Just returned from an ideal week at Brinkburn with ideal comfort and beautiful surroundings. An ideal place to discover Northumberland and we wil be booking for next year.
A beautiful cottage, one of the best I've stayed in. Facilities were excellent, attention to detail was spot on. Clean and a home from home. The welcome hamper was full of local produce and goodies and with a huge basket of wood for the woodburner was much appreciated. I would definitely come back and stay again.
We had a great 4 night stay at Bel House. Very stylish and well-equipped house, with lots of utensils in the kitchen. The bathroom window handle upstairs is broken and fell off once, which was dangerous. A foldable gate would be useful to make the garden fully secure for dogs. The under the counter fridge was a bit difficult to get into/ on the small size. I understand it's a holiday let and doesn't need a massive fridge, but might be tricky as you have to kneel down to get to the back. Lovely cottages in a beautiful location, well equipped and clean. Owners/staff very helpful and friendly. The accommodation includes about a mile of beautiful river. Husband took advantage of the free fishing. It was challenging but fun
