Perfect every time. Love Tapnell and the island. Will be back soon. Farm park, aqua park, padel, walking, beaches... so much to do
Great house for our group and such a bonus to be next to Tapnell farm with all the facilities and such a beautiful location- we will definitely Italy be back!
Perfect. Nothing can describe this beautiful venue and it's amazing staff any better. Chloe, Mel and Lisa were THE BEST and most amazing co-ordinators, who carefully looked after us as the Bride and Groom from the minute we booked, up until the day after the wedding. Every little thing was never too much, they bent over backwards to make sure our day was perfect, they made us feel comfortable and secure throughout this process, they felt like family. The venue itself is unbelievable, guests were in awe of the beautiful buildings and barns, the decor, the courtyard, lawn, house, etc all was so ...more
We had a lovely stay at dome 4 Highly recommend it was such a good space and well equipped. Dishwasher was a real bonus and the wheelbarrows to transport luggage were a god send! You wouldn’t want to be without the electric blankets as it does get chilly!
We all loved it. Thank you. Clean, fun and so much space. Charming cabins and lots to do. Cow was delicious and we loved the camp fire
Great location, and very clean property with all the amenities you need - perfect for any family. I have scored value for money down as the cost of the accommodation is on the higher side and does not include full access to the farm. Full Tapnell farm access for the duration of the stay should be included, or an optional donation for entry.
I had an absolutely amazing solo stay in Piglet No4 & I’m looking forward to returning with my husband. The upcycled animal arc was beautifully styled with a super comfy mattress & lovely quality bedding. The very spacious bathroom exceeded my expectations & the fact you had a whole one to each piglet was wonderful. Cleanliness of the sty & bathroom was superb. Everything required was provided including firelighters, charcoal, matches & utensils for the BBQ & a pint of fresh milk in the fridge to make a cuppa on arrival. Thank you for a lovely stay!
East Afton farmhouse is a wonderful place to stay with family or friends. We were a group of four families and we were blown away by teverything the farmhouse and annex had to offer. It is luxurious but homely at the same time, a beautiful warm and cosy famhouse in a wild and wonderful setting. We stayed over New Year and enjoyed wild walks in the hills, the huge waves on the beaches and lunch at The Cow restaurant. There are cows on site which the kids loved, the cinema room is an absolute winner and the selection of coffees, chutneys and snacks on arrival was a lovely welcome. A word too for...more
Such a beautiful setting, lovely to find milk, kettle and crockery, really everything you need and the chairs outside to relax on, however I found the night too hot in such a small space even with the window open and was glad to find the fan there which we had on all night, eventually sleeping with the door open. Super bathroom really large, clean and modern just a short walk away. Perhaps a stay in winter would have been cosy. In the morning wanted breakfast at the Cow, by then a group of 4 of us, and walked there but they didn't do breakfast so we walked back disappointed. A lovely stay o...more
Thank you for having us. The dome and its setting were fantastic. My grandson loved the animals and activities at the farm and everyone was friendly and kind. For an old man the water park was very tiring but I am pleased I did it. We made good use of the hot tub and the fire pit (free logs). Great fun all round and unlike Center Parcs, we didn't feel like we were having money sucked out of us! Alum bay and the needles and other attractions close by too. Great fun and a big success for us. What is not to like?
Hi all, We had a wonderful stay - it is so lovely why you have produced at Tapnell Farm. A few thoughts from me - nothing major… - the welcome biscuits when you arrive is a lovely touch - for the kitchen I wish there was a cooking dish or two as luckily I had bought a couple of bits with me….also I wish there were oven gloves when using the oven - I was thinking maybe a picture of all of things you provide might help and then people know exactly what to pack… I packed a fan as it’s a quiet one however I didn’t need it - the electric car charges are quite spennny! - the indoor out...more
Beautiful stay in dome 5. Views were stunning and very peaceful. We enjoyed watching the sunset most evenings, enjoyed bbqs and taking in the scenery. The dome was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was a perfect addition. We visited the farm for the kids party which was great and also took advantage of the discount on the water inflatable course and the football golf which the kids loved.
Excellent property comfortable beds, great shower and hot tub, clean and all amenities provided. Plenty activities for the kids to enjoy themselves, Aqua Park and foot golf a big hit. Very safe environment.
There was everything we could want for a lovely holiday in our safari tent - deckchairs, hot tub, barbecue, countryside view - as well as all the usual things you would expect to be provided. It was spacious, clean and welcoming. Our 6 year old particularly liked the cosy bed hidden behind the curtains! All the staff were very friendly and there were lots of activities on the site to keep everyone occupied throughout our stay.
We had a great stay for a Wedding Weekend. There was nothing missing. The house was cozy and the landscape was beautiful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend it.
