We stayed at Boxsteddle in early July, just as lockdown restrictions were being lifted in England; I honestly can't think of a nicer place to enjoy a 'change of scene'. The location is ideal, with Portsmouth, Chichester Harbour and the South Coast all within an easy drive. We spent our last day walking the ~9 miles around Thorney Island, which was lovely. The property is beautiful; well equipped (we particularly enjoyed making use of the BBQ), extremely clean and felt very 'safe' in the current pandemic. We wanted to escape the city for a long weekend, somewhere beautiful, tranquil and lovely. Wow, did we find that and more! From arrival through to departure we were not disappointed once, it is absolute bliss at Barrow Hill Barns and we are already planning on when we could next visit!
Beautiful Barnes , would highly recommend. Lovely place to explore with lots of great pubs and walks
Great location, peaceful, helped by outstanding late summer sun. Very well equipped, with good quality appliances and kitchen bits n bobs. Very comfy bed and bedding, Great shower, plenty powerful and again good quality shower gels etc. Our only downer was that the toilet brushes were not pleasant, rusty around the handles/brushes, which made them look worse than they actually were. (Very minor critique ) Would we stay again...... Ohhhh most definitely
We had a wonderful stay in Long Meadow. Lots of great points, the view - sky and fields as far as you can see, the lovely shower rooms and wonderfully crisp and comfy beds, and the nice open plan living. Only downside was having to leave!
This is our second stay at this property and it will not be the last. We were able to take our 3 labradors with us and they enjoyed it as much as we did. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and relaxing
This was our second stay and we expect to return in the future. What better recommendation is there?
