Definitely recommend this property to all,it was clean and had all the facilities you would need for a short break, washing machine, dryer, dish washer and very good wifi. We all throughly enjoyed our stay and are booking again for Christmas. The hosts were excellent and looked after us very well.
Amazing stay at the barn. The decor is absolutely stunning! It is very cosy, has everything you need. They even put up Christmas decorations which was a lovely touch. We brought our dog and the garden was perfect as it was enclosed so perfect when we were chilling in the hot tub. It is nearby to Elam Valley and about 40 minute drive to Hafern Forest. They were very responsive when the internet when down and had it repaired very quickly. We will definitely be back!
Fantastic location, and beautiful lodges with excellent facilities. It was lovely watching the waves from our hottub on the decking!
We have just stayed for a week at bryncylla and we loved every minute!!!! We were celebrating my husbands 40th birthday and it was the perfect setting. The owner is really friendly and welcoming. Gwyneth was so kind and thoughtful, she arranged a balloon and a beautiful welcome pack for us. The views, birds and peaceful environment are wonderful, and experiencing them from the hot tub was the best!! The cottage has everything you would want in regards to the facilities and accessories. We had a wonderful week and there are lovely places to visit nearby, although the cottage itself is en...more
We had an amazing time over the new year, the property is beautifully decorated and really clean. The space worked well as we were three separate families, lovely kitchen and dining area. The cottage had everything you could hope for in a self-catering stay. Nearby there is a shop, and some good pubs for food, all within a short drive. The surrounding area is lovely with countryside walks, and beautiful scenery. A great place for a stay with family.
This is our fourth year of booking with Holiday Wales and our first visit to the Cwm Chwefru Lake Cottages and we will be back!! The cottages were easy to find and the setting is just spectacular - snuggled in the middle of the valley. The accommodation had everything that we needed for our 3 night stay - including a full sized fridge freezer. We are an active bunch and the grounds included a lake to fish in, tennis courts and a swimming pool alongside the beautiful valley to hike through. The location was perfect for switching off and living in the present. Our only disappointment was no loca...more
Absolutely stunning location, very quiet and relaxing which was we wanted. Where the house is the stony beach is minutes away but we walked up about 5/10 mins and found a sandy beach and it was so quiet and felt we were there on our own. The house is beautifully decorated and more than comfortable for a family of five !! Well done
Fantastic property, stunning views, very helpful customer service. Can't complain at all the say was perfect.
Great place for a quiet weekend away with family. The house had everything and was very spacious. The hottub was a great addition. The area was lovely and the views were amazing.
Loved the hot tub was amazing time away for my birthday will definitely will be coming back again soon
Will definitely return again soon , what a gem . Was spotlessly clean and had everything we need for a lovely long weekend. They thought of everything from the hot tub to the wood burner deco to a high standard . Thank you was perfect xx
The lodge was beautiful, clean and we had everything we needed. The hosts were brilliant at keeping in touch to ensure we had the best stay. The location was perfect, very peaceful with plenty to do/visit. Would 100% recommend and visit again!
The most lovely remote place for a stay! Had such a great 2 nights.. will definitely recommend this to all my family! The owners dad was so nice! He popped over at the beginning of our stay and gave us attraction recommendations (which were great). 10/10.
Myself and my 4yr old had a wonderful stay at Tulip. It was clean, and had everything we needed for our short stay. Will definitely return again. Many thanks.
Having stayed in a shepherd hut last year, we booked 2 pods for a family stay and it was as wonderful as the first. The pods had everything we needed and was comfortable and warm. We would definitely stay again.
We found Poppy to be cozy & comfortable, very peaceful, good location to get to places, great secure garden for the dog, probably one of the best. Nice little touches such as dressed for Xmas. And we were left a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate the New Year! We will be back
Amazing stay! Cosy and very clean hut with the essentials. Great location with a short drive to town with local pubs and great outdoor walks.
