We recently stayed in Barn cottage on the Wooladon estate l can not recommend this place more highly . The luxurious cottage and its stunningly beautiful surroundings make it the most perfect retreat. We’ve stayed before and we will again.
Wooladon was wonderfully spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped, and generally excellent accommodation. It is set in a beautiful countryside with excellent walks within the estate (free to roam), and despite being a working farm it still felt very private. We met Kate who managed the lettings and Shona who manages the cleaning team - both lovely, friendly, and very responsive in wishing our stay was perfect, as it was. Great cottage, brilliant location, even better as you can walk up to the farm shop and restaurant for breakfast etc, The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Kate, as she remembered us from Christmas with such a warm welcome. The grounds at present are muddy but still walkable. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need for a week or two. Definitely will be returning
We had a very comfortable relaxing 4 nights in Gatherley View. What a gorgeous place with everything we needed and more. The bed was extremely comfortable with lovely duvet and pillows. Beautiful surroundings and walks. Excellent location for visiting Devon and Cornwall. Had a very nice breakfast at Strawberry Fields and it was so nice we were able to take our dog into the garden room. We will definitely be returning to stay here. Highly recommend.
We had a fabulous stay at Pheasant Barn . The barn was lovely and clean and warm and really delightful.The staff were exceptional and so friendly easy going and accommodating . The dogs loved it plenty of walks and really dog friendly and the farm shop was a real treat so nearby. All in all a great time was had we will return. Thanks once again.
The rookery was a little ‘tired’ mould in showers, felt damp until we put heating up. Welcome pack 2days late. Location lovely. £800.00 for 4 nights a bit steep considering we had to strip our own beds and put rubbish out.
