The Byre had everything we needed for our stay as we spent most of our time in Robins nest with friends, the only negative we had was that this accommodation was pet friendly but there was no enclosed area to let our dog out by himself.
We stayed at High Kirkland for two weeks at the beginning of October and it was blissful! The dark and quiet environment made for good sleeps and the cottage had everything we needed to self-cater. The location was an excellent base for visiting all of the attractions of Galloway, as well as access to all amenities. We visited Wigtown, Mull of Galloway, distilleries, the Smokehouse, the Ice cream farm, Gatehouse of Fleet, Kircudbright, and even saw otters at Threave nature reserve!
We had a great time at the Robins Nest, the accommodation had everything and more that we needed for our stay, had a minor issue with hot water and Donald rectified the problem straight away, close to all amenities, great walks and wonderful views. Would highly recommend.