Lovely little pod, very clean and tidy and stunning views. Hot tub did feel a bit colder than you expect as your quite high up and it was very windy outside and toilet seat was broken on arrival, other than that we had a lovely stay and would 100% rebook in future. Bed was very comfortable and shower was also good. The fresh eggs and milk in the fridge on arrival were a lovely little touch too. Definitely recommend.
Hands down the best venue me and the mrz have stayed in , cant wait to go back again. Roll on next year when we get to go back
We booked to stay on Primrose with my 13 year old and our cockapoo Ralph. From the moment we pulled up it was an utter wow moment. The pod is set in an idyllic part of the country with sheep and cows as neighbours. The pod was very clean and after a 4 hour trip the little touches of milk in the fridge really did make a difference. My son loved the football pitch and got tub and the pod has everything you could need. All the little touches to make your stay comfy are thought about. Loved that the hoover was left as it allowed us to keep the place clean and as we found it. The surrounding ar...more
Lovely place, very clean, cosy. Amazing views. Big secure garden, very quite would definitely recommend.
Fabulous place very well kept. Good service when needed. We had a very comfortable annd a very enjoyable stay.
We booked a two night getaway last minute in the morning and got this gem of a place. It’s amazing, views for miles, hot tub and all the necessities you need and more. The converted horse trailer is amazing, extremely comfortable for us, a family of four with two small dogs. The hosts were very kind & helpful. The grounds were clean and secure. It is really lovely, we will return.
We stayed at the Hayloft with our chidren and grand children for our sons 40th birthday and had a fabulous time. It is a lovely and well equipped house.
This was my first time going y fedwen, I’m so glad we went the pod was lovely and christmassy. It’s great value for money too Will definitely be going back
We had such a lovely stay at honeybee just after new year. The home was cosy and warm despite the snowy weather and everything we needed was provided. Apologies, we did have to sign out of Netflix as it kept blocking us out, saying honeybee was not part of the household. The alpacas were incredibly friendly and were ready and eager for their breakfast each morning. The views were stunning and the owner allowed us a few extra hours at check out as we were snowed in. Very much appreciated!
What an amazing experience. Such a peaceful, beautiful place! The pods were really clean, and you had everything you needed. The owners really do go out of their way to make sure you have the perfect stay. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back again. Definitely recommend to anyone!
What a beautiful location, lovely accommodation, and just a perfect place to have a relaxing break away from it all. Great for dogs with its enclosed driveway and parking. We all loved it, thank you very much!
We loved our stay here - the location was perfect for us! Beautiful views of the sunrise. Everything that we could have needed was already provided, including a lovely hamper of local and homemade treats. Everything was spotlessly clean and worked exactly as it should. Ricky and Jo were fab, really great hosts. My only little bit of feedback is that I found the bed a bit uncomfortable, but this minor and everything was otherwise perfect!
I would recommend this stay to everyone over and over again the cleanliness, attention to detail was perfect it had everything you needed for a stay! Even down to the lovely man who came around in the mornings to put fresh chlorine in the hot tubs totally blown away with how perfect everything was this was our second visit but stayed at another lodge through holidays wales and will definitely be booking again soon thankyou! Alex
This little hut was just perfect for two people. Had everything we needed and more! We would definitely go back again. The hot tub was a great bonus and the views were spectacular! We will be recommending this place to friends and family.
We truly enjoyed our weekend away in the Fern - Beacon View Pod. The pod was very well equipped and cosy. We loved the hot tub and the views. I highly recommend this place for a nice romantic quiet weekend, it's the perfect place to turn off your phones and just enjoy each other and nature.
Fabulous place with fantastic facilities for families with young children including pets. Staff were really friendly and very helpful. Property was beautiful and in a good location. Can’t fault anything 10/10
We throughly enjoyed our stay. We had two dogs & found the garden very secure. Cottage was very well equipped & very clean and tidy. We loved the Christmas decorations, which made it feel very comfortable & homely. Theres nothing within walking distance, so a car is required. Although local amenities are only 5/10 mins drive away.
