The valley barn was a perfect property and location for a Christmas gathering for my wife and I and our 3 kids and their spouses. The property is of a very good standard with fantastic en-suite bedrooms. The main living area was perfect for gathering and playing games, long meals and late nights. We went for long walks most days including to a few of the local pubs. Fantastic.
The Treehouse was an absolutely wonderful stay. The main highlights were the bath, the skylights and just the absolute tranquility outside. A lovely place to unwind and enjoy a coffee in the morning. There are lots of nice walks and pubs nearby too. It's close to the A3 making it easy to access, but there is absolutely ZERO road noise. Would recommend to anyone looking for a few nights away to recharge!
The accommodation was great, it was a wonderful place to stay and an ideal location for the 4 of us walking The South Down Way. We would have liked to stay longer. The tea, coffee, milk and sugar was a lovely touch and really appreciated. the quality of the bed linen was superb and beds very comfortable. The place was almost spotless. I can imagine how wonderful it would be in the summer with all the doors open. 1 small item needs looking at. The shower head in the second bathroom is leaking out the side, not an issue for us but I'm sure you'd like to know.
Longhorn was just what we needed. The actual setting is stunning and the only reason I have given a 4⭐️ is because there were no pubs within walking distance (I’m sure in the summer it would be fine but it’s fairly rural so didn’t fancy trying to find one in the dark on narrow roads!). We drove to one which only took about 5 minutes and had a lovely meal. It was so peaceful and we loved seeing the deer bouncing across the fields. All the information given was really helpful and the lodge is well equipped. We would definitely return and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting.
Customer Service was dealt with by our daughter Nicola Spence who lives in East Meon and this enabled us to see them over the Christmas period. Our other daughter and her husband joined us for the last two nights. We felt that the dining table looked shabby and a table cover would make it look more attractive. We understand and accept that prices are high over the Christmas period
Beautiful barn conversion in a beautiful place. Highly appointed with lots of luxury touches. Will visit again.
Just returned from a long weekend early family Christmas weekend staying at the Pump Meadow barn. The accommodation exceeded our expectations, spacious rooms, extremely well equipped ( the kitchen had everything needed to cook a full Christmas dinner!) and well appointed. There are some lovely country walks from your doorstep and it’s only a short drive into Winchester or Gunwharf . Would 100% recommend.
We rented Redgates to have some extra room for our family Christmas, which was based out of the Valley Barn (separate review). Redgates is of the same fantastic quality as Valley Barn. Super convenient for us and all worked out better than we coudl have imagined. Great place to base yourself if you want to go on long walks to the local pubs etc.
Have stayed here many times, it’s a home from home feel, terrific as always. Well equipped, super clean and comfortable. Thank you
We booked for my son and his family for Christmas week, it worked perfectly and they absolutely loved it! Plenty of space for the grandsons and beautifully appointed - glorious views to wake up to! A really exceptional place. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch and much appreciated. (The only tiny niggle was a curious noise in the night which my son thought was probably something to do with the heating. It didn’t continue for long but woke up anyone sleeping in the second bedroom.)
This is our sixth break at the Barns ,both with friends and on our own over the past few years. Also taking both dogs, which is a plus.Barns are comfortable, clean and well looked after. The area is great for walks and quiet.Petersfield and Alresford are easy to reach if you need shops etc. We've tried Restaurants and pubs at East Meon,West Meon and Exton a few miles away.Enjoyed the breaks more as we have got older.
Perfect get away to get off grid and just chill out. Cabin had just about everything you would need.