I took my three grandchildren for a 3 night stay at Tapnell Farm, there is nothing that has not been thought of, we stayed in a safari tent and we could not have been happier , literally everything was provided , we felt safe and warm and the facilities were amazing
Beautiful stunning location. Booked a last minute break for my two boys and husband for one night. Lovely lodge, everything you needed for the 4 of us. Available early . Super comfortable bed in the left hand room. My son wasn't keen on bed in his room. Made noise every time he moved. Couldn't find a chopping board. Also a lack of toiletries, two small bars of soap. Would have expected more. We didn't use the farm park or other activities as these didn't cater for our age range of children. 14 & 8. Aqua park and football golf were our options, but neither appealed. My 8 year old was ha...more
We very much enjoyed our stay at poachers lodge. The house was nice and roomy with a lovely big garden for the children to enjoy. We were kindly left milk, tea, coffee and biscuits before our Waitrose delivery arrived. Constant hot water- very important for a busy household preparing for the wedding weekend. Our only issue were the pillows. Thank you for every attention to make it a very special stay at Tapnell.
We had a wonderful stay at Tapnell farm. The modulog was beautiful and very peaceful despite loads of things going on nearby. Their attention to detail was great and the staff were very helpful. The only downside was the twin room was small for my 15 year old son to share with his younger brother, he had to sleep on the sofa which was completely fine. I think 2 adults in that room would be challenging. Also there was only one mini frying pan. But these are really minor negatives to an amazing holiday.
The containers are the perfect camping upgrade. Solid beds, nice locations, great view. The shower and toilet block is just what you need. Perfect spot to explore the island and the farm from. So much to do
Location is perfectly situated by scenic surroundings and tranquility. Great stay there. Overall 10/10 . Thanks . We see u again in future.
Booked an overnight stay for my husbands birthday and our wedding anniversary to escape from the responsibilities of home life and relax. From the moment we booked until we arrived the communication from chloe was excellent, keeping us informed of what to expect and how to check in. The ecopod was perfect for our overnight stay. We had a lovely relaxed evening on the decking, admiring the views before heading to the cow for a tasty meal. You are truly looked after when staying at tapnell, they think of everything and the service in the cow restaurant was exemplary also. Would highly reco...more
If you are being ultra picky then you could try and decide whether the Manor is a very olde house, or that some tiny bits of it are getting tired. But then it is a massive holiday destination and I can't be bothered to micro moan. We have been 3 times now (2018 / 2021 / 2025) and there are now 25 of us. The manor is a beautiful setting with wonderful grounds and nice views. It is a comfortable retreat. Also it is feet away from The wonderful Cow restaurant, the farm park and the Aqua Park. We always have a blast and Chloe and the team are very supportive and hands on if needed. The island is ...more
we had a short 4 night stay at Tapnell farm in a log cabin which was spacious and had everything that you would need for adults and children. we had brought our 2 dogs as well and had area that the dogs could be toileted the only problem was the garden area was not secured by a gate. would highly recommend as lots to do at the farm and near by areas.
Has a great stay at Tapnell Farm - the pod was well equipped and view was amazing, the little touches like the wheelbarrows to transport items was a brilliant idea. The view from the pod was stunning and location - very relaxing We holidayed with our Grandchildren and they loved all the activities at the farm when i booked it felt a bit expensive - but in the end was great value for money will certainly go back
This is our fourth stay at Tapnell and it always consistently delivers. The tent is pacious for 4 people and a dog and is well stocked with attention to detail to little things that makes all the difference (like heated blankets). Th hot tub is an added luxury which made the stay really special
We had a totally brilliant weekend. Thoroughly recommend! Loved that lots of comforts were included. Breath taking views and super onsite amenities.
Enjoyed our stay at the dome, great facilities and very comfortable. One cheeky request would be to add free entry into the farm when you pay to stay.
We loved our stay at Tapnell farm. The facilities were clean and well maintained, the accommodation had been thoughtfully designed for convenience and comfort and the location was hard to match. Far cheaper - and more fun - than a hotel.