Valley View was absolutely perfect! We visited during the snow and it couldn't have been more magical. Cosy, remote and scenic! The hot tub looking out over the valley was fantastic. The hobbit hole itself was all you could need. Everything we needed was there for our stay. We had to leave our car down the road due to it not being able to make it up the hill due to the snow and ice but we were given a lift by the farmer who neighbours the property. Not only that the following day Mark, who should teach winter driving courses, coached me through getting my car down the lane to the local vil...more
This is our 2nd visit to tents. We stayed at ‘The Otter’ for 2 nights in July 2025. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Only downside is the amount of flies and wasps but this was to be expected when it’s warm and sunny! Accommodation had fly tape and swatter which helped. Bbq & Hot tub was a great addition to our stay - hot tub is covered by a hedge for added privacy. Toilet facilities cleaned daily but would flood easily due to shower curtain and other guests not using it properly.
The view was picturesque, the pod was beautiful and clean and it will definitely be a place to revisit, we got stuck in the snow whilst there and we had to call the farmer for help which he didn't blink an eyelid, he was our knight in shining armour!, FANTASTIC!!
This is one of the best places we have stayed in Wales. Easy to book and pay for. Excellent accommodation with all necessities at hand. Ideal place to use as a base for touring the Elan Valley.
We loved every aspect of Owl Hollow. Fantastic location next to the farm. Whilst it’s on a working farm, there’s no ‘farm smell’ inside the cabin. In the morning the alpacas / llamas? (Sorry) came to visit us and were very friendly.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Hillside Cabin (Dolfor - 2 adults 1 child) The cabin is cleverly laid out and has everything you need. The site facilities are very good and ideal for a relaxing break. Staff very friendly and considerate. Location around 15-20mins from Newtown which has supermarkets. Will be booking again.
Lovely accomodation and lovely settings very clean and comfortable. The towm is only 10 minutes away lovely place for a quiet drink and meals
We have just returned from spending Christmas here as a family of 6. The property is beautiful. The photos don't do it justice. So spacious, clean and homely. Property is well furnished with everything you could possibly need. The owner was very responsive in the run up to our holiday and throughout. We had a slight problem with the heating during our stay and a plumber was sent out within hours to rectify the issue. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and we will be looking to return in the future.
we stayed at Kestrel cottage 4 adults (friends) and two boys aged 10 and 12 on the 8th December. It was a quiet peaceful place, beautiful scenery and it was an exceptionally clean property to stay in. All the equipment we had the need of was provided. The place was spotless. Very rural but we were happy with that. We had taken dvd’s to use and board games to place. The swimming pool was lovely, sauna was a welcome addition too. We would all return in a heart beat. Great value for money and a perfect place to unwind
Since booking to communicating with the owners and the whole experience in the cabin was simply amazing, would highly recommend it. Very peaceful location and beautiful views over the fields.
What a wonderful quirky place to stay in beautiful surroundings. Rabbit Warren is one of three hobitat homes but they have been thoughtfully designed so each has privacy and amazing views over the countryside. Comfy, clean and warm it was a perfect stay only improved by the homemade chocolate cake thoughtfully left by the owners as a welcome, marshmallows to toast over the fire pit and the gorgeous alpacas outside who really made the stay special. Can’t wait to book another weekend in this special place.
We enjoyed our stay at Bluebell so much! The lodge is perfect and in the most stunning location. If you need anything from the shops they’re only a short drive away. We will definitely choose to stay here again, thank you!
I didn’t know what to expect as this was my first time staying in a pod but as we came over the hill all I could see was the beautiful Christmas lights that were outlining the edge of all the pods. As we pulled up it felt cosy and perfect, away from any distractions, clean and easy to find. Inside was everything we needed, our dog was very happy to and loved roaming around the private garden. Even though it was raining and windy it didn’t stop us enjoying the hot tub with some wine. We can’t wait to book it again! Highly recommend.
