Both myself and the friend who I stayed with at Hooting Lodge could not have been more delighted with the lodge itself or impressed with Jayne as our hostess for the week. Owing to travel times we arrived early and in some very wet weather. Not only was the lodge completely ready for us to go in to (1.5 hours earlier than the advised check-in time), but Jayne provided a wet weather hat (mine was packed away) for when moving our bags into the lodge! The accommodation is clean, well maintained and the hosts welcoming and friendly. They give you a decent welcome food pack which other places that we have stayed in have not always provided. We stayed in Tooting Lodge for two weeks and at the beginning of the second week we were given another food pack which we thought was extremely decent of the hosts. We have never experienced that before. They have made their land into a wildlife oasis with various mammals and birds visiting both during the day and night.