We had a lovely stay with 16 of is divided over two safaritents. We thouroughly enjoyed it! Would go again without a second thought…
Not a comfortable accommodation. We were on holiday and you just can’t sit anywhere to relax because there are no cozy couches or chairs to settle into and just relax 2 picnic tables and one hard couch/bed 2 chairs outside are not nice either We were only 3 persons I cannot imagine one more body in the pod . Very tight w too many doors Bedrooms/beds were very uncomfortable and tight …..hot as well no good sleep for any of us no ventilation People trimming the hedge came at 8 am on Monday so no hot tub for us that morning Pod was very clean I would only recommend for ...more
We were a group of 4 adults on a short break. Ideal base for exploring west of Isle of Wight - Yarmouth, Needles, Freshwater trail, Tennyson’s house, etc. Dombala recommended for lunches & photo exhibition. Pleased with ferry discount available when booking accommodation, good value. Pretty house, easy to find, good views from upstairs bedrooms. Everywhere spotless. Milk in fridge & free eggs available, coffee pods, tea, sugar & biscuits. All appreciated. Kitchen very well equipped. Doors to back garden bit tricky to negotiate & lounge space great for 4 but probably not for larger gr...more
Beautiful Farm, perfectly equipped Safari Tents. Kids just loved it. We definitely will come back next Easter.
The snug was a perfect place to stay following our Wedding at East Afton. Such a beautiful little place which indeed is very "snug"! Modern but cosy, beautiful scenery.
We enjoyed our stay everything we needed would definitely stay again. These are beautiful little properties with a lovely view. It was also great having WiFi
We had an amazing stay at Camp Tapnell in the shipping containers. The showers were good, hot and clean. the toilets had hand dryers with hair dryers attached and toddler seats as part of seat which really helps with little kids. The kitchen area was well provided with toaster, air fryer and fridges and a microwave. They had provide soap in toilets and washing up liquid in kitchen. lots of drinking water taps near to containers too. we went into Tapnell farm and the kids loved it so much for the kids to do. We also experienced the Barn, Boots and Beats event in the evening which was great fun....more
We spent the weekend staying in one of the containers at the Farm and it exceeded all our expectations. The container itself was surprisingly comfortable—spacious enough for a relaxed stay for the 4 of us, with comfortable bunk beds. Everything was immaculately clean when we arrived, which instantly made us feel at ease and enough space to drop bags We had excellent access to all the on-site facilities—showers, toilets, and the onsite activity areas and the Cow co restaurant was AMAZING and just a short walk away from our container making the whole experience really convenient. Very comfortable cottage. Only ask is for the blinds in the double bed bedroom to be moved across so that the light in the early mor in does not hit the pillows. A good spot for getting to places of interest. Plus the amenities at the Farm for children especially Great.
Second time visiting this place. Such a lovely spot and so fun for the children. Facilities excellent. Only trouble was some people arrive not expecting camp site and assume hotel facilities! Showers and toilets fantastic. Staff prompt if any concerns. Very practical accommodation layout. Suggest a pump dispenser for washing up liquid as people use too much and it's gone within a day. Thank you
Thank you for a lovely lovely place to stay during our time on the beautiful Isle of Wight. I loved it. However, the rest of my family got eaten alive by mosquitoes and would not want to stay here again. I would come and stay again, but they wouldn't. Also, the family in the next-door container also got eaten alive by mosquitoes and had to cut their holiday short by 2 nights due to the ridiculous number of mosquito bites. It seems that the water park is a massive breeding ground for mosquitoes. I have never heard of anyone complaining about mosquitoes before on the Isle of Wight, but then I've...more
We loved the variety of things to do at the farm and the quality of the provision. Lots to do for those with young ones (2-10 yrs). For those kids who are slightly older, the teenagers, there is not so much to get stuck into beyond a couple of hours on site, but our daughter still enjoyed it and spent time with her younger sister. Accommodation is great, warm and we liked the novelty. The kitchen was stacked full of equipment, which made life so much easier. Loved all the signage throughout the site which outlined which guests should use what. The shower block was awesome for a camping sit...more
Great clamping experience and lovely location. Loads to do on the farm. Good facilities. Definitely recommended.
A fabulous stay with breathtaking views! The piglet had all I needed for a fabulous few nights sleep. The separate bathroom was really spacious and very clean. Thank you for a wonderful experience
We had a brilliant stay overall! Loved the location and facilities were very clean and well maintained, lots for the kids to do and the camp was really well set up. Great communication and discount on the ferry. Amazing meal at the cow. Also dog treats as a welcome gift was a lovely idea. We would have loved there to be less beds in the cabin to allow for more floor space! There were 4 bunk beds for 8 people so these took up all the floor space and there was no room to sit inside comfortably - we were a family of 4 with our dog!
We had a lovely stay at East Chalet. It’s large enough for a family of five or six, and has most amenities you’d need on a short break. All the beds are singles unless you remember to specify otherwise, and they’re small singles - great for kids but on the small side for adults. There are blinds in all the rooms but they leak a lot of light and fall down as they’re balanced on the rails. This would be an easy repair job. We were so impressed by the staff at the farm itself - friendly, helpful and loads of info. But the accommodation staff weren’t incredibly helpful. A few repairs we...more
