ,very hot. Only 2 down points the sofa bed (to sit on )was passed it sell by date. Whether it had had a hard life don't know but to sit on it was uncomfortable to say the least. The duvet was too small and thin it would have felt more luxurious to have larger fluffy duvet. Maybe it's just me but instructions to strip your bed and leave it by the door and empty the bin when you're on holiday is not Hotel style
We stayed as a family of 6 and we had a great time. There was enough space for all of us, but a bigger sofa to seat 6 would be better! We squeezed 5 of us on. There was heavy rain before and during our stay and water was dripping intermittently through the ceiling spotlight onto the top bunk, making the bedding damp.
We had a lovely 4 day break. The Lodge was lovely and clean. The twin room was a little small for an adult but otherwise ok. The site was clean and plenty for the kids to do. Only issue we had was the cafe, food wasnt great. They had run out of alot of ingredients but didn't tell us. We had completely different xishes to what we ordered. Staff were polite, but didn't seem to know what they were doing. Could have just been an off day.
