A group of 34 of us spent the weekend at Tom's Eco Lodges to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was fabulous. It absolutely lived up to the high expectations we had. The lodges were warm and dry in the rain (with the help of the wood-fired oven and electric blankets), the hot tubs were much appreciated, and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I can't find a single negative thing to say!
My son and I stayed at no 2 cottage for 5 nights. It has beautiful views of wheatfields, and although by a main road, we couldn't hear the cars. The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped and the living room has comfortable sofas. It is tastefully decorated and a relaxing place to stay, in an excellent location and with all the facilities of Tapnell Farm. We especially loved the Aqua Park and the food was fantastic at the Cow Restaurant.
We were saved by Chloe as she squeezed us in for the last 5 days of our 14 day holiday on the island. We wished we had found this place earlier! The house was beautiful, brand new, with a lovely kitchen and everything we could wish for. Perhaps a bigger TV if I was being really picky? The farm park was the icing on the cake, my 7 year old adored it, especially the zip wire, jumping pillows and the sledges. It was all so clean and well laid out with great coffee too! The Cow serves good food, we ate there twice, once with friends. My teenagers were desperate to try Aqualand but it wasn’t quite...more
Amazing place to stay with a group of girlfriends. Chloe and the team were very helpful in the lead up to our stay. Very comfy beds and great showers.
We had a great time at the dome despite the rain! It had all the amenities we needed with very cosy furniture. The farm was very helpful with anything we needed and we couldn't have asked for a better stay!
We stayed in the Dome Meadow for 4 nights with our two young children. The whole experience was wonderful, from the dome itself, with its four poster bed and panoramic window, to the spectacular location - it's hard to beat waking up to views of rolling countryside and the distant sea, and the sun sets are magical. The shower/toilet blocks were clean and well thought through, with facilities allocated to each dome. The farm itself was great and the Cow does a great burger. We will be back.
We stayed here as a family of five with older children (2x teens& a 20 year old) and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We are not natural campers but fancied an outdoor-sy break so we chose one of the wood cabins. The cabin was immaculate and as a cautious family in these covid-aware times it was extremely reassuring that Tapnell farm are taking this aspect very seriously. Well-equipped with a lovely deck with a bbq that we used nearly every night. While we didnt use the play park as my children were older, I can see why this aspect of the farm would be amazing for families with little ones...more
Our stay was brilliant. The facilities were just perfect - everything we needed to a very high spec. The view from the dome over the meadows is just amazing - such a perfect spot. Also, the service we received was impeccable - nothing was too much - from changing ferry bookings last minute to recommendations to getting us a go on the aquapark. We will definitely be back!
We had a lovely relaxing visit. The Dome was brilliant, it had everything we needed and the children had a great time.
Another fantastic stay at Tom's eco lodges. I stayed for the first time 6 years ago with a group of friends and after such a great stay I decided to return but this time with my young family. The safari tents and the site itself are absolutely fantastic and suited both types of stays so well. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and inviting whilst also giving that great outdoors and camping experience (with the added bonus of warm showers, toilets and cooking facilities). There are so many lovely touches on the site, from the honesty stop, the outdoor pizza oven, the fire pits and the opti...more
Great place for a relaxing weekend - good food, stylish accommodation, wonderful walking along the Tapnell Trail and Tennyson Down and probably the best view on the island. One of our favourite places.
My family and I stayed this summer and had a thoroughly wonderful stay. We couldn’t have asked for more. The cottage was clean and well equipped. We will definitely be back again.
As a regular visitor to Tapnell, it continues to impress with the amazing facilities, accommodation and excellent customer care, that seems to progress each year. The facilities are fabulous for all the family and dogs and the relaxed nature allows for a really enjoyable stay. Highly recommend.
The dome is well equipped and definitely a luxurious glamping option. The site can be windy at times, but we had glorious weather and the views down to the coast were stunning. On a clear night the stars are beautiful too. Travelling with a toddler, we did bring some extra things with us such as a bed guard and potty. Tapnell Farm provided a high chair. I think in winter time I would have been nervous to light the wood stove inside as there is no fire guard. We waited until after toddler bedtime to light the firepit outside. Great that all wood and firelighters was provided and we didn’t ne...more
The site is very picturesque, the tent is clean, comfortable and give excellent space. I will definitely return again as they give fantastic customer service
We where lucky to be able to get the fire going and drink a bottle of wine as the sun cone down every evening Great place to stay and relax. Enjoyed the trail, that took us to some great sights and and pubs The tent had everything we needed and more.
We had an amazing weekend staying at Tapnel in the safari tents. Chloe was exceptional in her communication with us as guests. Accommodation was perfect as was the location. Absolutely faultless in every way a perfect place to stay and relax and enjoy the countryside.
We stayed for one night in the eco-pod, everything was superb! I can't fault it and will recommend..
Fantastic stay on Tapnell Farm in the Modulog Cabin. Excellent service from the team with plenty of information prior to check-in. Setting is incredible with views across the hills of IOW, farmland etc. Facilities on the farm which include the park farm, the cow restaurant are a really high-standard, COVID-Secure and reasonably priced. The Modulog was clean, tidy and accommodated for every need. The team at Toms Eco Lodge were extremely helpful if we needed anything and always provided a quick response. The lodge was perfect for us as a couple but would easily work for friends/ families etc...more
Tapnell Manor was a really fantastic house to stay in. The rooms were decorated beautifully, the grounds were a joy (despite the rain) and the location was second to none. We will certainly be back!
The guys at Tapnell have been great at supporting us through this COVID nightmare and a big shout out to Jim & Chloe for all they have done for us (and the endless emails!) we had a great stay, everyone really enjoyed themselves. The venue is great and we will be looking to come back to visit again soon. We know they have invested a lot across the park and we are looking forward to seeing the venue progress. Communication & instructions for property all left out ready for us on the day, email/text support was fab too! Only negative feedback is really niggly (and not something that would...more
We loved our week in our pod. It was relaxing, we had amazing views and reality felt very far away! The one downside was the mosquitos, you couldn’t have any windows open in the evening unless you wanted some friends at night! The marks on the walls/ceiling suggested others had had the same issue! It would be great if there were some nets on the windows so you could relax a little more.
4 of us stayed at Poachers Perch for a long weekend and I have to say it's a lovely place. The cabin itself is nice and cosy and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were great and very knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend staying at Poachers Perch or looking at the other accommodation provided as there's something for everyone. I will certainly look at visiting again in the near future.
Dairymans Cottage is very well situated on Tapnell Farm, which is close to both Yarmouth ferry terminal and to Freshwater Bay - a beautiful beach with calm seas. The cottage has good accommodation, with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms/shower rooms, all recently renovated and decorated. Chloe and the staff are very helpful and responsive and the whole trip was well organised for us. Two comments : — the central heating wasn’t working and it was chilly at night — The loo downstairs had a poor flush and couldn’t easily be used
We very much enjoyed our holiday at Tapnell Farm, used the location for our fall out base for walks in the area. However, we did feel that it is quite pricey for the actual accommodation. The accommodation is advertised as "luxury", but is really relatively basic. The hot tub is nice, but takes 1.5 hours to fill up so needs to be planned. The fire pit was very pleasant to sit by in the evenings. Also, at the price that is charged, a visit to the attractions could be included or a discount for the restaurant. A good idea may be to put screens in front of the bedroom windows so that the windows ...more
