We adored staying at The Snug! It was the perfect accommodation for myself, my husband and our small dog. Beautifully furnished and comfortable whilst maintaining a relaxing back-to-nature vibe. It has great facilities with a well kitted out kitchen and strong shower. Lovely walk across the fields to The Cow restaurant for dinner. Great location as a base to explore the island.

The Snug was clean and well stocked.
However, it was unbearably hot, with just a table fan provided. We were warned about mosquitoes, so I brought lots of repellent etc but got bitten very badly. For the price we paid, felt that it should have had some form of air con. Would not recommend for summer months

The snug was very comfortable and has everything you need, only thing missing is air conditioning! Apart from that it was lovely, bed was very comfortable, kitchen was properly equipped. Toilet and shower was very modern and clean. Overall 8/10 stay, only issues we had was the heat and the mosquitos, but the accommodation is on a farm so it’s understandable that there will be mozzies!

Booked the snug as attending wedding at east afton farm. So convenient and a lovely secluded spot. Communication and information pre trip from Chloe was superb and all my questions and requests were sorted quickly. Great accommodation with everything you need - love the rings on the wall to hang clothes. Very warm and cosy with nice bathroom and plenty of tea and coffee. Perfect for a short break, was tight for space but lovely to escape life for a few days and perfect if attending a function there. Would recommend

The snug was clean and more than adequate for its purpose. Good shower and kitchen facilities, with a double bed. It had been freshly painted, so looked very new, although there was a slight lingering smell of paint - not a major issue. Heater in room more than heats the room when required.

The Snug at Tapnell Farm is a great place for a single or couple wanting a weekend away, within driving distance of all the great sights to see on the Isle of Wight.
It is just as the name suggests, snug, but very comfy and warm, and even though I didn't use any of the outdoor facilities as it was freezing and I was attending a wedding, it looked like it would be a great place to sit out on an evening having a bbq.
It's very quiet, surrounded by fields full of pheasants with a compact and bijou bathroom, small kitchen with everything you need for a short break and the clear night sky is amazing from there.
I'll definitely be booking in again if visiting the island.

The only problem was the path to the snug was muddy and not suitable for purpose as the stones just had disappeared into the soil.had to walk off into the grass. Could do with extra gravel in areas or proper concrete path .solid path . . And perhaps more mats for wiping boots.shoes etc storage for boots out on the deck..

We stayed here for one night in January as a present for my boyfriend, the place overall was tidy however the place could do with some TLC and a good deep clean. Other than minor details we enjoyed our stay, the bed was very comfortable and the place was warm when we arrived.

A product not ideally suited for a wedding venue occupancy. Insufficient hanging storage. Shower room badly equipped. Nowhere to dry towels. Vanity mirror blocks sink making both difficult to use. No storage to put bathroom essentials. No storage for a suitcase or 2. Mattress needs replacing on bed.
Great views and if you are into rustic it is ideal. solution in the bathroom in my opinion would be to have corner shelves above the toilet, a flat mirror above the sink and some hooks to hang towels . Remove pendant light above breakfast bar as to low as you hit your head on it constantly and is not required due to the amount of down lights in the space.

We had a great time. Exactly what we wanted to escape the day to day. Peaceful, quiet and comfortable. Great communication at all times from Tapnell park. And the breakfast hamper was superb.

Only thing I would say is the ferry crossing prices from Lymington could impact rerun visit. Not Tapnell farms fault but a factor to consider.

Myself and my (now!) husband stayed in the snug away from the main house for our wedding
We LOVED it!
It was comfortable and a had all the facilities you may need including milk in the fridge!
Only thing to note was it could do with a blind in the toilet, im not sure you could be seen but anyone visiting the facilities for the piglets but it does lead you to feel a bit exposed when getting out of the shower.
Although this certainly wont mean we wont stay again, it was PERFECT!!

We stayed at The Snug for two nights as wedding guests. It is set in a beautiful location and is great for a glamping experience with all the basics. Some small improvements could be made, for example, there are no towel hooks in the bathroom, so the only place to put your towel is on the floor or in the basin. The outside lighting is also pretty poor, making it hard to navigate back in the dark. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the fire pit, but the cabin was equipped with everything you would need to build a fire and enjoy the evening in a very tranquil setting!

We love The Snug! It has everything you need, it’s furnished beautifully, wonderful shower, good heating and very quiet. It has everything for a very comfortable stay and it’s nice to have the outside area. We also ate at their restaurant and highly recommend the burgers, great service too. The lady who dealt with this booking was so helpful and accommodating to our request for a late check out which was so appreciated! We will definitely stay again.

If you like stargazing, visiting the western parts of the Isle of Wight, and spending time with a loved one (or by yourself), The Snug is perfectly situated for all three. The Isle of Wight, on a clear night, is far enough away from light pollution to see the stars and the Milky Way. It's also perfect for spending a close evening with a loved one

We had a lovely stay at the snug for a wedding which was helped by the good weather .
The snug itself is very small although efficient.
My only criticism would be no hooks to hang anything. Nowhere to put towels in the bathroom. There was absolutely nowhere to put our cases so we had them on the kitchen top or on the bed !
Not enough plugs . Luckily my hairdryer and straighteners had long leads . Nowhere to put a drink or book by the side of the bed just a little shelf would had been good .
Loved all the funky lights .
Would I stay there again ? Probably no because of lack of somewhere to sit comfortably and just no space

We had originally booked the wrong room type for our family size and the team at Tapnell especially Chloe, could not have been kinder and more helpful. We had an idyllic stay at The Snug, listening to the mice in the field, watching buzzards swoop and the super moon's arrival, all in the privacy of our own tiny house with all we could need for a somewhat "off the grid" night before we embarked on a big group holiday elsewhere on the island. We have stayed at Tom's Eco Lodge before in a Pod and loved it and will absolutely be back to try a different accommodation next year. We can't get enough!

