This was our first visit to the Chestnuts and it really lived up to our expectations. The house is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and furnished and decorated with style. The modern kitchen area has been tastefully integrated with the original building. The garden is lovely, with many roses in full bloom and some comfortable sitting areas which we were able to use despite the occasional shower! The village is a real Cotswold gem, with a ford through the local stream which runs past the bottom of the garden and a friendly pub which serves very good food close by. We had a peaceful stay, with superb facilities. The layout of the house and the first class furnishings made it very comfortable - a home from home plus! The information provided and the owner's dedication to eco policies were great to see in action. The garden was a delight with different areas for different times of the day - with or without sun. Unfortunately the British weather was very windy at times which affected some plans, but the location made up for it. It is very handy for the busier chocolate box towns & villages! We would definitely like to stay again.