Had a lovely stay at Celyn. Booked 2 nights for a relaxing time away and I was not disappointed! The hot tub was ready to go as soon as I arrived and the views and tranquility made it absolutely perfect.
We visited for a mini break in the first few days of 2026, looking for a peaceful location to consume the final cheese and port from Christmas and set up our intentions and plans for the year. The lodge is beautifully set on the site, and feels very luxurious. Underfloor heating and the hottub were invaluable as the snow arrived! A lovely location to explore Elan Valley and the dams, and the recommendation of The Crown Inn was spot on for lunch.
We really enjoyed our stay! The place was clean and cosy. Checking in and out was easy and all the information we needed was provided beforehand. There is a handy guide to use upon arrival about the accomdation and area. It was lovely to be able to have our dogs there and it had plenty of space for them to run around.
This accommodation was great - lovely little house in a very peaceful location, which looks even prettier in the snow! Very clean and has everything you could need. Great location. Will definitely book again
an excellent area for those who love nature, Small but cozy cottage. A microwave would be useful. A barbecue. Personally, I liked it. I will come back.
We had a lovely time staying in the Daisy pod for a few days. Very well designed to maximise space and having the closed off garden was excellent for our dog. The hot tub is slightly exposed to the other gardens but once the bushes have grown a bit , I think it would be more hidden. The only draw-back is the humming noises from the heating/hot tub at night, they can be quite loud at times. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this place and cannot wait to come back.
Just got back from a birthday weekend stay in The Kingfisher and it was absolutely wonderful! The location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery, and the facilities were kept clean. The hot tub was gorgeous, already at 40 degrees when we arrived and checked throughout our stay to keep it perfect. The staff were all lovely and so helpful. We explored Elan Valley, which is only about a 10–15 minute drive from the campsite, and enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast at The Crown in Rhayader. The little welcome hamper of goodies was such a thoughtful touch, and the glamping tent itself had eve...more
We have stayed now 3 times at Mountain View and absolutely loved the place hence returning. Just a few little niggles this time, the trays in the oven didn’t fit which was quite frustrating when trying to cook & the dust and cobwebs were very present unlike the usual pristine state we usually find it in, the little hobbit book had book bugs in there which gave me the itchys (paranoia) It’s not enough to put us of returning though as it really is our slice of heaven.
It was a great property. Peaceful and quiet location; private location not overlooked in the garden, which was lovely. Enjoyed the outdoors due to afew good days' weather, and the hot-tub was excellent. Beds were very comfortable and nice bedding. Having 2 bathrooms worked very well, as it meant my sister could have her own bathroom, and my husband and I the other one. We would not hesitate in staying again if doing a break like that with my sister with her dog. There were afew issues with water/showers when nearby hot-tubs were being filled-up for the next bookings....but when I con...more
Had an amazing time beautiful views good local information provided, very clean would definitely come back again and recommend to people
beautiful place amazing location we will be back, friendly staff. Couldn’t ask for more so cozy comfortable
Absolutely amazing place . The best choice for my husband birthday present. Highly recommended
Beautiful place, very romantic, perfect gateway for anyone who’s taking a break with furry babies. We spent 4 days at sunflower with gorgeous views, privacy and a high standard Equipment! If you looking for plenty of places to do some hiking and exploring combined with evening relaxation in a hot tub and an open fire then don’t hesitate just make your booking!! Worth every penny!
