We had a lovely stay at Tapnell farm. We booked the aqua park and booked the padel court a couple of times, both activities were fantastic. We ate in the cow restaurant and agreed they served some of the best burgers we’ve eaten. The games room was also a big hit with my boys, we will definitely be back to stay again.
Great house for our group and such a bonus to be next to Tapnell farm with all the facilities and such a beautiful location- we will definitely Italy be back!
We had a lovely stay at West Chalet. The field in front was excellent for our dogs who had their best holiday. Cot and highchair provided for our 6-month old grandchild. My main gripe was storage. It would be much better to remove the doors from wardrobes in bedrooms to allow access for hanging clothes, or even to partly shelve out. We also had a main on a large noisy grass cutter outside our windows at 8am on Tuesday morning which got us all up bright and early. Had to glare at him for waking baby another morning too. We held our wedding reception at East Afton on 5th November 2025 and had a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. We stayed in the Farmhouse and Annex and found the accommodation to be spacious, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxed wedding stay. It really added to the whole experience. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and hardly needs any decoration, though we added some autumnal touches of our own. We stayed in a Dome and booked last minute, which included a discounted ferry. The Dome was great, very spacious and well equipped, especially the kitchen. The bathroom is huge and shower powerful. The kids loved the bunk beds! The view is incredible, my only slight complaint is that the domes aren’t soundproof and you can hear your neighbours. There are earplugs provided, but I just found it a shame as it’s just a peaceful location otherwise. It was only me that noticed it, my husband and children didn’t at all. I cannot thank Chloe, Mel and the team enough for being so accommodating from start to finish from the point of booking to the night. We unfortunately held the kitchen up a lot due to late arrivals due to bad weather and they couldn't have been more flexible and patient with us. The location, venue, food and service is 5 star all round - thank you!
We stayed in a piglet the night of our friends wedding. It was fabulous and so handy for the end of the night!

My family and I had a wonderful experience at The Geo dome (with hot tub). It was a weekend getaway for my birthday. The accommodation was very cosy, the vibe is romantic and family friendly. Everything that you needed was there and Chloe was really helpful. The accommodation was clean and well looked after. It was great value for money (we were able to avail some promotions when we booked it). Although there was a power outage on our second night but we're glad it was sorted promptly. We stayed here for our wedding proposal and it could not have been better. The staff left a card and some keep sakes. They also offered help for setting up the proposal. The Dome will forever be a part of our story. Can't recommend it enough. It was truly relaxing and a wind down from the every day stresses. I highly recommend for a romantic get away
Hi all, We had a wonderful stay - it is so lovely why you have produced at Tapnell Farm. A few thoughts from me - nothing major… - the welcome biscuits when you arrive is a lovely touch - for the kitchen I wish there was a cooking dish or two as luckily I had bought a couple of bits with me….also I wish there were oven gloves when using the oven - I was thinking maybe a picture of all of things you provide might help and then people know exactly what to pack… I packed a fan as it’s a quiet one however I didn’t need it - the electric car charges are quite spennny! - the indoor out...more
Excellent property comfortable beds, great shower and hot tub, clean and all amenities provided. Plenty activities for the kids to enjoy themselves, Aqua Park and foot golf a big hit. Very safe environment.
There was everything we could want for a lovely holiday in our safari tent - deckchairs, hot tub, barbecue, countryside view - as well as all the usual things you would expect to be provided. It was spacious, clean and welcoming. Our 6 year old particularly liked the cosy bed hidden behind the curtains! All the staff were very friendly and there were lots of activities on the site to keep everyone occupied throughout our stay.
Everything was perfec!. It is luxurious glamping at its best! Most relaxing holiday ever. Will definitely visit again.
We stayed in Log Cabin 1 on Tapnell farm and it was amazing. The cabin itself was lovely, accommodating, modern and clean. The full functioning kitchen was great which we needed and the bathrooms and bedrooms were lovely. The rooms were a little small but we made do. The location and view from the log cabin decking was gorgeous overlooking the fields. We would recommend better external signage. When we first arrived we couldn't find the log cabins- better signage from the car park all the way to the log cabin would have been good. We got to the end of the safari tents and were lost. Amazing stay at the farm. Modulog provided comfortable beds and all the Utensils for the weekend. Having the hot tub and BBQ was such a bonus and location on the farm was perfect.