We had a beautiful stay for my partners 30th. We booked the snug just outside of summer holiday season and had a delightful two days. Firstly, the booking process was super easy, Tapnell team are very helpful and all extra activities are easy to book online, plus they helped decorate our place to surprise my partner. Once we arrived, the farm had everything we needed and more. Favourite activities: collecting fresh eggs each morning, creating a picnic with farm shop goods, archery lessons (not just for the kids), trail walk back to our private snug, quality dinner at the cow restaurant and playing games at the club house.

Things i wish I knew for next time: it gets very hot in the snug, especially on sunny days. Thankfully we bought a fan so we had one each(one is provided), but be aware there is no air con so shut the blinds and pray for a light breeze. (Maybe provide a bed sheet, as-well as a duvet during the summer months) Bring your insect repellent, I wanted to hang out in the evenings outside but wish I bought some mosquito repellent candles etc. maybe a farm shop product in the future? Farm stock is low for breakfast goods, I should have bit the bullet and purchased a hamper. The cow restaurant only has ice cream for dessert (nothing wrong with that) but definitely buy the s'mores kit before they close for the day at the farm shop if you have a sweet tooth and looking for something different.

We will definitely be back, looks like it's a place to go to all year round.

Brilliant location, ideal for a couple of nights stay, tricky for longer due to lack of storage for belongings- no shelves and little space for clothing.
Bathroom is lacking a place to hang towels/clothes and only one tiny ‘shelf’ as part of a mirror. (No where to hang wet towels). Paying for the scenery rather than the venue.

Overall our stay at The Snug was lovely. We attended a wedding at East Afton Farmhouse so the location was great. We really appreciated being able to check in early - that made a big difference to our stay. When an item on the inventory was missing someone rectified this very quickly. All great. The only points we wanted to raise were that a raised or pathed pathway to the Snug might be something to think about for the future? As it poured with rain the grass walkway and the small stone one past the Piglets were flooded and we got very soggy feet! People that stay there may be coming for a wedding like us and therefore not necessarily prepared with wellies! I would also just add that 10am does feel very early to check out - particularly if we had only been able to check in at 4pm the night before. The final point was that in the guide there is a suggestion that the guests should remove bedding, take out bins and wash up etc. Whilst of course we would always leave any accommodation respectfully when you are charging guests hundreds of pounds for a stay I don't think this can be a reasonable part of the expectation.

We stayed in the Snug prior to the wedding showcase at East Afton Farmhouse. Even though there were guests nearby, it felt to private and lovely.

It had everything you’d want for a weekend getaway, we loved cooking on the barbecue and making breakfast in the small kitchen.

Fun for us to stay on the actual site of the Isle of Wight Festival and recall memories of youthful abandon! This time we had a proper bed and creature comforts within the Snug. Once again, we were blessed with good weather and thoroughly enjoyed revisiting the island. Although our stay was remote from the Tapnell Farm complex, we took time to explore the activities on offer and have a meal at the Cow restaurant (yes, their burgers do live up to the hype). There are excellent facilities for children/families, well organised and staffed with friendly faces (we'll be recommending it for our own grandchildren).
It being the end of season, we were fortunate in having the area to ourselves, the nearby Piggeries being unoccupied during our stay. We can imagine that it would not be such an ideal location with holidaymakers from the Piggeries traipsing past back and forth to their toilet block next to the Snug.
The Snug lives up to its name, with space at a premium – had the bed (although undoubtedly a feat of metalwork) been built-in across the cabin, it would have afforded a few extra square feet of floorspace. The shower area could definitely have benefitted from hooks/pegs to hang towels/clothes. The switching of the bedside lights did not allow for independent use – a minor irritant. There's a fridge, kettle and toaster, otherwise cooking facilities are limited to a small microwave – unless the BBQ is put to use (firelighters and charcoal are thoughtfully provided). As we chose to eat out at the variety of pubs/restaurants/cafes on the island, the lack of a hob was not an issue for us.
All in all, the accommodation worked perfectly for us and we were delighted with our stay – many thanks to Chloe and the staff at Tapnells!

My husband and I were on the Isle of Wight for a wedding at East Afton Farmhouse and stayed at The Snug for two nights. It was perfectly located, exactly as advertised and really tidy and clean.

Tom, Chloe and the team sent super helpful instructions ahead of our stay including driving routes etc. and we were made to feel very welcome.

I was really impressed with the accommodation - the team had thought of everything that we needed for a self-catering stay (there were tea towels and kitchen roll!).

If I had any feedback, it would be for a few hooks to be put up in the bathroom for towels :)

The Snug is definitely “snug”, there is not a lot of room for two people, so I would travel light. That said I really enjoyed my overnight stay, the bed was extremely comfy, the little kitchen was well stocked, the shower was great. The views are fantastic. The customer service is fantastic.

As the name suggests this accommodation is a little cramped, Ideal for one night stay but no longer as there is nowhere to hang clothes or put suitcases. There is also no hooks to hang coats or jackets. It is a little cramped. The bed was unusual and needs a bedside cabinet or shelf to put personal belongings on when going to bed. The string is really nice but we visited in very wet conditions on a very rainy and wet day. Kitchen facilities were fine and welcome pack was good.

Our stay at the snug was excellent, perfect place to stay for a wedding at the farm. It had everything we needed and even with the colder weather it was still very comfortable and warm

Excellent value for money. Easy check in and even easier check out. No hassle, no awkwardness just an easy stress free pleasant stay with all your essentials and extras. The only problem is we couldn’t stay longer. Deffo be back