We stayed during February half term at Beacon view barn, our daughter and two teenage granddaughters stayed next door at the same time. The views are amazing and fantastic, especially of hills and sheep. There are many narrow and sometimes steep country lanes all around the location. The lanes are quieter being the location is rural. Beacon View Barn has everything facility wise that you would expect, including an honesty box is case you have forgotten anything (toiletries wise). We took all our food (everything is quite a distance away, including shops) for the mid week that we were the...more
We stay here for 2nights for a birthday celebration! It was a lovely find! Very dog friendly, perfect location for dog walks! The cabin was lovely, hot tub was a lovely touch! Nice to chill out in after long day walking! Definitely will return in the future! John n kerrie very helpful! Sam, Rob n trixie! Xx
What a beautiful stay, with views that were picturesque. Ivy’s way was clean and tidy with the added touch of the lovely sweet treats. (They went down a storm) our four legged companion enjoyed the run around the paddock while me and my fiancé spent quality time in the hot tub and watching the sun set. We plan to come again with more family members in the near future. Thankyou for an relaxing stay
A perfect stay in the gorgeous Welsh countryside.. the hut was really well appointed. Hot tubing with stunning views was the perfect end to days of sightseeing & walking.. was nervous the hut would be cold as we stayed mid December but the heating system was fabulous.. my only negative comment is no rail to hang clothes and no shelving to store bathroom products, however these are very minor issues..
The cabin itself was perfect, enough room for us all, perfect location and clean! It might be worth looking into the issue with flies, it was uncomfortable at times and made preparing food very difficult. We struggled with the outdoor seating as the picnic table was very uneven and we couldn’t even use the table and chairs as they were broken and dangerous. This was disappointing as we had hoped to sit outside to eat and enjoy the sunset. The patio was also very dirty, and slippery when coming out of the hot tup. It might be useful for you to provide separate towels for the hot tub. ...more
Absolutely brilliant. I had a great stay with my family… we are looking to stay again for our anniversary this year.
Panteg is super cosy and perfectly equipped. The location is great too, within walking distance from the main village and has so many other scenic walking routes around. The hot tub was a great addition as it was nice to relax and unwind at the end of the day. The hosts were very welcoming and on hand if you needed anything. Would highly recommend Panteg and will definitely be back in the future.
Excellent as always. Our stay was clean and cosy. Perfect in December. Easy to book with no hassle!!
we enjoyed every moment the view is incredible will be definitely come again. the recommendation was very handy to find great places to eat and visit
What a beautiful stay, cleaned to perfection with some goodies and even a Christmas card when we arrived! Everything was very contemporary but with character and easy to use the facilities. The view was just breathtaking even with the gloomy weather and nearly cried with happiness waking up to highland cows every morning! The hot tub was a fabulous addition and we watched the amazing stars whilst enjoying it. Had a lovely conversation with the man who runs it, didn’t catch his unfortunately, but had a good giggle with him! Taxis were very difficult to get ahold of after we walked the count...more
A beautiful and very clean place! The atmosphere was relaxing, everything was well-maintained, and the staff was friendly. I truly enjoyed my visit and would definitely recommend it.
Lovely stay at the kingfisher- host couldn’t do more - very helpful, decorated the hut including a cake for my girlfriend and offered to be a taxi for us if needed. Was lovely to get away with no signal and chill in lovely surroundings- even the thunderstorms didn’t ruin our weekend. Would go back again. Feedback from girlfriend- send the dogs down to say hello more often :)
We had a weekend perfect stay. The cottage has so much character and style . Perfectly equipped and stunning views
Very impressed with the lodge as soon as we arrived. Cosy and feels homely inside. Top of the range appliances which made it very enjoyable. One thing that would have been nice would be a microwave as with these sorts of stays, we prepared our meals with this expectation. One more thing would be a mat on the floor inside the lodge as it rained while we were there and we ended up having to sacrifice one of our towels from home to avoid wet footprints inside. Overall, would definitely stay again and really enjoyed this. Will be recommending to friends and family.
The accommodation was outstanding with simply the best view. Loved my stay and will be looking to stay again but this time for longer!! Would 10/10 recommend to everyone.
Beautiful place, owners very helpful, very kind, some great walks, disappointed the local pub is closed ! 2 mile walk to pub but around great place to stay…
Lovely place to stay, nice cosy and clean. Would have liked a bigger pot to cook in as it's advertised for sleeping up to 6 people. Would be nice to have a later check out time as standard but I guess that is standard. The only reason a 5 was given for comfort instead of a 6 was that the sofa bed was not great. Overall great stay would definitely return and recommend.