The containers are the perfect camping upgrade. Solid beds, nice locations, great view. The shower and toilet block is just what you need. Perfect spot to explore the island and the farm from. So much to do
We love it here Mini break with family, friends and our dogs Warm, cozy, great location dogs had a gift bag (much appreciated) lovely touches and decorated for Christmas. We ventured into the park had a game of crazy golf. Would recommend
Poachers Lodge was our fourth stay at Tapnell Farm, sometimes without children, its so perfect & the staff are so friendly & helpful at Tapnell. The house was spacious, warm & cosy & would be perfect to stay in the summer with garden, bbq & comfy seating outside.
Staff were helpful with the show round, on the phone and while we were there. The kitchen had everything you need for 20 plus to stay. The spaces available were great for eating casually, fine dining, games, relaxing and dancing. Activities on hand at the farm were great too. Staff at The Cow were helpful as well.
I stayed in one of the copies with my son to support him on a school trip at Tapnell farm. The pod was lovely, clean and quietly situated away from the main park. Each pod comes with your own fire pit (we didn’t use it as it was windy that night), outside beanbag and two chairs to star gaze on. The pod was cosy and warm. Comes with everything you need eg tea, coffee, Isle of Wight milk and many other kitchen utensils. The eco pods are in an excellent location and everything is thought of down to a lightweight wheel barrow for taking your belongings superb only qualm was as it’s out of season the cow pub wasn’t open Sunday after 5pm and shuts until Thursday but I guess that’s supply and demand and it is out of season so can’t really complain
With beautiful views, a well lovely cabin, no end of activities and wonderful staff I couldn't recommend Tapnell Farm more highly. We were there for a corporate away day but would lovely to take the family as well.
We had a great time at Camp Tapnell. The communal spaces such as kitchen and clubhouse were a great way to meet other guests staying there. The facilities were clean. Communal kitchen was equipped with microwave, air-fryer, electric stoves, toasters and kettles, so just needed to bring our own kitchenware such as sauce pans, plates and utensils. Activities in Tapnell Farm Park were fun. My 13-year-old boy enjoyed the go-kart and mini and Tower slides the most as well as visiting the animal farm. Particularly the Alpaca and Wallabies. we had a short 4 night stay at Tapnell farm in a log cabin which was spacious and had everything that you would need for adults and children. we had brought our 2 dogs as well and had area that the dogs could be toileted the only problem was the garden area was not secured by a gate. would highly recommend as lots to do at the farm and near by areas.
Enjoyed our stay at the dome, great facilities and very comfortable. One cheeky request would be to add free entry into the farm when you pay to stay.
We had a wonderful stay, great location we did the Farm Park and Aqua Park. The container was lovely and warm. The showers were clean. Every thing seemed new. The kitchen area and fridge was so useful. As a family of 4 we would have preferred less beds (there were 8) and more communal space in the container - especially as it was raining.
We had a lovely stay with 16 of is divided over two safaritents. We thouroughly enjoyed it! Would go again without a second thought…
Very welcoming place for our family to stay for a wedding at nearby East Afton Farm. Great location for visiting Freshwater, Yarmouth and The Needles.

We had a fabulous stay at Tapnell. Cycled there from Yarmouth on a sunny autumnal day with our two kids and it was so nice to be able to check in so easily and go straight to our accom independently without all the usual faff. The modulogs are super cosy, practical and have everything you need. Our children immediately found some playmates a couple of cabins down and we made the most of our hot tub with fantastic view. Great location with stunning scenery. Our family of 4 + dog loved the location and facilities at Tapnell Farm. We only stayed 3 nights but could have easily stayed for a week. Wd stayed in the little lodge which was fantastic Only recommendation is that one of the double beds should become a twin as the kids didn't enjoy sharing a double!

