If you like delving deep into history, soaking up the finest culture, exploring beautiful countryside – or adrenaline-fuelled mountain biking – you’ll love a day at Drumlanrig Castle, and now you can stay there too!
The East Wing was wonderful on so many levels.
The Estate staff were exceptionally accommodating & communication was excellent. I had all the necessary information ahead of my stay. The complimentary chocolate and Drumlanrig gin was well received!
The apartment is beautiful & aesthetically very pleasing, having been finished to a very high standard.

Lovely house with quality fixtures and fittings.
All bedrooms have tvs and have very comfortable beds and good linens.
Everything you need in kitchen available plus BBQ
Fabulous hot tub but best of all is the privacy and the stunning views that surround the house. Would highly recommend
Laundry Cottage is beautiful. The bed was very comfortable with lavish furnishings. We enjoyed the welcome pack of coffee, chocolate, chutney, sloe gin & Turkish delight - what a treat?! The location on the Drumlanrig Estate is stunning with lots of walking in all directions. We appreciated the fully enclosed garden for keeping our dog in & it was large enough to throw a ball for him. All the staff we encountered were so helpful & cheerful. Thank you Gillian & the team
The cottage is beautifully designed with everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. With the estate right outside the front door, we were able to enjoy miles of walks right on our doorstep. A lovely location all round to unwind and enjoy. We will definitely be returning!
Its was a pleasure to come and stay in the accommodation at Drumlanrig Estate, Mains Cottage, the facilities are simply excellent and staff working there are so helpful, looking forward to coming back soon, always a first choice for us.