Fantastic little cabin very quiet place to relax in hot tub small park for little ones very polite stuff will be staying again next year.
Great break away with family, lovely location and lodge. Would recommend. Will be returning for sure.
Positives: fabulous setting, wonderful views, large garden gives plenty of outside space, hot tub fab, the cabin is comfortable & mostly has everything you’d need. Negatives: boiler not far from bed so kept me awake all night (I’m a light sleeper). No mirror anywhere. Blinds are useless so don’t expect a dark room when sleeping. Lots of dog poo in the garden, one corner was particularly bad & I called dog poo corner. Plates, bowls & mugs are all tiny!
The pod where we stayed was really cosy with good facilities, great location, good accessibility close to shops, really enjoyed my stay, definitely recommend.
Water was only warm not hot so beautiful bath tub couldn't be used. Wifi wasnt working the first day and a half The qr code to scan for info didnt work and came up with an error. Hot tub chemicals way to strong and ruined partners bikini. Location was amazing and property was very clean.
When we first arrived we were wowed, the bath outside, the hot tub, it looked amazing. Sadly after being there for a few hours the reality of it hit, there was a terrible smell of sheep poo constant, making you not really want to go outside. The outside bath was completely damaged therefore unable to be used. - which is very disappointing given this was probably one of the selling points. The indoor shower would go from freezing cold to scalding hot without any warning. My son really burnt himself. There were flies everywhere, the room itself was covered in sticky fly catchers. - all of this i...more
This was our second stay at marches way, and once again it was an fantastic break away, they had made some pleasant changes to the shepherds hut, including a rope border around the decking, smaller mesh on the gate across the green, which was especially good for our two little dogs, and also some good clear instructions for the hot tub, which was lovely and hot upon arrival and stayed that way through out the entire holiday. Also a special thanks for accommodating our early checking request and late check out. We will definitely be back again, and would highly recommend to anyone that apprecia...more
Stayed at the Rheadr site in January. The weather had been snowing therefore the conditions of the ramp up to the lodge was very icy and slippery - would be dangerous for anyone a little older/fragile. The accommodation itself was clean and comfortable on the whole. The sofa bed in the lounge area wasn't as comfy as the other beds but was ok. There wasn't much fairy liquid in the pod - had finished on the second day which was a little annoying. The snow and ice hadn't melted enough for us to drive to get anymore from anywhere and only 2 toilet rolls for the duration. Other than those...more
What a fantastic farmhouse this is for a large group. Totally fulfilled every expectation we had for my 70th birthday with family and friends. Even tho it was a cold month the house was always lovely and warm. The hot tub was a great bonus and we had lots of fun in it, always hot and well maintained. Recommend this lovely venue for a large gathering
Really enjoyed our stay here. Super quality and comfortable. Gorgeous cabin exactly as described. Will definatly be back to stay again in more accomadation on site. However, we did get disturbed sleep from an electrical/water noise at the rear of the pod which happened to be right beside the bed and was noisey all through the day/night. Thanks!
This was the third time I'd visited, each time staying in a different accommodation type. This time, as there were 5 of us and the dog, we chose Foxes View and wow, we weren't disappointed. Fabulous views, immaculate accommodation and plenty of room for all of us. The location is out of the main town but only a short drive away. Perfect if you want to be out of the way but close enough to pop to the shops. We will definitely be visiting again because of how special this place is.
We had THE best Christmas in rabbits view. We were here in the summer and the kids begged us to book it for Christmas( doesn’t always happen with 9yrs/12yrs &15yrs!) The cosiest, comfiest place ever. The hobbit houses have a very special feel to them you get a bit of a fuzzy feeling on arrival! The Christmas lights on the outside were gorgeous, we spotted them coming up the road. Rhayder and the Elan valley are stunning, amazing to visit summer or winter. The boys loved being out there on their bikes. We CANNOT wait to come back, already looking at dates! Holds a special place in our h...more
The Heather pod was just as expected, very clean with all the amenities needed for a short stay. The scenery was beautiful and it’s in a really quiet rural spot which is just what we wanted and there were plenty of places to go walking so the hot tub was perfect afterwards!