We spent the weekend staying in one of the containers at the Farm and it exceeded all our expectations. The container itself was surprisingly comfortable—spacious enough for a relaxed stay for the 4 of us, with comfortable bunk beds. Everything was immaculately clean when we arrived, which instantly made us feel at ease and enough space to drop bags We had excellent access to all the on-site facilities—showers, toilets, and the onsite activity areas and the Cow co restaurant was AMAZING and just a short walk away from our container making the whole experience really convenient. We had an amazing stay at Camp Tapnell in the shipping containers. The showers were good, hot and clean. the toilets had hand dryers with hair dryers attached and toddler seats as part of seat which really helps with little kids. The kitchen area was well provided with toaster, air fryer and fridges and a microwave. They had provide soap in toilets and washing up liquid in kitchen. lots of drinking water taps near to containers too. we went into Tapnell farm and the kids loved it so much for the kids to do. Container is great, was so glad of the sturdy frame when it was rainy and windy all night. Was ready a bit early, found the pizza oven by safari tents and made pizza which the kids loved, farm is great and not too busy so lots of go karts, trampolines, bouncy pillow. Cafe nice but quite expensive, cappuccino £4, yummy cakes. Tesco 3 miles away in freshwater is handy for a meal deal etc. The cow was good but again quite expensive, nice atmosphere though and interesting layout, staff helpful. A product not ideally suited for a wedding venue occupancy. Insufficient hanging storage. Shower room badly equipped. Nowhere to dry towels. Vanity mirror blocks sink making both difficult to use. No storage to put bathroom essentials. No storage for a suitcase or 2. Mattress needs replacing on bed. Great views and if you are into rustic it is ideal. solution in the bathroom in my opinion would be to have corner shelves above the toilet, a flat mirror above the sink and some hooks to hang towels . Remove pendant light above breakfast bar as to low as you hit your head on it constantly...more
Fantastic stay everything was lovely . Lovely added touches like milk and fresh eggs provided on arrival . Only very small gripe would be the shower. No pressure and temperature was very hard to navigate.
Thank you for a lovely lovely place to stay during our time on the beautiful Isle of Wight. I loved it. However, the rest of my family got eaten alive by mosquitoes and would not want to stay here again. I would come and stay again, but they wouldn't. Also, the family in the next-door container also got eaten alive by mosquitoes and had to cut their holiday short by 2 nights due to the ridiculous number of mosquito bites. It seems that the water park is a massive breeding ground for mosquitoes. I have never heard of anyone complaining about mosquitoes before on the Isle of Wight, but then I've...more
Location is great. Showers and kitchen area are clean and kept tidy. The fire pit and football goals are a lovely addition for the children to enjoy… could have done with a small play park/a couple of swings. The containers themselves are a very fun and exciting concepts but the beds are so uncomfortable. The plastic sheeting covering them isn’t ideal and kept people awake. The cow is gorgeous. All staff at Tapnell were so friendly and helpful.
Second time visiting this place. Such a lovely spot and so fun for the children. Facilities excellent. Only trouble was some people arrive not expecting camp site and assume hotel facilities! Showers and toilets fantastic. Staff prompt if any concerns. Very practical accommodation layout. Suggest a pump dispenser for washing up liquid as people use too much and it's gone within a day. We loved the variety of things to do at the farm and the quality of the provision. Lots to do for those with young ones (2-10 yrs). For those kids who are slightly older, the teenagers, there is not so much to get stuck into beyond a couple of hours on site, but our daughter still enjoyed it and spent time with her younger sister. Accommodation is great, warm and we liked the novelty. The kitchen was stacked full of equipment, which made life so much easier. A fabulous stay with breathtaking views! The piglet had all I needed for a fabulous few nights sleep. The separate bathroom was really spacious and very clean. Thank you for a wonderful experience
We had a brilliant stay overall! Loved the location and facilities were very clean and well maintained, lots for the kids to do and the camp was really well set up. Great communication and discount on the ferry. Amazing meal at the cow. Also dog treats as a welcome gift was a lovely idea. We would have loved there to be less beds in the cabin to allow for more floor space! There were 4 bunk beds for 8 people so these took up all the floor space and there was no room to sit inside comfortably - we were a family of 4 with our dog!
Good central location and recommended for a weekend break, the Aqua park is well worth a visit. Overall we found it Tapnell Farm rather expensive, for example the Cow pub was charging £7.50 a pint and £20 for a burger. East chalet is also located next to the toilet block, during the night you'd hear the noise from the Macerator, not ideal for a restful break.
