I booked cottage 6 and 7 to host my best friend’s hen party. The location was ideal as was only a short drive to York race course. The hot tubs were a great touch. Very spacious and perfect for group stays. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
It was a perfect property for a hen do. There were 12 of us & it was ideal with a lovely patio & grassed area for games & a hot tub for relaxation. It contained everything needed for the stay & we did need to contact the business for a small issue that was promptly dealt with. My only suggestion would be the cottage that the farmhouse looks onto, there could be some screening for both hot tubs, it didn’t affect us as no one was in th other property whilst we were there but from the hot tub you could see straight into their hot tub.
Basically a lovely property in a nice area, the kitchen was clean and well stocked. Unfortunately the remainder of the property was not so good. Uncomfortable sofa's with no cushions to help, beds very uncomfortable and frames falling apart. The hot tub is externally maintained but should be checked daily, on the second day of use the water was starting to smell. Visiting in December we also found it to be quite cold and draughty. For the price I paid I expected a little more comfort.
We stayed over 2 nights in 2 cottages (1 and 8) the location was perfect, the grounds were so clean and modern. The beds were so comfortable, even the bedding was so nice to sleep on. We were blown away with the amenities provided for our stay, Murton Grange is literally a home from home. As Maid of Honour, I was worried about venues and making it just right for my sister. The cottage is great it's as everything we need from cooking and washing all we needed to bring we're ourselves and clothing
We booked this for my Hen do, there were 16 of us and we opted for 2 cottages next door to have use of 2 hot tubs. We requested early check in and this was no bother and such a smooth process! I had also requested for the chairs/sofas to be moved around and this was also done with ease and the set up was perfect. This is such a lovely family run business and the admin/email responses were very fast and informative. Such a lovely location too. The cottages we had faced onto the A64 but this wasn't an issue and there was little to no noise, it was actually nice to sit and watch the world go by!...more
The perfect place to get together and enjoy our weekend away we booked 2 cottage so fabulous to have anyone together, the cottage’s have everything you need .
Very clean, modern and everything you need. The people working there either staff or owner were friendly and helpful. It was my mam's 93rd birthday and they brought her a card, it was a lovely thoughtful touch