We had a wonderful stay in January. The property was gorgeous, unique, and incredibly cosy. Enjoying the hot tub while it snowed was magical, and the clear night skies gave us amazing views of the stars. We loved the peaceful walks and beautiful surroundings. It’s very well equipped, especially the kitchen, and perfect for families with kids. Highly recommend!
Absolutely loved our stay located at a Beautiful farm , stunning views very lovely lodge would definitely come back!!!x
Lovely modern lodge in a beautiful surrounding of all the mountains, creating a peaceful stay. Lovely hamper left of crisps, marshmallows and a bottle of lemonade (ideal for just 1 person though). Plenty of plug sockets throughout. However, never met the owners at all during the stay, no communication from themselves to ensure everything was okay checking in etc. Made contact regarding hot tub as it became unbearably hot and was simply told to take lid off for half hour before, bluntly. (didnt work as the hot tub was set on maximum to keep heating up and there was no adnusting control panel)...more
Arrived at the lodge which was decorated for christmas! The views were stunning from the lodge. It was immaculate when we arrived. Came with all of the essentials, rooms were clean, towels provided! I would recommend to anyone I speak too. Will definitely be returning in the near future!
We were really disappointed with our recent stay. We arrived to find the hot tub green, with visible scum around the edges. Having paid for early check-in, it was frustrating that we couldn’t use what we’d paid extra for. Overall, the standard seems to have declined since our last visit. There was no welcoming gift basket with Welsh cakes this time — just a few crisps and a single drink. The lights in the tent hang too low, and it’s easy to bump your head on them. Kitchen storage is very limited, which makes cooking and food preparation difficult, and the freezer door was broken. The sof...more
We loved our stay here, the remote location was perfect for us, peaceful yet only a short drive to shops if needed. The highlight was definitely the night sky, being able to sit in the hot tub under the stars and even see the Milky Way was incredible! The place had almost everything we needed (there was no salt on arrival), and it was warm and cosy, which made it really relaxing. That said, there are a few things that could be improved. Cleanliness wasn’t quite up to the standard we’d expect for the price, for example, we noticed lots of dead flies under the blinds and some leftover facial ...more
The perfect place to escape to enjoy the peace and quiet, set in the rolling green hillside. Everything you need for a self chartering get away! Would highly recommend.
Lovely stay over Christmas, welcomed to a lovely hamper with refreshments. Views are beautiful & the lodge is very modern- only downside was theres no folding chairs to utalise the dining table.
The pros - The hut was very well organised and equipped with everything you needed. The views and location were amazing. The cons - The hut was very dirty and needed a good clean. There was a spiders nest in the pull out bed, and dirt and hairs all down the side. The bed had missing slats and mouldy underneath the mattress. The filter in the hot tub needed replacing as it smelt damp. If it was cleaned I would recommend to others.
We booked this place for our Christmas holiday for £1000+. We had it booked for over a year and were really excited but our excitement was dulled almost immediately after arriving. The owners communication was very abrupt before & during stay which made me feel like I was being watched the whole time and was walking on eggshells as I was just worried I’d upset them somehow- For example: towards the end of our stay my goddaughter accidentally knocked a plate off the side so I swiftly messaged the owners to make them aware and offered to send them the money there and then. They read my message a...more
We had a lovely 4 day break. The Lodge was lovely and clean. The twin room was a little small for an adult but otherwise ok. The site was clean and plenty for the kids to do. Only issue we had was the cafe, food wasnt great. They had run out of alot of ingredients but didn't tell us. We had completely different xishes to what we ordered. Staff were polite, but didn't seem to know what they were doing. Could have just been an off day.
